First: Jason, keep doing what you do, man. You've become my favorite auto journalism presenter. Second: my god if that Maserati isn't just plain gorgeous. Whew...
The drag race is one thing, but the editing??? Absolutely love it. Of course i knew Porsche would win due to its INSANE acceleration, but over a longer distance the DBX would pass the Porsche thanks to the extra horsepower. Lovely stuff on this channel!!
I'm telling you the Cayenne is probably closer to 700HP itself, they just won't say it because of the hierarchy at VW, with Lamborghini supposedly the top dog, but the Cayenne even whips that. The DBX isn't catching the Cayenne.
The MC20 is made with double wishbones in the front and rear, which makes it better in the corners than a high specced 911. It's designed not to go in straight lines. The fact that it's also putting in great quarter mile times makes it a very scary car.
Seriously. RWD benefits from a grippy surface much more than AWD, and I can absolutely see the MC20 doing 10s stock in the 1/4 on a prepped surface. I would love to throw one of those around a track.
The latest Ferrari, the 296, has just switched to a multi link rear suspension setup, which is what the 911 has had for decades… I adore the MC20, but it won’t see which way a Porsche GT product has gone around pretty much any track
@Greg Mayled , on equal tires, that's simply not true. The MC20 is unfortunately sold with the awful new Bridgestone Potenzas (the same tire that ruined the Huracan STO). Double wishbones front and rear are what F1 uses. The only reason Ferrari and Porsche used a multi-link is the packaging difficulties of a wide-angle V engine (the McLaren Artura had to do the same btw).
@@flyingphoenix113 an MC20 on Cup 2’s would not be faster than any RS of the last 4 years on the same tyre. And the reason Porsche doesn’t run double wishbone on the rear is also because of the geometry and control arm requirements from having the weight bias so far rearward. Ferrari’s of old used to have double wishbone all round, even going back to the 308, manufacturers tend to use what is necessary and what suits the given application

Great show, as always. It would've loved to see the Model X Plaid compete too, Aston Martin had a hissy fit when they first debuted the 707 as the fastest, but it couldn't beat the Tesla. Keep these videos coming, they are so awesome.
@@Amarjit_Singh initially they said most powerful, then they started adding asterisks to that statement because of the Model X Plaid and Durango Hellcat. But, not much can be said when you have an SUV weighing 2.5 tons doing sub 10 second 1/4 mile runs. No one is gonna care if you can possibly hit 193mph.
@@JasonB72481 Firstly, AM mentioned the DBX707 as the most powerful luxury SUV when it was launched, you missed the word luxury and Tesla being a luxury brand has some debate. Secondly, whether or not a top speed of 193mph is useful, it doesn't take away from the fact that it's the fastest SUV, just like the X Plaid doing a sub 10s 1/4mile is a fact. Finally, most people buying these SUV's are not going to race with these. So, in a nutshell, the sub 10s 1/4mile is just as useless as the 193mph top speed.
@@Amarjit_Singh Actually, there have been a lot of Tesla Model X Plaids being taken to the drag strip, so people do race them; and traffic light shootouts are a thing. I didn't miss the word luxury, because they clarified with that word, and regardless if it's up for debate; Tesla is a luxury brand. Also, so what if it's an EV. Just like the 707 has twin turbos, is it a valid complaint if other automakers complain about the turbos, the advanced clutch system, the carbon ceramic brakes, it's lighter weight? If it's a race, your advantages are what help you win; and if the Model X Plaid was in this race, it would've blown the doors off the 707. @@JasonB72481I don't think that's the only reason people buys Model X Plaid, the dragstrip performance is an added bonus just like the top speed of the DBX 707. The luxury brand debate is still there and there are different opinions but Tesla as a luxury brand, at the same level of an Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley or Rolls Royce, nope. Twin turbos and EV's are completely different, you realise that all the power, 1020hp, is available just from the word go, whereas in an ICE car, you've to rev the engine to reach the peak power band. Also, another big advantage for the Plaid is concerning the power to weight ratio - 0.416 (1020/2450) hp/kg vs 0.315 (707/2245) hp/kg, and that's two big advantages the X Plaid has over the DBX 707. EV's still have a long way to go, the weight is certainly an important factor that needs addressing in order for cars to be dynamic, nimble and fun to drive, also the charging needs to be quicker, currently the time to fill up an ICE car with a full tank of fuel cannot even be compared to the time it takes for an average EV to be fully charged. Your video editing skill is next level 😉👍🏻👍🏻
80 tread wear on a suv is ridiculous. My track day r compound has a higher rating lol. Porsche used it to set record but which soccer mom daily a set of r compound
Thanks Jason and Randy for a fun review!
The production for your videos is out of this world
Not an American so unfamiliar with the Rivian. Did the designer pull things together in a completely dark room? It's like the family truckster from National Lampoon's Vacation. That aside, the quality of editing, the content and the line-ups on this channel are second to none!
I saw a blue one in real life and it did not look bad. A BMW iX is not much prettier.
@@tamasszabo8824 The BMW iX looks far worse let's be honest.
Rivian will never survive in the long run that company is a ticking time bomb.
I'm curious to see the rivian on sport tires and with a higher speed limit. I know it's meant for off road but It'd be interesting to see how'd it perform.
The text.. The production.. Love this channel! Spiritual successor to TG.
The sound of those petrol engines sound amazing 😍😍😍.
"Motor's in the wrong dang place." OMG I lost it.
I actually thought the Rivian would win but hey, pleasently surprised :)
Nice front bumper fit on the Aston. Symmetrical and without gaps.
honestly, i wouldn't watch if it wasn't for the amazing editing and blending of scenes. amazing work.
Loving these as always. Thank you to Jason, Randy, and the team!
Looked like the porsche had the MC by a bumper
I saw the same. MC would have taken the GT in a half mile easily but the porsche won that race.
I wish these work 20 or 30 minutes longer it sucks that they're so short
If you want longer stuff I think his Revelations videos are longer
Most people don't want to watch it that L
Long.
@@imtheonehero9305 most of them do when it's actually good and fun content
No one should be surprised that the Porsche wrecked them all
The editing is the star of the show!
the production quality of these videos is insane, huge props to the editors!!
porsche is a fantastic car brand i love it
