    The quick fit kit is brilliant. I had fixed ones on my old tiger 800, which rusted, as I ride in all weathers. I can take the carriers off my 900 in a couple of minutes now, so only put them on when needed. Had my 900 for 2 years now. Great bike!

    This is a very useful and informative video, thank you. I picked up a new 900 Gt Pro last week, also in the best colour just like yours 🙂 I needed to fit an SW Motech luggage system, which also has quick release frames, a similar process to yours and much easier for me once I'd watched your video. My only issue with my system was having to bolt the rear mount through the number plate, not had to do that before with the SW Motech kit on 2 previous bikes. Just curious, how did you end up securing your number plate?

    • @tigerness5555
      @tigerness5555  Рік тому +2

      The same as you, bolt through the number plate / Givi bracket then mudguard. Works well with No issues.

    other vdi's stay to put a learger 47l on the left side to keep balance with the right side overhanging the exhaust; more weight on the right as shown here. . The v47 top box will overhang the side so hope its not interfering the opening of the others ??? trekker boxes only open up from the front side ?

    Great video thank you. What plate are you using for your top case? I noticed that yourt top case is further back. My Givi has mine pushing into the second ride position making it uncomfortable for the passenger. There's no way to adjust it further back so I assume you have a different plate holding your Givi top case mount. Thanks so much.

    how much overhang is there for mounting givi trekker pannier boxes; i see some may not open with a v47 top box on a tiger 900 ?? givi pannier rails use same both sides or one larger than other depending how they fit w/ exhaust. sure i'm not gonig to put a square top box on. Helmets don't fit and little space compared to others.

    • @tigerness5555
      @tigerness5555  6 місяців тому

      Some top boxes won’t work with top opening panniers. The taller square top boxes will take a helmet.

      The panniers and frames are pretty strong so I’m pretty sure they would hold up the bike if it’s dropped. Thankfully I’ve never dropped this bike, fingers crossed I never will 🤞.

    Hi,
    I have the tiger 900 gt 2023 model. i have the triumph OEM monokey pannier rails fitted. i am looking at the soft luggage of givi gtr720 canyon. which has the same monekey system. but givi says the bags wont fit the triumph OEM rails. i dont wont to pay for their system like you have fitted on your bike . big question i now, but would it be possible for you to measure the distanced between the top locking fitting and the two locating lugs below .so i can compare to triumph rails. dimensions please. appreciate your time .

    • @tigerness5555
      @tigerness5555  8 місяців тому

      The distance centre to centre of the bottom locating lugs is 226 mm
      From the centre top locking fitting to the centre of each bottom locating lug is 250 mm
      I don’t know if there are any differences between the Givi item and the Givi made Triumph item. I suspect the lock barrels will be different, I have 2 keys one for the bike and one for the panniers and top box.

      I have the Triumph branded "Givi" monokey frames mounted on my '23 850 sport. I also have the canyon bags mounted to these frames. After many calls to local Givi guys I just made couple of metal plates that relocated the top locking device, don't quote me now it was 16,000 miles ago about 15/16 of an inch lower and remounted the locking block to this plate. Works like a charm. If you want I can send a pic.
