It's The Legend of Zelda's 35th Anniversary next year so maybe nintendo will go all out for that like they did with Mario this year. A collection with Ocarina, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess would make my year. 😁
I watched this video to get some nostalgia. It kind of made me realize how few really good games the N64 had. I thought there were so many more ha. I also feel like the N64 was in that weird era where they were pushing new 3D graphics, but they looked so bad. I think SNES graphics looked better. Still some all time classics either way though!
The N64 / Saturn / PS1 era was a weird one. Games have either aged well or very badly. I do agree at the SNES games looking better today. Their graphics are timeless.
Nintendo 64 is my fav console of all-time!!! Here's my top 10 list: 1. Banjo-Kazooie 2. Banjo-Tooie 3. GoldenEye 007 4. Super Smash Bros. 5. Star Fox 64 6. Mario Kart 64 7. Super Mario 64 8. Diddy Kong Racing 9. Mario Party 2 10. Pokemon Snap

Glad you put Extreme G in this list! It always seems lost in the void but me and my cousins had hours upon hours playing that game! Of course I sucked cause they owned the 64 but whenever I see it I remember me at 12 trying to master the 64 controller (the ps1 controller was WAAAY easier to handle) and trying to win a single race. I never won but I had a good time trying!!

WOW the N64 was so epic. Giant hit after giant hit. It's just incredible. I'm so blessed to have the privilege to be a collector for this system. If I only had one system to play forever, and all others would be excluded for life, it would be this console.
That's a really good list. I've heard good things about the original mario party games but strangely didn't play them back then. They are on my wishlist of games to pick up in the future though. They seem to be super expensive though.
Mario Kart 64 & Goldeneye gotta be top 5 for me. Diddy Kong Racing was a great game but MK64 was timeless Perfect Dark may have technically been better than Goldeneye but Goldeneye is the game I got the most memories with
Any love for those games is awesome. I remember Diddy Kong Racing really surprising me with its great gameplay, open world hub, multiple vehicles. I played it not stop for years. Awesome games! And im happy to say i played most of the games feautured on this list!
I'm happy to hear that. I wish they would either release a mini N64 or add some games to the Switch Online service. This console always needs more love.
I wish they would remake Ocarina of Time for Switch
It's The Legend of Zelda's 35th Anniversary next year so maybe nintendo will go all out for that like they did with Mario this year.
A collection with Ocarina, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess would make my year. 😁
@@StevieROM I admire your optimism
It's all I have. Lol
Here's my top 10 list:
1. Banjo-Kazooie
2. Banjo-Tooie
3. GoldenEye 007
4. Super Smash Bros.
5. Star Fox 64
6. Mario Kart 64
7. Super Mario 64
8. Diddy Kong Racing
9. Mario Party 2
10. Pokemon Snap
That's a fantastic list. So many greats. Pokemon snap is the only one I haven't played before.
Nice video. thanks for the list. Ihave a little question what´s the song on 7:38 ?
Let me check and get back to you. Been that long ago since I made this.
Lam Alice - Nguoi Phu Keo Mo Cau
Owned every game on this list
Nice, you have great taste. :-)
Any missing you would have liked to have been here?
I agree for the most part, but mario party and mario tennis definitely need to be on the list
They are games I'm only getting to play for the first time. New list will be coming.
Mario tennis was hella fun, glad someone else agrees with me
Game, set and match !
Two words
“Gauntlet Legends!”
Never played on N64. I'll add it to my wishlist. 😁
That game is BADASS! 😎
I just started replaying mine again, its
Bomber Hero would be on my list just for the soundtrack. That game is bumping!
My list of games I haven't got or played yet is getting bigger everyday. I'll look for this.
Awesome list mate ☺️👍🏻
I see these are all games you played, might I recommend the Bomberman games and Mischief Makers? Love those myself personally.
Also, there were some games on here I’ve never heard of! :O
Will be checking out Extreme G and Forsaken!
Thank you for the kind comment. Mischief makers is one I played after I recorded this video, I loved it. Bomberman is one I'll make sure to play. I've been playing and recording some new stuff plus thinking of changing the order of some of the games here.
Thanks for the recommendations, always happy to get those. 😁
@@StevieROM Oh awesome!
Thanks for the response :)
Are you into all kinds of retros? Or is the N64 a special case?
You seem to make a lot of video's about those
@@cecillewolters1995 I collect and play a lot of stuff. NES, SNES, Mega Drive, All PlayStations & Atari mainly but the N64 is one of my all time favourites from my childhood.
