I gotta say: DYKG doing these longer “to fall asleep to” videos is a nice move lol. Now it just needs some lofi beats and spoken in whispers and it’d be snooze city for everyone
These compilations really do help me to sleep! I love having DYKG available in so many different formats! From podcasts to compilations like this, I'm set for when I feel like learning.
I appreciate all of these “…to fall asleep to” videos, I’ve been doing that each night for the last week and it’s exactly what I’ve needed! All full of super interesting trivia about these series
I fucking love this channel for tapping into what all of our brains have been craving over the course of our lifetimes, as 90’s babies. And older generations of course. Nobody talks about this genre of video enough, and yet i KNOW that we all LOVE this stuff. This channel and the others that share this passion are everything. The things you see here will be glorified as niche retro stuff someday soon, and that’s okay with me 💜
it was fun seeing these individual fact videos as they came out, but i’m sure for future folk finding the channel for the first time these kinds of compilations must make for a lot of fun ‘movie nights’ or, yeah, just sleepy listening. awesome to see how far you guys have come and how much you’ve accomplished!
Never thought about the irish influence for wind waker's music but it's definitely there, I guess I always looked to the dragonroost island theme as the face for the game's soundtrack because I loved it so much.
Here's a blatant N64 fact: The N64 version of Donald Duck Goin Quackers contains corrupted, glitched music. The music is actually a good midi version of the PC version's music (which is really great, btw!) but also contains a few new songs that are to this day not as audible as they were intended by the composer.
This channel truly is one my favorites on all of UA-cam. You guys do such hard work, and it's always a such a joy to see a new video or a new collab with some of my other favorite creators. Thank you so much.
Still can’t believe they title the videos “Facts to Fall Asleep To” because it’s like they read my mind lol. I got the videos in a playlist and one night I slept to MGS and woke up to more MGS 😂
was going to ask you to tell him that the menu music for Turok 2 is a certified hood classic but I see he's uploaded the entire soundtrack to youtube so I told him myself!
If I remember correctly, it's been at least 10 years since I first came and saw DYKG. Over the years, you have brought in so many people and channels who made my pre-teen and teen years some joy.
It's interesting how much localisation of games affects what we end up getting in our products. Its only until we have a great channel like this where we can compare so many differences.
Man you guys need to keep doing this videos they are great relaxers for downtime , who would've thought that you guys would grow up this much when you started this
DYKG adding these compilation videos are pretty helpful for having something interesting to listen too while working or sleeping. Always fun to learn some new facts about games we like.
I want to thank you guys for all the long form content to listen to (and yes sleep to). It's gotten me through a lot of bad mental days where I need something to distract my mind. It helps while I'm driving for work and when I just wanna chill and relax to some good content. Thank you guys so much for all you guys do and I pray for a long life for all your channels.
Thank you guys so much for making these hour long videos, I always have a select few videos I listen to when I got to sleep and after a while I get bored of listening to them, but these videos are the kind that I can always listen to.
My favorite ways to sleep with or just keep around as background noise. helps with my loneliness/tinnitus. Thanks for uploading these hour long/multiple hour long compilations!
I appreciate the "to fall asleep to" series so much since I struggle to fall asleep; either I pass out with the help of them or I learn cool facts I never knew - win/win! But really, all of your content is great. Thank you so much for all you do for video game history and preservation!
Thank you so much for transalting all these interviews that have been locked behind the language barrier for decades! So many small details no one outside Japan would have ever known. So much work left unseen...
I really like these long videos, watch them while working (mosty listen). Helps keeping boredom away and you don't have to go pick a new video every couple minutes. Also, while I do watch the regular ones, seeing one of these after some time gives you that "Oh yeah! that thing!" moment.
I could literally watch this every night, I’m so forgetful I’m still fascinated by these facts💀 great work as always guys! I like you sometimes do more obscure licensed games, more interesting to me in a way.
I absolutely love these hour-long videos "to fall asleep to". I never fall asleep to them but they make for excellent background sound while I'm working (software engineer). I can tone in and out at random and there's always something interesting to hear.
just wanted to say that i really enjoy videos like these. i have always had trouble sleeping, so these genuinely help. i also listen to Nintendo music with rain effects added.
It's easy to look back on N64/PS1 era titles as being "better" because of nostalgic reasons but I think there's a real element of experimentation and seeing what worked that made everything fun. So many fun titles were produced just because companies were open to trying so many new and different ideas. Things feel less varied now among AAA developers and it's up to indie titles to fill the void.
Congrats on the milestone! I’ve always loved history and video game history is just special kind of interest, I can’t wait to see what you guys have in store for years to come. Especially for the 3ds and switch history.
My favorite DYKG Video is the Jet Set Radio one, I always keep an eye out for cool information for games I care about. Thanks DYKG team for being the best at gaming trivia videos.
lol I love the thumbnail on this one. Thanks for these compilations, they're really nice to have on in the background when drawing or doing other stuff like that!
As a person who does watch these to sleep (Generalized Anxiety Disorder this takes my mind off of breathing) I really appreciate you guys going back and making these quieter the old jarring connections between videos and loud voices made it a little difficult to focus on sleeping
I love these videos, I used to watch their short form videos all the time but lately I’m more interested in having long form content play in the background as I do various tasks. Helps makes chores go by faster
These videos keep me relaxed and intrigued with new information about old consoles I love and cherish. Thank you DYKG for nostalgia trips, uncovering forgotten secrets, and keeping everyone invested in video game history!
Even for a subject I know so much about, gaming trivia + specifically trivia about my first ever video game console, I could listen to/watch this video three times and still retain something new every time. You guys are a godsend keeping my hyperfixation satisfied, and all this information archived.
I love these videos so much, just having background noise to help you sleep is great and with just lil gaming facts its interesting to listen to in the background but not so exciting it defeats the purpose of trying to fall asleep to them
Sweet! I got learn about my favorite Zelda games! Such good memories with the N64! The nostalgia hit is real strong with this video! Thank you guys a ton!
I just wanted to let you guys know how much detail you give to Pokémon facts. My favorite video of all time has to be the Russian translation. The story behind it, as well as the descriptions of most Pokémon are priceless. I tried to push that video to so many of my friends but I don't think they made it through the whole thing haha
N64 was my first console. I still love it and play games from N64 almost 30 years later. Nice to catch some trivia I haven't heared before. Thank you very much for this video!
I love to listen to these videos in the background, but whenever it's great stuff like Majora's Mask facts I always get fully invested. Such a great game.
I've been really enjoying these videos. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night but have 2hrs till I have to get ready for work and it makes for a pleasant thing to listen to while laying in bed. Have yet to fall asleep to one mostly because they are legit fun facts.
Keep these going! I've been enjoying listing to these while I stay up with my newborn at night trying to get him to sleep. I've always enjoyed the work you guys do.
Been subscribed for a while. I really enjoy that these are now one large compilation from your first channel. Makes it a lot nicer to just play in the background.
Really glad for this format, I tend to listen to stuff like that while playing video games or doing chores so it's cool not to have to pause what I'm doing to select the next video every 10 minutes or so 😊
I will always love the N64. The wacky controller, the games with their punchy sound effects and melodic music, and the charming first foray into 3D for Nintendo. Thank you guys for posting so many facts about that era!
Nice, I was actually searching for sleep videos or audios related to video games before but the ones I found don’t seem to fit well with me. Glad I found this since I really enjoy the main channel and this actually helps.
These dykg clips to sleep to make me have nostalgic dreams about my childhood. Nice to revisit the good old days sometimes even though it's just dreams. Thanks dykg!
I've recently been having troubles sleeping, which is something I'm not really proud of as it has GREATLY messed up my daily schedule. A couple days ago, late at one of my nightly UA-cam binges, I was recommended your Zelda facts to fall asleep to; and ever since using these videos have been a great help to try and fix my broken sleep. From the bottom of my heart thank you, and keep up the good work 😄
the work that all of you do to try to preserve all of gaming history is great! lots of history gets lost to time so people attempting to keep as much content alive is great!
I had no idea you guys started doing videos like this! I use to fall asleep to your videos all the time. Definitely going to be using these all the time
I can always count on dykg to keep me entertained while I manage to learn stuff in games that I grew up with and I thought I already knew most about I love it!
Even though I've already watched all the original videos, I love these compilations. They're great to have on in the background while gaming. Always relearn something I've forgotten since I first watched them
I love these forms of videos. Perfect background noise and I always find out things I didn't know before. Super glad the main channel is back in the right hands and making more awesome content!
always loved DYKG videos, the amount of information that lurks on the internet about games that i would have never known about if it weren't for this channel
What's great is the moment i wake up i can't remember a single fact from these videos and i can rewatch them when I'm awake
That's so real
on goddd
Me still do it when sleeping so il never know and repeat so that's what keep me sleeping
I gotta say: DYKG doing these longer “to fall asleep to” videos is a nice move lol. Now it just needs some lofi beats and spoken in whispers and it’d be snooze city for everyone
I love this trend of hours worth of content to sleep to. It helps if you're having some pretty awful thoughts (I was having some bad health issues).
God bless and I hope for the best for you ❤
@@BarrickMacreadyyou as well😊 x100 ❤
Just think about cremias behind.

