What an insane transformation this tiny 32 SQ FT space within my home is turning into! I started last week by ripping out the cabinetry and installing a built in desk using wood flooring. This week we are finishing up the wood paneling, adding a fun detail to the ceiling, DIYing a few elements and styling this space to perfection!

OMGosh, YOU'RE AMAZING.QUESTION: DO OR WOULD YOU REVAMP A TOTALLY DISABLED OLD WOMAN' HOUSE? IT'S ONLY 957 SQ FOOT HOME, BUT DOESN'T FUNCTION FOR ME. IT WAS BUILT IN 1957 OR 58
Just an FYI - if you are working with oil based stains, etc., you can get them off your skin by using an oil. Any oil (cooking oil, coconut oil, olive oil, etc.). Just rub the oil onto your stained skin and the oil based stain comes right off.
Great recommendation on the Helix mattress. I also purchased the adjustable base as I have physical limitations. I have had them about a year and love them!
Congratulations on the Helix sponsorship.
I concur!
THIS NEEDS TO BE SAID… DREW IS UNMATCHED everything he touches he transforms it into a work of art! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I couldn't agree more. He hits a home run EVERY time!
Drew, you do not disappoint 🥰
HGTV needs to discover you!!
Hope not, he is already fantastic, most HGTV names are not after a short time
💯 agree!
As usual, you've outdone yourself, Drew! Perfectly done space!
Each room just is more magical What a talent you are , so enjoyed it 😀
The crescent desk lamp with the red metal shade is a stunner and adds just enough red to perk up the wall and tie in with the rug and curtains without detracting from the calm vibe you have achieved with the rest of the scheme. Congrats on your new office!
Absolutely THIS!!!
Yes! It was my big birthday splurge this past year and I absolutely love it!
Agree!
He has great taste!
I just want to take a second to appreciate all the hard work you put into your channel. Working back-to-back on projects and spending hours editing content is challenging work. I think I speak for many when I say that we deeply appreciate the content you give us each week. Even if you have to take a week off from projects, I'd be willing to wait. I love how the space turned out and am excited to see what future projects you create.
👏👏👏👏👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Totally agree
I completely agree, but on top of that he’s giving us ORIGINAL content every single time. It’s never what’s exactly trendy, but really authentic and elevated looks with accessible DIY sprinkled in. He keeps us plebeians feeling like we can be a part of the higher level interior design world. I couldn’t give him enough flowers for what he does ❤
DREW....This is one of my favorite spaces so far. Love watching your growth as a designer. Thanks for all!
Thank You so much!!
CANNOT WAIT for the master bedroom & bathroom makeover. They are going to be epic!
I love the functionality of this nook. I especially love the fact that it keeps the office out of the bedroom. Thank you Drew!
I agree that the ceiling wallpaper was a good switch. That grasscloth look is perfect. The space looks warm and inviting for your new work space.
I agree - such a lucky accident. Or maybe the gods were watching and said, "Nope. But we'll humor you for a moment with the cranes!" and then had you order too little. Haha! The faux grass cloth is perfect! It gives the weird and wonderful illusion of being translucent and dimly lit from above so there's a soft glow. Maybe it's just the camera. Or maybe it's just the way the light bounced off it. Or it's just my fanciful brain. 😂
Yes, I totally agree! 😊
Yes, I totally agree! 😊
Yes, it’s got a Frank Lloyd Wright vibe now.
Something about when you show your rooms when your finished brings me so much peace. I hope that’s how your home feels.
I can't believe such a tiny space could be so cute!!!! I love it!
All the artwork is great but the sailor painting is a real gem. So glad that you continue to showcase vintage art finds. The space looks great!
So glad you created an office you will enjoy working in. It's so 1960's home office.
Looks wonderful! And you definitely picked the right fabric for the curtains! It continues the color from the rug and lamp and adds masculine warmth 🥰
Drew, since you bought this home and began to makeover all the spaces, you’ve become my favorite designer, over and above all others!! Your talent has grown and expanded so much, and I’m usually speechless when I first watch one of your makeovers. It takes a second watching before I can verbalize a comment. I hope your bathroom will be next!!