@@StevieROM Allright, that's awesome :D
I have a lot myself too, but it goes from NES to Wii, including handhelds. (and Ps2 and Xbox360)
Do you have an all time favorite game? Or maybe a favorite game per console?
Just curious
Glad you put Extreme G in this list!
It always seems lost in the void but me and my cousins had hours upon hours playing that game!
Of course I sucked cause they owned the 64 but whenever I see it I remember me at 12 trying to master the 64 controller (the ps1 controller was WAAAY easier to handle) and trying to win a single race. I never won but I had a good time trying!!
What a great memory. Glad you were happy with it being on the list. Jumping from a PS1 controller to N64 wasn't the easiest.
Having a good time trying is basically my experience with old games today, I suck most of the time. 😂
How is Mario Kart 18th on this list? Easily top 3 n64 game of all time.
My favorite N64 games
1.Super Mario 64
2.Mario Kart 64
3.Yoshis Story
4.Diddy Kong Racing
5.Donkey Kong 64
6.Conkers Bad Fur Day
7.Perfect Dark
8.Goldeneye
9.Star Fox 64
10.all Turok games for N64
11.Gex:Enter the Gecko
12.South Park
13.South Park:Chefs Luv Shack
14.Jet Force Gemini
15.Doom 64
16.Duke Nukem 64
17.Duke Nukem:Zero Hour
18.Vigilante 8
19.The World is Not Enough
20.Killer Instinct Gold
21.Banjo-Kazooie
22.Banjo-Tooie
23.Ocarina of Time
24.Majoras Mask
25.Mortal Kombat 4
26.Resident Evil 2 (N64 version)
27.Quake 1&2
That is a great list. N64 love all the way. 😜
Banjo Tooie being ahead of Donkey Kong is Treason
BODY HARVEST! WE WOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE WITHOUT THAT GAME
I do love body harvest. I picked it up about a year ago. It hasn't aged the greatest but still brings back loads of good memories.
Lol at Diddy Kong Racing being higher than Mario Kart 😅🤣😂🤣
Too right. It's a far better game in my opinion.
what is the song played at the end?
I will check my library and get you the name of it soon. 😁
Lam Alice - Nguoi Phu Keo Mo Cau
Can't argue with that top 2! In either order wouldn't of made a difference to me. The two best games ever for me.
I'm glad to see so much love for these games. 😁
Just bought a jungle green with turok to get me going, looking for some gems I never knew about. Already know about the main big ones.
That's a lovely console, I'm jealous, turok is still awesome today. I am working on a 100 N64 games video , hoping to include more hidden gems that I missed first time round.
Not a single mario party, no mario tennis? Is this list for real?
When I made this list I hadn't played any of those games.
WOW the N64 was so epic. Giant hit after giant hit. It's just incredible. I'm so blessed to have the privilege to be a collector for this system. If I only had one system to play forever, and all others would be excluded for life, it would be this console.
Glad to hear you are a massive fan. What would be your top favourites?
What's number 23?
Killer Instinct Gold.
1. Zelda ocarina of time
2. Mario 64
3. Majoras mask
4. Star fox 64
5. Donkey Kong 64
6. Mariokart
7.supersmash bro’s
8. Diddykong racing
9.marioparty 2
10. Pokemon stadium
11. 007 goldeneye
12. Marioparty
13. Banjo kazooie
14.
That's a really good list. I've heard good things about the original mario party games but strangely didn't play them back then. They are on my wishlist of games to pick up in the future though. They seem to be super expensive though.
i loved how you put goldeneye 007 on #7 on the list XD
You get it. 😊
You are nuts Mario karts a top-five game
I can't even remember where I plated it. What's your top 5 games?
Duke Nukem will forever be my favorite N64 game
Buena edicion broh 💪
Mario Kart 64 & Goldeneye gotta be top 5 for me.
Diddy Kong Racing was a great game but MK64 was timeless
Perfect Dark may have technically been better than Goldeneye but Goldeneye is the game I got the most memories with
Any love for those games is awesome.
I remember Diddy Kong Racing really surprising me with its great gameplay, open world hub, multiple vehicles. I played it not stop for years.
Goldeneye was king until Perfect Dark arrived, it just improved the formula for me but I've loads of great memories with goldeneye, both the single player and friendship ending multiplayer. 😁
@@StevieROM yeah if I remember correctly Diddy Kong Racing was surprisingly good.. I didn't know I'd be able to fly a plane or have a cool hub-world like that. I'm surprised that game still stays unique in that way and nobody tried to build on that
It's still sad that Donkey Kong Racing got cancelled for the Gamecube after Microsoft bought Rare. Might have been a great franchise still going today. And I agree, why hasn't anybody else done this well?
