This was helpful from the perspective of how Kessil lights are designed in general. We have a set of AP700s and now I - finally - understand the blue spectrums and how they relate to the red and green options.

This video would have been SUPER helpful 4 months ago when the light came out. Luckily its super easy to use and you can basically figure it out on your own because it doesn't come with any instructions.

if you were trying to make this as complicated and obtuse as possible, well, you succeeded... I go into the program and choose acclimation, and set the starting intensity for 10%, it saves, and then... nothing. wtf.

Just downloaded the latest (first) firmware update for the X and my PC isn't seeing the controller, although its plugged into the firmware port. Any instructions on this?

I like the A360x lights a lot, but if I knew they were this difficult to set up i would have bought something else. This video just talked at me. I really didn't get anything from it. I am at a loss as to how to set up these lights.
What should the two controller knobs on the A80 be set to?
I have a 160 and every time I plug it in it’s says no lamps detected and then I have to manually change the schedule every time I want the colour/intensity to increase/decrease. Any tips? Firmware all up to date.
I’ll wait until they get a phone app. Sucks doing all setup a changes stuck to a wired controller 2’ away from your tank. I run my AI light though a app and I still run my old 360 kessil in the middle of the AI 26’s. I do love the new Kessil X light but the controls to the phone is their next hurdle they need to overcome before I send any more on upgrades.
When you unplug the unit from wall power.. is it normal to lose all you’re programming?
To figure out the light you have to grind up an acropora, drink it, and sit in the woods for 8 hours, then come back and tinker in every setting till you and you alone figure it out. BTW customer support is excellent. But you know... still do 8 hrs in the woods.
Why didn’t you include as many adjustable options for the a160 tuna sun as you do for all latest models? I could have saved myself some money buy using a fluval which does a lot more compared to the a160 connected to the poor controller
For any newcomers to Kessil. Go to SETTINGS FIRST and turn off the damn DEMO MODE before you even watch this video. It's kind of dumb that he tells you at the end of the video!!!!!

What should the color and intensity knobs be set at while the light is connected to the controller. I’m finding that when I have the controller set to 100% intensity then I turn the knob on the light up to 100% intensity the light gets brighter. But the light will not turn off when the controller reads 0% intensity with the knob also at 100% intensity. The light will only turn off if I have the intensity knob set to 0%. I feel like the light may have more intensity without the controller because of this.
Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!
I ordered this controller with two A80 Tuna Blue lights and they don’t show up as lights in any sections. Shouldn’t it recognize what light is plugged into it? Any way to add the lights to the controller since the retailers sell them together and insist they’re backwards compatible?

My controller is connected to my 360 we through the 110v port and I can manually change colors and see previews but it says 0 lamps are detected so it won’t set the program. What am I missing?

So basically, this controller was made for the latest tuna blue lights. I brought this for the use with 2 a160s sun and all it does is turn the lights on and off with little variation. I feel I’ve been ripped off.
Same here! How do you turn off the lights with a Spectra Controller with A160s? Or do I have to buy a timer? Thanks!
When using a 360 X to power the controller, do I need to use a seperate power supply to power the 0-10 volt lights
you can power the controller via the USB firmware socket on the controller, you just might need to source a USB plug to power the lead

It’s absolutely useless with the tuba sun a160. All it does is turn the lights on and off with limited adjustments. Total waste of money as obviously designed to work with the latest models
Time to go smart phone app control through WiFi. Hi tech light with 100 year old controller is really itchy.

@@KessilTube How do run light cycles on nicrew 100 watt lights. Can I not use the quick sets for these lights. Like blues in the morning then slowly ramp up the lights then ramp down in the evening?