Drew, your wee office looks delightfully cozy! I'm so glad you changed the wallpaper for the ceiling. The birds were too busy, IMHO, but the more neutral paper gives a bit of brightness without distraction, blending in perfectly with the wood and the fabric in the space. Lovely! ♥
I know you didn't want a door on the bathroom; however, I personally would hang a curtain there. Even when your bathroom makeover is done, why would you want to see into the bathroom? You could use a translucent, neutral fabric so it lets in the light while giving privacy. Just a suggestion. 😊
I had the same thoughts about the bathroom.
@@alyona_fateeva 👍
The birds are so Drew.
I agree. I have OCD and the idea of the bathroom opened like that makes me uncomfortable
Another option might be to make the bathroom look like a grand entrance to something magical you can see from the office and bedroom view. Like a grand foyer to the bathroom. on the inside, perhaps a frosted privacy barn door only visible inside the bathroom that can be closed when necessary... I've heard it said it's not how big the room is, but how far your eyes can see, so guessing that's the appeal of leaving it open for Drew!
I was concerned that the space would be too dark with all the wood, but it seems to be lighter than I expected. A cozy nook just for you to edit and create, just perfect! ♥️
Absolutely remarkable, Drew! I love every inch of this space! The multiple colors of wood, your use of textures, and your amazing vintage art and decor…stunning!
Drew, I can hardly believe you were able to edit this and get it online within 3 1/2 hours! So glad you did because it’s my joy on Sunday afternoons.
I love this little space… But I’d give anything for that desk lamp! It’s my all-time favorite piece!
When you first said wood paneling, I wasn’t sure, but I know how incredible you are and I trusted the process and honestly it looks so good! It feels like home. So warm and inviting!!! Loved every choice you made!!!!
The office space is beautiful. If you ever get tired of using the space as an office, it will make a perfect gentleman's dressing accessory area. I can see you using it for shoe shining, jewelry storage, ties, cuff links, sun glasses, etc.
THIS!
Jaw dropping, Drew. These labours of love prove how resourceful and creative you are!❤❤❤
I love the way you have plenty of work space on your desk, and yet have needed items at your fingertips along with beautiful items to enjoy. I love it. And it's so warm and cozy. Excellent job, dear. Just wonderful.
Sundays are just not right without a Lone Fox video. Thank you Drew!
Your attention to detail is unmatched and it always pays off beyond what i even expect 🤯 you reveal the specific details most people wouldnt think of that separates "normal nice room" from "beautiful art installation photo in a magazine"
I ❤❤❤ the cafe curtain, wood paneling,& green chair!! U take small inconspicuous space, most people would overlook , & turn the into works of art!!
I like how you put your own, unique personality into your place. It's what makes a house a home.
Drew, I am so proud of you. Your carpentry skills have developed so much. This little office makes such a massive statement. Great job!🌺❤️😀
Your vision is just unmatched Drew. You're doing exactly what you're meant to be doing, I'm blown away every time! Gorgeous.
WOW, what a transformation! It looks incredible but I am not the least bit surprised as everything you touch turns to gold! You truly are an amazing, talented, and inspiring young man. I just love watching you shine.
You had guts to take out all that storage! Haha- I am always looking for closed storage. So, at first I thought it was a mistake. But as I watched you transform it into your beautiful office, I was a converted fan! I love the way you put up all the wood around the entire space. The only thing I would change- is buy more of the Blue background bird wall paper and hang it on the ceiling! It was such a pop and BEAUTIFUL ! You aren’t a DIY guy anymore Drew, you’re a freaking craftsman. Along with all your other titles such as, interior decorator, content creator, DIY queen, etc. You truly know what you are doing and have become so confident in your skills over the past couple of years. It has sure been a pleasure to watch you transform yourself, not just your spaces. Great job with this space. It is Amazing. I look forward to all the content you will create in that new space of yours. Good Luck! We’ll be here for it.
