Hayden and Natalie are so sweet and so are Ewan and Natalie.
People can say what they want about the prequel trilogy but we can’t deny the costumes were amazing. I loved Padme’s dresses when I saw these films as a kid.
Padmé is probably my favorite character from the prequels. She looked unbelievably gorgeous in Episode II. I've always desired to wear her outfits from this movie and have them in my wardrobe, they are so pretty. Padmé is a role-model that I dreamt of being as a young girl in the early 00's. A girl can dream.....
"Princess Leia's costumes were designed to not draw attention to themselves."
*makes her wear a metal bra to call attention to itself*
The gold bikini didn't belong to Leia, it was something Jabba made her wear.
I simple adore these clothes they put on her! Their so amazing!
Padme' s costumes were sooo beautiful in episode 2!😍
I absolutely LOVE Padme's wedding dress!
as someone who loves Star Wars and fashion design, my fangirl heart is really happy while watching this. George Lucas put more effort in designing one costume for Natalie than Disney did to write a whole trilogy.
She is EXCRUCIATINGLY beautiful I mean, I'm not saying anything that's not obvious lol I just mean it really almost hurts how absolutely stunning she is! 💘
Thanks for posting this; I absolutely love the Prequel costumes (and the Prequels themselves, of course)!
If there was one actress I wish to could It would be Natalie Portman.
I would like to say that George Lucas with that costume that he designed for Natalie, is without a doubt a genius.
I see a lot of chemistry between Hayden and Natalie. I wish they are together but well... Turns out they're just friends
@@SuperMoMo1233
Oh, you KNOW they at least did it.
Two stunningly beautiful people, constantly in close proximity under these extremely special circumstances and situations, yea.
If they didn't do it they at least made out a ton between this and episode III
Why on Earth do people have post snide, sarcastic comments about how much they hate the prequels here? Keep it to YOURSELF. The rest of us are allowed to love the prequels as much as we want, and if you don't like it, just shut up and keep watching the sequels.
the originals, not sequels! and the originals will stand the test of time for brilliance, the prequels wont
+Frida Nyberg That's like asking why human beings ever feel the need to be negative.
"There's this one that George came up with"
its like bdsm hahhaa
Exactly!! Before they revealed which one it was I had already guessed it, since it's always been the most impractical and out of place from all her dresses. At least now I know why it felt so wrong haha
Big thanks for delivering all those webisodes and documentary footage. :)
God dam she’s easily the most beautiful woman In all three trilogies
"Packing?? Dressing like that to pack!" LMAO
"Packing!? You gotta dress like that to *pack*!?"
Lol
I agree with Natalie Portman, that her costumes she wore as Queen Padme Amidala in episodes I (Phantom Menace) and II (Attack Of The Clones) are gorgeous; however, just most of them. Same for with the costumes in episode III (Revenge Of The Sith). With her hair styles and makeup too. I would like to see her friend, Bryce Dallas Howard, try on her costumes she wore. It would be great if this costume feature was longer for this and the previous, and if we could see a costume feature for Amidala's handmaidens.
she’s so pure ❤
that yellow and pink dress she wears when they first kiss is so gorgeous i would pay any money to have the original designer make for me to wear
is there like a full fledged documentary only on the creation of costumes, like step by step..or just about the costumes...i would love to see it
I love the way that neither of them are allowed to be in love for God knows what reason, but she's wearing shit like "P-19" to her romantic picnic with Anakin.
Things were so profitable and beautiful before order 66. I never understood why when people take over they wanna live in an ugly mess.
Power corrupts ultimate power ultimately corrupts, the Jedi where flawed but sadly Luke made the same mistake of ridged rules. Why do people grow up mentally and emotionally unstable or broken because in there youth they where not given proper treatment and grace and when needed discipline, anakin fell because the lack of proper education in control if your emotions and not just stuffing them away to mold and fester
@@techgunz275 I don’t think op’s comment was about Anakin, it seemed to refer to the Empire.
Episode: (focuses on sam jackson and natalie)
Ahmed: is the best
4:15 Disney really could’ve learned a lot from this quote
@CWAHelp These are from the dvds.
Wow
4:26 what scene is that? I've never seen this costume on Padme, anyone knows if this can be seen somewhere?
Ricky Drizzle I believe that was in the scene where she's packing for the trip to naboo
Looks like the costume Padmé wears in the first deleted scene, which takes place between the first assassination attempt on her life and the first scene in Palpatine's office. Where Padmé immediately addresses the senate following the assassination attempt.
@CWAHelp The dvds had a bonus disc with certain copies. The discs had these webisodes and other behind the scenes documentaries on them.
I'm making the picnic gown yep
is there any featurette with Zam Wessell?

