    I've used that company myself, excellent products and that's impressive delivery considering the distance.
    When I fitted the front fender extender to my Tiger 800 some years back, I just used double sided tape. Never fell off in the time I owned the bike.

      Your right the double side sticky tape is pretty darn good. I just feel more comfortable with both.

      What about some JB Weld plastic glue and a few clamps overnight

    Fast delivery. The blue hugger looks good on there. Gives it a little more color. I like it. The Fenda Extenda should stay on forever.

    I reccomend the screws, just put your hand on the opposite side of fender so it goes through your hand instead of the tire if you mess up. LOL
    That's afine blue, I like it!!

      Yes screws would work too. Getting my drill in for a couple holes would have been tough with the fender still on but I got your point.

    Hi Jerry. I installed the fender extender and the minimal rear shock protector. I flaked out with the pop rivets. I got to the point with the front fender where I felt I was going do some damage getting it off. Then with the rear minimal shock shield I just said “screw it”. It’s been 4 months with no failures. I’ll keep you updated.

      They make some excellent products. I had both of these on my 2021 Tiger for 10,000 miles and loved them both.

    I've bought the 'fenda extenda' for my Tiger 900 GT. I'm hopeful that fitting it is a better experience than I had with a Speed Twin. I'm not going to try and remove the fender as I don't have the confidence to manage that the way you did. Rather I'll try to just stick it using the provided double sided sticky tape. The problem I had with the Speed Twin was that when I'd fitted the extenda with the tape the extension was almost rubbing against the wheel and I ended up having to remove it. Because it was so close I couldn't use the plastic pop rivets not any alternative aluminium ones to reinforce the fit.

      I've never met anyone who couldn't do what I could mechanically before 😀 kinda makes me feel good. I think the sticky tape will work fine since you won't be banging the bike off road👍

    Let us know how the fender extension works. They also make a longer one and I’m debating which one to get. So glad I found this channel. Planning a trip to SD next year. Maybe we can meet up 👍

      I had these on my 2021 for about 9000 miles and they were marvelous. A longer front extension would probably be better yet. I appreciate your subscription and comments. You will love the Spearfish area.

    Thanks for video… definitely need to do this kind of mod on my tiger 850…took a ride yesterday and the roads here in Pa are a mess…the swing arm and shock area really gets mucked up with road salt and debris.

    But the front extenda comes with their own plastic pop rivet that work just fine.

    • @flatcapcaferacer
      @flatcapcaferacer  Рік тому

      Yes I believe I remember there were four plastic rivets which like you said would work just fine and I suppose the sticky back pads they provided would too. I've had good luck with aluminum revits and I wanted seven not four. Overkill perhaps. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      3m tape probably fine, 3 rivets certainly safer, I'm a little more aggressive so more than 3 revits 😁

    It's disappointing that bike manufacturers do not install adequate front fenders, and that owners have to do this job themselves just to keep the pipes and radiator free of road debris. Many of the new "retro" models are equipped with full-size fenders ( or as we call them, mudguards) so I guess it's just a fashion thing.

    • @flatcapcaferacer
      @flatcapcaferacer  Рік тому

      Gerry it certainly seems to be more fashionably to remove rear mudguards. Since I ride in rain, snow, etc having more protection works better for me. The last bike I bought that adequate front and rear mudguards was my 2017 Royal Enfield.

    Well done install video. One of your previous videos touched on the addition of deflectors for the radiator exhaust. Curious if the heat on your summer trip convinced you to try some remedy for this radiator exhaust heat issue.
