Marco is one of my great friends who moved from Orange County to Los Angeles recently. His new apartment had so much character and I knew it would be the perfect space to transform. I had a completely blank canvas to work with and was able bring out the Parisian accents with furniture pieces and a few DIYs. How do you think it turned out? Comment below!

I'm a decorator too and your eye for scale, proportion and color is 10 out of 10. SO many folks make the mistake of not hanging curtain rods at the correct height or width, but you nailed it! The neutral colors are so soothing with pops of color in your accessories. PLUS, your personal time and effort that went into the diptych artwork is heartwarming. What an extra special gift! I live in an apt that doesn’t have pretty windows. They are just plain inset frames with mini blinds set inside the box window frame. Would I still hang Curtains up high like that? I think my windows are ugly exposed like that.
Do a tiny living room or bedroom that doesn't have great bones or great windows. Id love to see what you can do with an average persons smaller living area who doesn't always have these great architectural features necessarily

Not gonna lie I wasn’t sure about the art, but when you framed it, I was like okay Drew I get it. You never fail to KILL it! I love your channel!
Not so fan myself …this black no fit in there, automn color, orange must be better for me to bring peachy light on those neutral colors. But it’s just my opinion:.
yea.... the Art work...................ummm not really feeling it. Over all very nice!
I didn’t mind the black because it brought in the lounge…I just think the execution was a little amateur, but he is an amateur.
A tip for next time I would use one colour then tape up a section, paint, remove tape and then retake for next section to if you’re using straight lines for colour blocking…
In saying all of that, in the end it still worked and I think his artist friend loved it.

Yo this actually looks classy. One thing I really appreciate about your style, Drew, is that your looks are gender neutral and pretty at the same time. There are a lot of female interior design youtubers and I'm tired of pom poms and pink. But I also don't need super masculine/outdoorsy either.

with his beautiful hands painting - my trick to framing pieces with a mat that doesnt fit is to 1) have Michaels cut me a mat to size, or 2) fix the painting on top of the mat instead of under.

This is probably my most favorite makeover you've ever done. You kill it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. BUT THIS??!! Truly amazing. One of my go-to channels when it comes to interior decorating!

I bought the pebble sofa for my apartment because of this video!!! I’ve been looking for a modern deep sofa to lounge in! I needed something to contrast with a deep red leather tufted loveseat and chair I have. And I will just say that the simple modern style of the pebble sofa really pulls everything together!!! It arrived today and is just the right firmness! After months of going to every furniture store in town, and being skeptical of online furniture shopping this video really was a lifesaver! So thank you!!!!

I love how he grabbed your arm and immediately went to the chairs which you said caught your eye as exactly something he would like. It really shows how much care you put into this, how much he liked it, and how good friends you are!
If the dining table only has 4 chairs you could bring the bench in from the living room and have it on one side as two seats. Then you can seat 6 people
Your makeovers are such a gift. People really need a comfortable and comforting space. I like that you choose dining chairs that look comfortable. I see a lot of dining chairs that make me think that the people do not want company to stay very long. Good job!
The tape trick to hang the mirror is GENIUS! I'm forever using this now when I'm hanging things.

@@karinlouwturnley5926 For items that have keyhole hangers or anything hung from two points...place tape on back and mark hanging points. Then you place the tape on the wall and put your hangers at those marks. No fuss and no extra holes in the walls🤣

During the reveal I would have liked to hear more from the resident reaction. I felt like that whole time was spent on the designer rehashing what he'd explained during the set-up and then telling the resident how to feel about it.

I've suggested this before but you probably didn't see my comment, but I would love to see a kid-friendly apartment makeover. For example the bench would not work with a small toddler that wants to touch anything they can! 😅 And I would love to see how you would style a place that has to be kid-friendly. I think you're always so good at taking into account the person your styling for's lifestyle and I think this would be a challenge! 💪