Padme is so fine.
What scene is 4:27 from?
Things each female protagonist taught me
Leia taught me that you can be strong even in the hardest of times.
Rey taught me that you can find the light in someone, no matter how tough it seems
Padmè taught me that I can wear whatever the fuck I want
2:00 Goku shirt!!
Armed best was fuckin lit
Early 2000s we had star wars lord of the rings and my persobal favourite DBZ
Wow I dont think she realized how major her character was going to be to the story in this lol
At 4:27 , i don't recognise the scene or dress. Anyone knows?

I don't like sand
Padme is so strong and such a powerful leader!!....
few years later she dies of a broken heart.... smh
I'm a subscriber to the theory that Palpatine sucked out her life Force for Anakin/Vader.
Just because somebody is a leader in a professional setting doesn’t mean they can’t have emotions and be hurt by loss in their private life. Stop this dehumanization crap where HUMANS are expected to behave like robots. All it does is make empathy-less psychopathic “leaders” who lead society to violence and destruction.
The costumes look discount rejects but good ones

2:33 like Margot robbie in dceu
1:30 "This one is much more about making her as beautiful as we possibly can." It's almost like Lucas is thinking "We've gotta make her as beautiful and sexy as we possibly can. Otherwise we've fucked up.".
Ahmed is such a chad!
Guys the kiss at 4:30 though...omfg. **nosebleeds** Obidala shippers anyone?
@@ade8182 FINALLY! Someone else who notices! Obi wan outright HATED Padme! (He looks down on politicians, straight up called her a fraud behind her back to Anakin, multiple times tried to ditch her to die, the whole story is how he and the Jedi are trying to break Ani&Pad, lied to Luke & Leia about her); Obidala is Reylo levels of toxic. 🤢
Honestly, the sole remaining remnant of my former fascination with the prequels is the costumes. The scripts were questionable, the arcs were rickety, and even the CGI was indulgent but the costumes were so precise and thought out and perhaps the only flawless aspect.
i knowwwww i love the fashion in these movies i hate that everything else fell thru
Movies were fine too, they’re overhated. Even if you don’t believe that, I want to say how ANNOYING it is that people have a constant NEED to criticize some aspect of prequels in anything that’s related to them. Like imagine if everyone went to something OT related and kept mentioning incest or the teddy bears or something. Just keep it to yourself, people came here for the costumes, no one came to listen to your whining. 😑
Romance girl
"They can be powerful and they can be soft..."
And they can give birth and then lose their will to live :/
How can design go wrong???Watch this.
And they can say such vapid lines as "I love the water"

George designed Padme's S&M outfit? That makes perfect sense. Pretty much everything in the prequels is as bad depending on how much involvement Lucas had with it. The dress is not only extremely stupid looking, but makes very little sense based on what Padme was saying in that situation.
Padme: You listen. We live in a real world. Come back to it. You're studying to become a Jedi Knight. I'm a Senator. If you follow your thoughts through to conclusion, they will take us to a place we cannot go... regardless of the way we feel about each other.
*Wears her most revealing outfit yet when she says this*
By the way, I was going to paraphrase what she said to make it more obvious of how stupid she sounds, but this is a direct line from the movie and I didn't remember it being this bad.
i hated this scene....too much of modern looks (push up bra...small waist) and trying to have her look logical and serious.....
that's the entire point. that she is trying to resist falling in love and putting feelings before her and Anakins careers, but this is one of the ways they highlight that she chose to wear something sexy to dinner. probably in a denial kind of way. 'it doesn't matter, I can wear whatever I want because I am strong enough to not let this relationship happen, I am a senator and he is a jedi, nothing can happen no matter what I wear.' and that's also another point. she could've worn anything, Anakin loved her strength and passion not her position or wealth.
I always thought that dress felt too out of place in comparison to the rest of her wardrobe, and actually the leather stuff and looking so tight felt even wrong on the character and the scene. Now I know it was 100% George's idea, which comes as no surprise xD
The outfit George designed is the worst, he should've let Trisha do the job. The rest of her wardrobe is amazing.
I thought the picnic outfit made Natalie Portman look like a medieval princess. I wish I had Padme's entire wardrobe in my closet.
Not to mention those two things on the sides of her head? Princess Leia anyone?
