Amazing the difference with tires. I waited until the last upgrade to put beadlocks and rc4wd tires on my jeep (I have the Patagonia and Goodyear) but I couldn't figure out why all my upgrades didn't help that much until the tires then holy crap what a different.
Hey there! Love the Channel ! I just wanted to mention that if you flip the front bumper mounts the HR bumper sits way nicer to the body and also lifts it considerably giving you a way better attack angle. Not sure how that would work with the other models But for the Jeep it’s a great move!
This will be an interesting series on the Deadbolt. Mine has wheel weights & I lowered the esc 5mm & 80% of the time it will out crawl my C10 that has the same Nitto tires & steel beadlocks. I’ve tried the shocks on the frame & for me it didn’t work. The gain wasn’t enough to over come it being more top heavy. I’m sure your tire comparison will be great when finished.
I haven't fully watched the video yet, but will when I get home. I did subscribe to your channel though and looking forward to watching more of your videos. I'm torn between the C10 and the deadbolt. It'll be my first 1/24. I did however buy the JConcepts Creep body.
Just picked up a deadbolt and a green c10 today for me and my wife, got a brass diff, brass wheel weights and front brass wheel hubs. Waiting for the new bronco to get here. I think we all need least 1 of each model lol
Deadbolt is my favourite just very hard to get also seeing the driver in the machine makes it all better. Stretching springs twice the length and a second front end for the rear for rear steer on ch3. But you could do it to any of the 24's.
What is your course molded from, it looks fantastic? And how long did it take you to build? That is a piece of art in my book. Thanks for sharing with us.
I am not surprised to see how much better the thornbird are than stock (they look GREAT BTW!) but i am surprised how much better the c10 tires are than the deadbolts! I would have guessed they would be basically the same compound and softness! Your doing great work bud!
ThePreppersBunkerOutdoors yeah I knew the c10 did a little better on the course in stock from and sort of knew it was the tires but I was surprised they were that much better! I tried a couple climbs over and over with the stock deadbolt tires and it just wouldn’t do anything! The C10s aren’t great but they will at least climb something lol. I see a lot of people using the stock dead bolt tires and i just can’t figure out how?! I’ve never been able to get anything out of them. I mean you can soak them in wd40 and help soften them a tad but they still just don’t compare to a good set.

Jelly Leggs that’s definitely a good idea. I may try to do that soon. I have sooo many videos I’ve started that I need to finish but I’ll try to get to work on that as well
Hey man, I've been loving the videos and you convinced me to get some upgrades for my scx24. One of the things that I bought was the +4mm stub axle set from Hot Racing. They seem to wobble when you steer to one side though. I made sure to put the O-ring from the stock axle into the new axle but it still wobbles. If you have any tips or information for me that would be greatly appreciated! -Daniel
daniel dowd check your steering dual rate. You may have to dial it down a bit. Hold your truck off the ground and turn to one side and give it some throttle. Watch to see if the drive cup is sort of binding. Turn it the other way and do the same. Sometimes when you’re able to turn farther than you really should it binds and causes a wobble. Let me know if that helps! Glad you’re enjoying the videos. I have so many more planned! I just gotta make time to get one project at a time finished lol
Greetings Matt, congrats on your new toy...let the mods begin....LOL...I was looking at the RC4WD Raceline Comp Bead locks like you show here. Skip Miller I’ll have to measure to check if they stay stock width or not but so far they seem pretty good. I’m not a big fan of the way they mount myself. I would’ve bought them a long time ago if they had a hex. So far I’ve had no issue with it but I sort of like having my hex personally. The little screws that come in them and the racelines suck. The tool they give you for them is horrible and strips out instantly. I made one with a screw that had a head on it that fit them.
