    Ingredients Round baking pan Ø 24cm (9 inch) - (the measurement “cup” is always approx. information, as the original recipe is in grams)
    Please always remember that every oven is different, so the baking times can vary
    Dough:
    200g (1⅔ cups) flour
    110g (½ cup little bit more) sugar
    125g (½ cup) butter
    1 packet of vanilla sugar (8g, ½ tablespoon)
    1 egg yolk
    ½ (8g ~ 2 tsp) packet of baking powder
    Filling:
    125g (½ cup) butter
    200g (1 cup) sugar
    4 egg yolks
    5 egg whites
    1 tbsp semolina
    ½ (18g, 3 tbsp) packet of vanilla pudding
    1 large or 1 ½ small organic oranges (4 tbsp orange juice and orange zest)
    500g (2 cups) low-fat curd (alternatively low fat cream cheese)
    Pinch of salt
    Fat for the baking pan
    Preparation:
    1. Separate an egg and put the egg white aside. Mix the flour, sugar, butter, vanilla sugar, egg yolk and baking powder to make a crumbly dough.
    2. Line the bottom of a baking pan (approx. Ø 24cm / 9 inch) with baking paper and grease the edge.
    3. Fill two thirds of the dough into the baking pan, put the other third aside.
    4. For the filling: separate 4 eggs, keep the egg white. Mix all the ingredients for the filling together, except the egg white. Beat everything together until foamy and until the sugar has dissolved.
    5. Add the egg white for the dough to the other four egg whites. Add a pinch of salt, beat until stiff and fold into the curd cream.
    6. Pour the mixture onto the dough and crumble the remaining crumbs over the filling so that everything is more or less covered.
    7. Bake in the preheated oven on the bottom rack at 175°C conventional oven (Convection oven - fan oven 155°C / European gas level 2 / otherwise gas level 3) for 60 - 75 minutes. I recommend covering the cake slightly with aluminum foil after 45 minutes.
