- Today it is some younger bases though their is a lot of oddness going on in more than a few of them. I'm not going to sumarise as I have to pack my bag so I can go on holidays, I really need to work on my time managment.

That whole base had me rolling. I feel like his printing pod was spawned directly inside an active volcano. (Sarcasm, obviously. Still.) That's a lot of heat. Bravo.
I'm glad you found my cooling loop ludicrous and amusing. It was surprisingly so powerful that it even seems to have a significant effect your computer's performance, but it was worth it.
I kept my new refinery and conveyor loaders for food accessible so that new dupes could use it since they couldn’t leave the main base. Also, the battery box cools the iron shipped from the volcano before it’s made into steel. Yes, I didn’t mine the last of the fossil; I may or may not have forgotten about it.

7:37 that petroleum airlock was originally a molten lead airlock but it solidified as the temps dropped. the big vacuum room got broken many times by pretty much every gas in the main which is why there are gas pumps all over the place. the boiled petroleum was just to make airlocks. at 8:30 that small POI room was originally separated from the rest of the "ice" biome so I had to do some diagonal digging to connect it back. the carbon skimmers are there because of one of the many gas leaks that happened over time. seed is 47306 on volcanea.
I thought it's modded too. Are all volcanea maps get bigger magma biom?

@@karpa.183 Interesting, usually both traits add hot bioms everywhere instead of lower half.
As an Aussie, I can say pretty honestly that no one has ever used the term hoop snake. Ever. So bears on the other hand. No one fucks with a drop bear.
The girls were of course warned about drop bears as well. I heard about hoop snakes in Tambo, queensland.
@@FrancisJohnYT hahahah Tambo, jeeze, I spent a bit of time in charleville which ain't far from there....everything gets a bit weird when you're that far from the ocean. You never know what the locals are on!

after re-watching this, i have to say that pips are the second worst way to support sage hatches. feeding them slime from pufts, or polluted dirt from distillers is way better.
Agreed, the distilleries are a far better use of the wood. But the magic of ONI is that it does not matter if it's not the best way, all that matters is that it works well enough for you.

Thank you for another Base Lovin episode! Off topic: I’m trying to figure out a solution to my petroleum production on my map “with NO magma volcanoes”. I do have a gold metal volcano to play with. How would a counter flow system work with the heat of a metal volcano?
In theory an Iron volcano could do it, in practice no one has figures out how to do it at 10kg/s. Best bet is do space, get space metal and use an aquatuner as a heat source.
i have no Magma volcano i my base and i use the Magma from the map. 10kg/s is possible
Map magma may be my only option as I started on Verdante (no frozen biome = no wolframite) and I do not have Tungsten available to in space so no way to get Thermium.
@@butzfam0 You can use Niobioum an aquatner made of that overheats at 625C. Geothermal can also work great. Just depends which is easier for you to do,

Sir John, thought I nailed it all until I went to actually finish the game and figured my petrol rocket ain't going to be enough to fly to the final "planet". Watched some of your videos where you state that petrol is enough to finish the game. Did they change it? Not even ONI Rocket Calculator is able to do it :( welp, thanks
That old video was back before more planets and distances were introduced. You need liquid hyrogen to finish the game now.

I dont know for how much have you played this game for but i am almost certain you have never seen worst volcano spawn than mine
I had to check the whole map from space to magma level and found every other gayser but the volcano which decided to be about 6 tiles above magma in the bottom right corner
How do i even make a petrolium boiler with that

I'v seen someone use a door pump to move the magma. Also people have used pitcher pumps to move the magma. Their is crazy stuff you can do with the magma biome.
