I truly love your lights I have a lot of them but it’s really too bad you couldn’t have kept this light at a reasonable price you would’ve done a lot of damage to these other companies if you did I cannot believe that these lights not only by you but by other companies or in the $800 range I understand everybody’s trying to make money but you truly would’ve put damage on these other companies if you would’ve kept this in the $600-$700 range. Trying to convince the wife to spend over $800 on one life trust me it’s going to be impossible I don’t understand. It looks like I have to go with AI 32 They might not be as good but they’re at least in a great ballpark for price

It's a fair point in terms of price! In Canada these run 1200+ before tax and mounting arm right now. You have to remember you get more coverage from one AP9X (48") vs 24" with the AI 32 Hydra. Also compared to the hydra on a fixture per fixture basis the spacing between the light pucks is greater which would mean less shadowing as well.

Hi Kessil, I just purchased my FIRST Kessil product H160 today...Question...hopefully I get a response...Is there an adapter or housing that can be added to the light housing in order to prevent Light SPillage? I have spillage in my refugium area, shich create a bloom/ especially in my skimmer...

Been a Kessil fan for YEARS. I just got 3 APXs yesterday and haven’t set them up yet so this may be answered when I do, but is there a new app, or are they controllable by the AP700 app? If there’s a new app, can it control APXs AND AP700s? I will still have 1 AP700s in use and would like them on the same schedule with the 3 new APXs? Lastly, is there a way to get my AP360X in the loop as well or will it still need its own app (I have the WiFi dongle). Thanks!

I have a 48x24x16 frag tank. Looking hard at the ap9x. Ya its expensive. Here in canada its 1099 plus 130 CND for the arm. Two radion would be even more. I notice aquanest has a similar light aquanest max m7. It comes with a support arm. All their lights do. Problem is finding any info (real life exp) on their equipment. So what to do. Used gen 4 radion? Or new ap9x.

Did you end up getting it? I have a tank the same dimensions as you and wondering if I should get this light

Is 1 ap9x enough to light a 48x24x16 tank? I mainly want softies and anemones. I just ordered the light and hoping it’s enough

@@Felis-Concolor i think it is a ton of light for the tank. And I like the way it looks. I recently saw a 120 with 4 gen 5 radions the smaller ones. I didn't care for the look at all. The support arms are fat for them. I did a 30 day acclimation, twice. After the first time I moved over my aviopora frag and bleached it. It is now losing all its polyps. I used the tuna blue preset. I should have maybe doubled the acclimation or been smarter about putting that coral in.
