  • Chad headed to Spain last year to ride the new Triumph Tiger 900 bikes, the GT on road and Rally Pro off-road. We can't wait to get the bike back to the UK to see how it compares to the competition.

    I'm loving the gentle ribbing between Chad and Chris on who get's to do what and where. And backs up that this is the best bike show on UA-cam by a country mile.

    It's great that finally a company has allowed full off-road control of the safety toys.

    Should have blacked out all the bolts. These draw you eyes away from the aesthetic and in my view looks terrible.

      I always spray paint my engine bolts black for that reason, often many of the smaller screws around the plastics and fairings as well. The reflective silver really does degrade the overall bike design.

    Not sure them limiting switching from certain modes is a safety issue at all, sounds more like a Triumph excuse. KTMs have been able to do it for the past 4 years.The bike however looks great, but it's a real shame they didn't shave any weight of it. Look forward to that group test in the future.

    How bright is the screen while riding at night? Can you dimm the brightnes within one touch of a button or scroll of a wheel? So many distractions with the screens and adjustments, and the highway government are still wondering why accidents have increased. Even Chad admits it during the test...

    how's the heat? the previous version would blow hot air directly to the calves, essentially slow roasting it. Has been addressed?

    As a shorter rider how did you find the height of the Rally Pro. I'm 5' 10" and will be riding two up with luggage a lot of the time. I'm liking the extra suspension travel to soak up potholed, corrogated gravel roads but I'm wondering about slow speed manoeuvring ?

    Has the engine firing order been changed as per the 1200? I read elsewhere that this is the case. That mod ruined the 1200 compared to previous models due to vibration has the 900 got same problem? Thanks guys great review 👍

    • @steffenthorup6888
      @steffenthorup6888 7 місяців тому

      Since 2020, yeah. The 800 has an even firing order. All the 900s have an offset firing order

    Ducati offers an A2 version of the Multi V2. Curious what’s keeping Triumph from doing it. Perhaps the same thing that keeps them from mode switching on the fly like KTM and Ducati?

    • @PovilasPanavas
      @PovilasPanavas 6 місяців тому

      That is a very interesting point, I also noticed. But it's not legal. No idea how they make it work. Rules are clear, the bike before restriction cannot make more than 70kw of power. But Ducati website lists even DesertX as A2 compliant.

    • @PovilasPanavas
      @PovilasPanavas 6 місяців тому

      So I googled, and a person on Redit said that Ducati replied with this: "With regard to your request, we would kindly inform you that in case you purchase a depowered version (35KW), ridable with an A2 licence, it is only possible to convert it to a maximum power of 70KW, and not to the original full power version (80KW)."
      So basically, if you buy A2 license, you will never get full power. (This obviously is a software lock, they surely don't have a different engine in it).

      It's market forces. If they weren't able to make a profit then they're not going to stay on the offchance that you might have bought another. I'm sure there are plenty of mechanics around that can deal with any issues that your bike might have.

      @@BikeWorldTVshow Well I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend Chad. However, he said himself in this video that he is a very average rider when it comes to offroad riding. I personally believe that I am an above average offroad rider as I do a lot of hard enduro riding. That said, I don't feel obligated to proof that to you. I respect Bike World as a great publication, that's why I cared enough to even write a comment at all.
