I’d really love a video on how to hook 2 of these A80 tuna blues to the spectral controller X I’d really appreciate it actually cause the controller will not read them what am I missing

If you doubled up on these could you put 2 in a 20 inch deep for a mixed reef and a 36 gallon bowfront? Also does it give better performance and coverage mounted higher or lower?

Just after the warranty period, both control knobs stopped working, Now the light turn on full intensity with no control. Kessil offers $90 plus shipping coupon meanwhile used on selling at $80. Great LED light with Poor reliability. Perhaps I just got bed apple out of piles. Who knows.

Wont the metal rust? The mount connections will be in water and made of metal! Screws too! If I bought he controller will it control other kessils incase I upgrade later?

Hi there, our products have been designed to be used around saltwater so the metal on all of the mounting parts has been anodized and tested for this use. If you do use our Spectral X controller this will allow you to connect to the A80 as well as the rest of our controllable fixtures going forward!

LOTS OF INFO, BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE ON A TANK

How is this light capable of only 4 inches of clearnce? Thats the problem I have been having is I only have 4 1/2 inches of space above my tank because of kitchen cabinets. I have watched brs do a review of prime which I am more interest in in and it had to be mounted 12 inches above. At 6 inches above it had a hot spot in the middle of over 450 par and arond it dropped to 150 then back and front walls were 24 and corner was 8!! Basically renders the light unusable at 6 inch or below mount! I just think that only have 2 color and to charge 100.00 for a controller is redicious! Also please explain why this can be mounted so low. I was thinking I could turn the power down on the prime but the par is already to low away from the center hot spot and that was at 6 inches away, so imagine 12 inches! Also I know corals need nm below 420 for chloropyll a and how are you achieving that with no uv or violet?

Thank you for your interest in our product! Mounting height for aquarium LEDs are based on many factors such as power, lensing, and LED location. The A80 is able to achieve this low mounting height due to our lens design which pushes light from our dense array as evenly as possible across the tank which is why our lights provide a natural shimmer. Our lighting does only have two channels, one for intensity and one for color. This is done to make the setup as easy as possible as you can set the color anywhere from 0% (deep blue) to 100% (white) and this will provide the proper spectrums for coral growth. This means that all settings have the wavelengths needed for chlorophyll a as well as other spectrums we have tested for growth and coloration built in, including our true UVA chip and a blend of spectrums between 400 and 500nm.

@@KessilTube So this light has uv? Is there any violet in the blue? Because isnt violet somewhere in the low 400 spectrum? I am pretty new so still learning! I have heard a lot of good things about this light and growth! The only other light I could findthat I am interested in is a strip fluval that can be mounted low and dont think I can compare the kessil name to fluval! LOL. Maybe I phrased that wrong but meaning kessil is way better! haha. I saw someone test par though and it was pretty low. How much more par would having 2 be on a 24 x 12. Percentage wise?
