- Pretty easy, but iconic! Here's a how to video for Padmé's braided hairstyle at the end of Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Hair Length: at least armpit length
Materials: small hair elastics, bobby pins, hair extensions
Skills needed: English braid, rope braid
Time cost: 10-30 minutes

And keep in mind Padme is super pregnant when she wore this hairstyle, so no need for an overelaborate hair, this hairstyle was designed for comfort and practicality!
funny how her braid buns formed an infinity symbol since that was the scene where Anakin choked her almost to death.
I'll be wearing that today and tomorrow since it is May the 4th that day. That'll be the only way I can celebrate May the 4th.

I did this style on a friend for a Star Wars party and found doing the lower portion with a few stitches of Dutch braid made securing the buns way easier because they had something with more structure to anchor the pins.

You could just try it without using extensions. With very thick and long hair it could work

I live in the UK and in winter it rains a lot and is very cold so I end up wearing lots of big coats, hats and scarves but I find I always get a tangled mess at the nape of my neck what can I do to help because it just ends up all broken :(
I totally get what you mean. I think the only reliable way unfortunately is just to wear the hair up in a high bun/braid etc.

Can this hairstyle been done without extensions?
She only used them to mimick the thickness that Padme has. Without the extensions the style wouldn't be as big.