yeah nothing against some good old nostalgia sometimes
It's like if the kid we knew on the playground had a brother who worked in videogames and was actually telling the truth!
Not only are these "fall asleep to" videos great, the thumbnail art is always so adorable!
Perfect timing to have this play in the background as I do chores. Seriously love DYKG as background noise, plus always excellent content!
I work custodial and they really help me get through the day.
That's how I do chores w my adhd. Lmao keeps me focused

This channel is exactly what I need, these hour-long fact videos are so relaxing
These sleep videos have been a fantastic idea both for genuine calm content to relax to as well as helping gather some of the themed trivia together.
Even though I can't really fall asleep to these, I still really appreciate the time and effort you all put into these long videos.
Never thought about the irish influence for wind waker's music but it's definitely there, I guess I always looked to the dragonroost island theme as the face for the game's soundtrack because I loved it so much.
I have so many of these "facts to fall asleep to" in my playlist _for_ falling asleep lol. Dykg just has the most soothing voices!

@@evanstudios69The TCRF page of the game has more info about that. There is also a repair patch in the works by fans. :)

I like how Aonuma, when asked about the Majora's Mask theories, was just like "?????"
Man you guys are so nostalgic. I remember listening to DYKG for hours while playing games on my old laptop.
I just love the sleepy thumbnails on this Channel
Darren Mitchell, the composer for Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Turok 2, and Turok: Rage Wars, is now a coworker of mine. What a small world.
was going to ask you to tell him that the menu music for Turok 2 is a certified hood classic but I see he's uploaded the entire soundtrack to youtube so I told him myself!
Port of adia is the best ost ever. Let him know that
I don't think I'd ever fall asleep to any of these videos. I've always been interested in all the facts and can't get enough!
These are my favorite videos. You should put hidden messages in the videos to give props to those who stayed awake.
Yeah, like free Nintendo switch games codes. Lol
It’s cool that different Zelda games have themes based off different cultures
