For those who are wondering... It's probably Unreal Engine 5 with ultra-high-resolution textures running on an ultra-high-resolution MicroLED screen pushed by a PC with one or a few “QUADRO” GPUs. Nothing out of this world in terms of technology and it baffles me that most high end manufacturers don't use something similar for their major customers. Most use UE5 as their configurator, but all I saw so far was big TV + PC, low res, low performance, in a not-so-cozy or sophisticated room.
3:44 my favorite DBX interior was that some of the early show cars (the one that came though the dealer here in Seattle) had tweed inserts. Not something I would think to spec on a car, but it worked so well on it.
AM reaally stepped up their game, also with F1 team as well, would be really cool to see the underlying tech behind the configurator, it has to push massive amount of pixels and looks like real time ray tracing

The magnetic external trickle charger is one of those solutions that I find it hard to believe that other super car manufacturers haven’t been doing all along. You see so many videos where Ferrari and Lamborghini owners have the hood or trunk cracked open with the wire for the trickle charger coming out. I imagine this external approach will become the industry standard overnight.
The secret room at the KIA dealership is my fav, total custom everything and they give you tap water and old Halloween candy while you pick your set up
Should I ever buy an aston then for sure it will be because of james. I mean how he delivers the brand and their insites is quit astonishing and gives you a haul other appreciation for the work and effort they put into the brand. Aston is really becoming an unexpected new favorite car manufacturer with amazing customer service. Good work!
Thank you James for the insides. Very impressiv for an Aston Martin fan like me. Although a completely different car, but it is also a piece of English automotive history. @@rahulsudhir666 All depends on the display you're presenting on. Typically, we'd offer a mid-level 40 series system for most clients, we do architectural builds most and they require a lot of horsepower, but with DLSS and other great tech, you can get away with 4070/4080 GPU. All in, probably around 2-3K a PC. I can imagine Aston spent a good amount and probably running A6000 or 4090's in that system.
@@j99bgr Aah ok. So let's say an independent dealership requires something where you can simulate factory options, what would that roughly cost? Cos this particular service that James is showing is limited to the VIP clientele only. I remember Salomondrin covering the Aston Martin VIP vault in California a few years ago. The extra options r truly insane
These interior changes are something i’ve been waiting for yrs finally the interior matches the outside of the cars and has caught up with other brands (maybe better haven’t used the new aston infotainment yet)
JWW Uncut Awesome I think Aston Martins Spec room is absolutely incredible and I think it's absolutey incredible that Aston Martin created badges that are so thin and lightweight for the Valkyries and Valkyrie AMR Pros
6:18 I bought the mag connector for my trickle charger to put on my 2011 Vantage. My problem is that I don't know where to mount it. Aston Installations puts it above the license plate like this DBX. The problem is that in the US, our license plate area is narrower and almost entirely taken up by license plate lights and my backup camera. I know someone that has used the underside of the license plate plinth up front, but we also don't have that same bumper mounted plinth.

All these AM fans and all of them are in denial about this car being designed by Redbull and Adrian Newey for production through Aston Martin as per contract agreement that Adrian could not design a race car for a rival and a rival could not use Newey's designs for their race cars. They could collaborate for a street car.
Sorry that configurator is missing something:). I wanted it to show you sat inside the car to see what you look like lol. Have a word James. You don’t buy a jacket without trying it on and look at yourself in the mirror. 👀👍

Its an odd thing How is it Lexus make a much more reliable car then Aston Martin I went for a test drive in DB12 and the window blinds on the front window kept falling down THe Lexus LC500 just dosent have the issues Aston has and they give a 10 year warranty as clarkson says if it is had made it brakes
You know society sucks when super car or exotic car lines all have fucking suvs and four doors. Lets pack our kids in and pretend we love the outdoors and take the kids to a place where someone can watch them while we do rich people stuff. My does 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. So does mine with me, my trophy wife, and our 2 lab grown children in car seats with our nanny in it.
"Obsessive attention to detail". Aston Martins really are pieces of automotive art. Wonderful to see.
It's what I expect from Redbull and Adrian Newey

This is so nerdy! I LOVE IT!
I've always been on the fence about Aston over the years but videos like this are great for individuals like myself that are currently looking.
That configurator is so special, you can climb in the car. Love the uncut James thank you sir.
Thanks buddy! 😎🏁

@@JWWUncut I don't think I've ever seen it in a configurator or since. But I'd do it. Not sure it suits the 707 as much.

I mean, the Aston Martin Valkyrie is a collaboration with redbull for Adrian Newey to design a car. Max did the road testing.

As someone that builds those configurators for a living, this is mega cool and the developers did such a good job on it.
Just outta curiosity, what does a fairly basic setup cost? Like if you were to build one for a small company n not something big like Aston.

"Beautiful Is Absolute" - Aston Martin.
OMG how the other half live!, very special!
They need to put you on payroll!!
I wish 😂
Too bad the depreciation causes anyone to consider an Aston to steer away. Truly are beautiful cars! Wish they held their value!
Love
Skyfall Silver is my favourite colour

Next time can we please NOT forget the Ventilan for the asthmatic cameramen???

I wish the DBX 707 was 1/3 the price. Gorgeous car.
Depreciation will work it's magic
How many Valkyrie, Aston Martin badges will you need to stack on top of one another to reach the normal thickness of an Aston Martin badge
Magnetic charger... genius!
Any information on the Valhalla?
What a great place
Thank you 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Glad you enjoyed it👍🏻
Excellent I bet that charger is a nice easy way into the cars systems for theft. 😂
either it is my headphones or just me, but i think i hear the cameraman periodically seething behind the camera
Lawrence Stroll has invested an insane amount of money into Aston Martin

They don’t learn because they have put an AMG steering wheel