I did for a second think the blue backdrop bird wallpaper would be a zinger and that Drew would pick it BUT we're not the PRO he is !!!😉
It would be so cool to add arched saloon doors for the bathroom to mirror the arched entry!! Love the entire space -- it is gorgeous.
When I saw all the wood, I was like, um no, but then I was reminded to always, always wait to see the finish. Oh my gosh, my favorite bit is the little shelf/drawers area with the curtain... such a moment 😍
I LOVE how happy the room makes you! An awesome use of space and so awesome that you are loving your home so much!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Yay! Sundays with Drew ❤️💜❤️
Love catching with my fave UA-camrs on Sundays!
For me, Monday with Drew
Thanks Drew! Your videos trained my eye when it comes to interiors and details in every space I go to. It’s coming in handy now since I will helping my parents renovate the house. Great work as always! Stay smiley, stay creative and keep giving us more 🙏🏻
Seriously, since I've started watching Drew and Macenna the look of my home has improved so much! I'm a visual person and I'm doing something creative/design related for a job but it's still different to design a whole 3D space. Especially their use of warm, moody colors and vintage items inspired me so much. I've already had some vintage furniture and roadside pickup stuff but now I've barely bought anything new for the last three years or so.
Thanks Drew for always being you . A natural if you ask me. Have a blessed rest of the week.
Love this, Drew. The paneling; the chandelier; that curtain (colour/texture); the style/colour of your desk lamp & those finishing touches, like the reddish colour of the leaves of your plant. This is one gorgeous space; you must love working here. Not many have jobs they love & the joy you derive from what you do is palpable. You're living 'your' life the way you're meant to live it & I wish you continued success.
Love love love the fabric you chose for the little cubby below. Happy you made it full as well. I have been a seamstress for agessssss and I hate to see the fullness skimpy on the underskirts as you have made. Color is perfect for the room.......glad you could hide the rod and glad you didn't put the fabric on rings. It's looks genuinely right for the period of time of the office. You aced it all! The chandelier is perfect.........loving that as well. Actually there isn't anything that I don't like. Your eye is so talented as just "seeing" things that lots of us may not see. Brillant room/nook! Enjoy and embrace the creativity of your eye/talent!
Blessings
I love the fact that Drew did Marie’s space b4 his own. Such a good heart.
God!.....He can turn anything into anything!
Beautiful!
I hope all that wood settles in nicely. It expands with moisture so I'm wondering how it'll be after half a year
Your aesthetic is so. gorgeous- warm, inviting, cozy, and sophisticated all at once. It's so fun waiting you redo a space
Sigh...I just adore you Drew. Your Momma must be so proud XOXO
Looks fantastic, Drew. I was really thinking, "Oh no, not a curtain it'll cheapen how the room looks", but it softens all the wood and makes sense with it going into the bedroom. Fabulously done!
Putting an office in a closet using vertical is so different and a great idea. I am not one for chandeliers but that one goes perfect for that space. I love the open concept and the curtain and rug is perfect. I always like flooring on the wall because flooring is easier to clean. Good work.
The touches of burgundy against the wood paneling really make the room: the desk lamp, the rug, and, yes! the fabric skirt that I wasn't at all sure of at first!
This space is lovely and the wallpaper that you chose for the ceiling actually looks fabulous. Well done.
The tone of the woods really came together. As a girl, I would have loved to use that desk as a vanity area. The sailor was cute! all the decor felt personal and aesthetic
It looks so lovely! You always manage to combine items I'm not to sure about and make it look so cohesive! Stunning!
The only thing I would change, is add some of the door trim to the front of the shelves above the desk. That way you still have a cute detail on the shelves, but one that looks a bit more deliberate and ties in with the other trim. But that's such a minor change. All in all, absolutely love it!
It's gorgeous Drew, it came together so well. It went from a boring white space into this lovely warm room with so much character and personality and all the little details really elevated it. Love the fabric for the curtain, so pretty. . Great job.