I remember renting a lot of these at the local video store lol Starcraft was a major game to play if I could find someone with similar knowledge of the game
That wasn't the original N64 version of Perfect Dark.
How do you mean?
1 - Ocarina of Time
2 - Mario 64
3 - Banjo Kazooie
4 - Goldeneye
5 - Mario Kart 64
7 - Majora’s Mask
8 - Diddy Kong Racing
9 - Mario Party 2
10 - Perfect Dark
Love it. ❤️
I'm one of the weird people who likes Perfect Dark over Goldeneye and Diddy Kong over Mario Kart.
Forsaken was a really cool game 🤩
I don't hear a lot of people talk about Forsaken but I loved it.
Army men Sargent's heroes 1 and 2, Mission Impossible, just to name a few that are also good
The games that make N64 timeless
So many greats. I had to leave out a load too. Could easily do a top hundred. 😁
StevieROM you should do it man
The star wars one I remember omg
If this is in order I would have a completely different list, plus I would say some games shouldn't be here and others should be in their place! This is a good list anyway
Thanks. This video is a few years old, there's definitely things I would shuffle around and remove today if I did it again.
Get rid of the turoks and quakes, replace it with the Mario parties, the Gex games, toy story 2, mortal kombat 4, and maybe even the ready 2 rumbles, then you got yourself a solid top 50 list
Mario party is one series I couldn't get into back then but have grown to love over the years. I did love Gex on PlayStation, Ready to Rumble on Dreamcast and have played Toy Story 2 recently. All great games.
I'm a sucker for first person shooters though.
I’m thinking of taking my old n64 out and playing it again.maybe I will pick up some new games from eBay.I have always had a soft part in my heart for my n64
That's good to hear. I've been collecting again for a few years now. Some are very expensive but luckily most of the ones I've wanted have been cheap.
The n64 is about when I quit playing games seriously
I can't even imagine doing that. I've never grown out of it.
It was an awesome system back in the day cutting edge the games could speak words you could explore world although my friend liked resident evil.I knew I had the better system
@@davidsimons5764 they did some amazing things with those small memory cartridges. It has some of the best aged games ever but unfortunately a lot of games didn't age so well.
My only issue is WWF No Mercy being so low.
I'll be higher in my next list. Been playing it again recently and forgot how good it actually is.
Mother 3 would of been top ten for sure
very good list i just miss mission impossible, pokemons snap, i prefer hexen 64 over doom and specially miss Mischief Makers! also i think yoshi´s island is very low, good list.
Mission Impossible had a load of great gameplay , just needed a bit of patience to enjoy it. Never played Pokemon Snap but I've heard a few people say it's ace. Yoshi's Story is a weird one for me, it was never amazing back in the day but I've learnt to appreciate it a bit more recently. Maybe time for a new list. lol
WCW Revenge was the best wrestling without a doubt at that time. Hawaiian Wahli golf. Is the best sports game. Both should be on the list
I've never played either of those.
@@StevieROM nah I wouldn't imagine solid list though homie
@@Slevencolevra thank you. I take a note of the games people mention here and pick them up when I can grab a bargain. That list is a couple years old so I might do an updated one or a top hundred.
@@StevieROM keep up the entertainment my dude
Road Rash on number 35 is extraordinary generous for that game.
I love road rash. The 64 version isn't my favourite in the series but I was glad to have it on the console.
Decent list, surprised to see no Mario party games or Pokémon stadium 2 which was vastly superior to the first game (or at least the first one we got in North America, also Pokémon snap was pretty good too) I would recommend checking out some of the import titles as well because games like sin and punishment, Rakukids, Animal forest and the puyo puyo games just to name a few were also pretty good. Also suprised to see shadow man on the list especially so high as I myself find the game to be sub par and definitely not a top 50 game
All of those games you mentioned I hadn't played but I've been collecting more and planning on an updated list. Shadowman is a classic for me, loved the story, atmosphere and level design. I have weird taste in some games. Lol
No Mercy this low in the list is a crime!!
It's considered by many to be the greatest wrestling game of all time. The greatest of anything should get it's due
I'd probably rate it a bit higher if I made a new list now but it wouldn't be in my top ten as I'm not a massive wrestling fan.
