- Here's a hair tutorial on 3 iconic Star Wars hairstyles! You've seen these on Leia, Padme, and Rey; now you can learn to do them on yourself!
I think the style of the hair in Star Wars is incredible! And I love looking at how people cosplay them. Today's hairstyles are from The Force Awakens, The Attack of the Clones, and A New Hope. And I just realized they're all buns! How funny! Overall, I was really happy to do tutorials on these hair styles from the leading ladies of StarWars!

XP I'll politelly disagree. But you do do pal. Personally I'm theorizing she's not related to anyone famous (Luke or Obi-Wan per se) I mean. She did say "I'm no one" in the beggining of the film so it could be foreshadowing. My opinion tho.

It isn't really difficult to do. My hair is shorter but i've done this as a half-up half-down double bun thing before without looking until after and it turns out fine.

+Michifer That is normal when you do not have a 2 metres hair so you can not make this so easily. This tutorial (and Padme's) is to make it with false hair, so convoluted.

The only problem is that I do have long enough hair, but not thick enough...I really have to buy some fake hair........
+kaca. hen (Honey) Leia has crazily long hair in ANH; around mid thigh. o_O In contrast it's only hip length in ROTJ.And even with the mid thigh/knee length hair you'd still need extensions unless it's also very thick. They seriously used some thick wigs for Leia.On the upside Kanekalon is pretty cheap. :)

Honestly not gonna lie, I didn't realized how her hair looked liked until now because I never paid attention to it in the movies hahaha so just giving it attention now made me realize how funky and funny it looks yet surprisingly good and stylish.

For me (a fairly curly-haired person) the key to doing Rey's hair was to style it when it was still wet. It gave it a really straight, smooth distribution and it even looked the tiniest bit greasy like it does in the movie, while not actually being greasy. Plus the hair stuck better as I was wrapping it around the little buns. Thanks for the tutorial! :)

If you don’t have enough hair to loop the ends around the buns for Rey’s hair, you can just stick the ends into the next one. I actually use this hairstyle a lot and people actually think it is pretty cool! If you like it, wear it as much as you like! Don’t let people think you are weird for wearing the hairstyle of a character you admire

On another note, Have you ever thought about doing a Sailor Moon hair tutorial? I can't tell you how many hours I spent trying to figure that out as a teenager, but I never quite got it.