Well done! This turned out so well and the entire project is a size that can inspire anyone. It's not overwhelming but is still a total makeover that makes the space really work and look beautiful at the same time. . ❤
Watched every second of both these videos and still GASPED out loud at the reveal. LOVE this makeover of such a highly functional small space. I couldn't love you and your work more
Beautiful makeover! Love the little cafe curtain and all the oak panels. Enjoy your new office!
This is absolutely gorgeous! It gives the feels of being enveloped in a cozy blanket. Your designs just get better and better!! Bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰
Serendipity with the wallpaper! It looks so much better and feels so much more inkeeping with the rest of the space, the birds felt very nursery/ oriental and just didnt have the same simplistic sophistication as the other elements
Love this space! Another winning design!❤
You’ve dressed this space to look super cute and cosy 👌
Well done guys!
Drew, you are a force of nature who just keeps getting better and better.
I love the tiny office, so cosy and chic at the same time. 🤗
My only caveat is the bathroom view.
A semi sheer light curtain in a neutral colour that blends with the office would blur the bathroom view until you finish that room too, Drew.
A nice tension rod to hold it means there'd be no damage to the new door frame if any other option is your final choice for the opening.
Even saloon doors with gaps at top and bottom would look good as well. 😊 Otherwise it's purrfect. 😻
Edited to add, it tells me there are 3 replies but I can't see them. 🤷 And, "purrfect" was a typo so I went with it. 😉 Meow.
I love that you added the wood paneling, it’s so beautiful! Can’t wait to see you makeover your room!
Drew. I'm very impressed. Silly question. Do you have to seal the wood so it won't absorb moisture from the bathroom? Maybe a clear something? Or maybe everything is fine?
Beautiful cozy little space with so much character. I was secretly pleased when you didn’t have enough of the stork paper 🤗, the faux reed grass is SO much more in keeping and looks way more expensive and interesting.
This looks great! I think you can have two offices, this one can be your personal one and the other one can be used for clients and etc.!
The space looks great! Love the ambience, beautiful decor.
Will you show us the outlets and switches when you get them done? I am so curious about that last detail.
Fantabulous Drew!!!❤❤❤ I said to. My husband.. Is there anything Drew doesn’t know how to do!! You’re amazing..a joy and so very talented!!!❤❤❤
I love the new office space. I actually prefer the grass cloth paper on the ceiling. It plays nicely with your window treatment and shelf skirting. Well done!
Omg - I love your home! So excited to see the study space finished. Love from your Aussie fan🇦🇺🤎🤎
I love the light fixture!
An idea for a bathroom "door" would be like a super lux heavy velvet curtain(maybe deep burgundy or wine) with a beautiful tieback(perhaps in a deep gold with a tassel).
I can't really explain why but this was my favourite video to watch from you. It felt very genuine and I could see all the hard work you were putting in it whilst also working on all your other tasks. Just super nice to watch and connect and of course, super beautiful end result and inspiration…
Gorgeous results! It looks warm, cosy and masculine. :) PS: The painting of the sailor is chef''s kiss!
I really love how you added the ash gray over the mission oak stain; it actually does look like the fumed oak of authentic mission oak furniture.
It looks so warm, cozy, and comforting in there. I wouldn’t get any work done in there because I’d fall asleep. 😄
Not only do I love what you do for the creativity and inspirations, but your videos give me a respite from the world lol! Calm, beautiful, creative and authentic- and you make things feel within reach! Big hearts! xoxox
Gorgeous, Drew - you have such excellent taste. The only thing I think is off a bit is the curtain - somehow it seems not to go with such meticulous work....
I love your little hideaway office. It’s very warm and human, and I admire your ability to visualise something so unusual but perfect for you.
Well, I almost don’t know what to express. Another cozy, warm, inventive and unique space. I would love to work in that enveloping small but efficient space. I don’t know how you come up with so many ideas…I’m sure it is a gift from God. We all have some gifts and I know that no is more special than the next person to God but I sure like the personality he gave you. I enjoyed this video, thanks so much for making it.🥰
When you chose the red fabric for the curtain I was wrinkling my nose and saying, "No, no, no." Then you put in the red rug and the red lamp and I was going, "It looks so good"!
Also, your woodworking skills are getting to be quite wonderful. Thanks for another good video and I hope you enjoy your perfect little office.
This is one of my most favorite spaces you've ever done I really enjoyed this video
The read tone in the light fixture goes so nicely with the curtains and then when you showed the rug that was perfect because it's got green tones in it to match your chair and red tones in it for the curtain.
Plus I swear all those little red details bring out the red tones in the wood.
Using that gray toner to tone down the stain was a really great tip I really appreciate that one!
I'm glad that you were lazy and didn't want to miter the shelves because the texture on the end came out really nice!
I actually like the second wallpaper it looks really nice.
It's so true you have to live in a space and let it show you what it's going to be.
That silver box that you decorated with is a cigarette box. People would put cigarettes in there and then when somebody came to visit or you're going to smoke you would just pull one out it was more civilized I guess than a pack of cigarettes lol
I don’t know how this man does it. Every space is a banger
This is so beautiful!!! You’re so talented! The only things I think I would change/add is instead of that wallpaper on the ceiling I’d put a wallpaper that has some sort of green to match the chair and keep your eyes moving up, since it’s a smaller space and to add visual interest. Another more practical thing is maybe adding those light strips or spotlight lights underneath the shelves for more brightness!
It’s beautiful Drew. I love wallpaper ceilings. Me being a girl, I loved the birds. I would match the color with the chair or the fabric. It is stunning as always. Love you Drew and Justin ❤❤❤❤
As an experienced seamstress I would highly recommend removing the selvage from your fabric. It is woven tighter and will pucker. Love that you chose the red, gives that smoking jacket/ascott feel. So happy you kept the built ins! Can I live in your office?!
Drew, beautiful fabric choice! next time you do a curtain like that, try making the hem 2-3 inches. The extra deep hem looks very polished and it adds weight so adds to the drape.
you made it so much more functional, like its an office for u but the next owner that is such a nice vanity area
This kind of reminds me of the horror movie room back in your old apartment!! ❤
Less is more in a small space. It turned out really nice if not a little cluttered. Excellent job on the woodwork!!
Congrats, Drew, you've done it again! I also want to thank you for broadening my outlook, and showing me so many things that I'd never considered before.
I feel like the ceiling wallpaper should be one that matches the red of the curtain being used
You’re a genius. I could not see your vision when you proposed putting those oak floor strips everywhere. It turned out beautiful and warm. Glad you went with the wallpaper on the ceiling and love the chandelier!
It looks amazing! Stunning as usual ❤ But remember to seal the wood floors, and you should probably find a water sealer/water/heat/steam protector for all the gorgeous wood on the walls 💗
This space is like a WARM, inviting HUG!
This is my favorite space in your house. I've been taking more risks in my new house (though on a smaller budget) because you demonstrate so well how a few days effort really pays off.
This is SO impressive. It’s especially inspiring as a smaller space. You are a genius fr. Thanks for all the great content.
You are the Midas of renovation and decorating..congrats Drew
Reminds me of a little compartment (cabin) in an old sailing ship with the sailor painting and everything. Very cozy 😊
Make your old office into a book/nook/ library.. make it super cozy 😊
That chandelier is absolutely enchanting. You could sell art prints of it.
I love the transformation! You made an otherwise useless space for you into something practical and beautiful!
this might be my most favorite makeover ever drew!!! you literally never cease to amazing me. I have sooo many thoughts.
1. send me the addy - I'm omw! 😂
2. I loveee how this could be a vanity space normally - it's beautiful and doesn't hinder resell value at all
3. I thought the original built-ins were so ugly when you decided to leave them be, but why do they look so amazing in the reveal?! you just know.
4. lol I know you just shoved all your bedroom stuff to the side and made your bed. relatable 😂
5. I wish I could have heard what you were saying about all the styling pieces!!! I love to know the history. they're all beautiful
6. every detail is just perfect. the textured edges of the shelves look so intentional and the rug and everything look so good! I love it
