A ugly suit in spiderman suit is the black and gold suit in spiderman 2 and yes thinking back to it, it makes no sense that thats the last suit you unlock while leveling up and NOT the No Way Home final swing suit which only makes the suit even worse

@@Symbiotespiderman215 I for one am not! im actually excited about the direction they could take him going into his college years depressed and potentially meeting black cat. theres no denying that toms movies frequently changed his costume as a way to sell more figures, its literally why they do that sorta thing? I just hope he stays in his final swing suit, its amazing

I agree that the classic red and blue suit is the, or at least one of, the BEST Spidey suits. For me tho, it all depends on the artist. Like for example I LOVE Todd McFarlane's Spider-Man. The way he draws the eyes so big is appealing to me. Makes him look more like anarachnid. My FAVORITE Spidey design is by far Ultimate Spider-Man from the Ultimate comics. It's something about the head, and his frame is so skinny. I just love it!
So you like Mark Bagley's design, eh?
I was torn between that mark bagley design and his 90s one which is very similar, I think he just perfected what Todd started which his redesign!

Also if we're talking live-action suits then my favorite is by far the Stark Suit that Peter gets in Civil War. It feels so classic yet modernized. Also I LOVE that they brought back his classic web wings, and them making an in Canon reason for why he can emote with his eyes was fantastic!

Oh yeah I feel like the civil war is ever so slightly different than the one in homecoming, even with stuff like the colours! He looked so good in that film
Tasm 2 suit is pretty much perfection especially with those eyes, Tom’s final swing suit is on par for me imo it’s just the logos that throw me off
You give the same vibe as a transformers fan that doesn’t like anything but G1. Sure i agree with most your takes, but basing them on how close they look to just regular Spider-Man doesn’t leave much in the way of room for creativity with his alternate suits
I just personally think a Spider-Man suit should at least resemble Spider-Man in the slightest or else what’s the point.
@@mnstash I guess my point is a good artist could make a wildly different suit while still maintaining Spider-Man at its core. Like big time suit or Scarlet Spider. They don’t capture all of Spider-Man’s elements but just enough to be immediately recognizable yet Unique.
After watching the rest of the video I can see I agree with you mostly though. I do like the eye within the eye look on some suits, representing a more fierce and analytical Spider-Man. While also agreeing that the avengers execution of those eyes were terrible
@@mnstash and I agree with your examples of bulky Spider-Man, at the very least Spider-Man doesn’t need padding nor armor, he should essentially always be a skin tight suit wearing dude. Complicating that too much with lines doesn’t help.
Like mcu iron spider is pretty lame imo, he just looks like shiny normal Spider-Man with a ugly spider on his chest, so examples like that I agree with

honestly my taste in Spidey suits has been refined down to two distinct 'types': the menacing red-and-black narrow-lensed Ditko style, preferably with messy webbing, for a more young and angry Spidey, and the brighter red-and-blue wide-lensed Romita style, for a more grown-up and friendly Spidey, which i think is best represented (imo) by the Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit and the final suit from No Way Home.
(i may just be a sucker for glossy materials :P)
those two are peak movie suits man, you can't go wrong with the classics!

Great suits but the Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit was just Sam Raimi's suit redesigned.
Stone Monkey looks like something Web Weaver would wear.
The blue in the palms of marvel's spider-man suit was done because they decided to ignore shadows and an all-red closed fist would've become confusing. Ignoring shadows is probably this shows biggest problem.
Even the avengers game suit does it, it just looks so ugly to me😭but yeah that shows budget was pretty bad

@@mnstash It was. I onlg saw the first season of Marvel's Spider-Man 2017 and it was a chore.
I’ve seen the pilot when it first came out with that annoying “my name is Peter, p as in phosphorous..”
I actually kinda like the threats and menaces suit. I think the lenses were a unique element that made sense since they had cameras in them, and it looking wrong is probably the point because Peter was doing something he would never do due to shear desperation. It's a nice one-off suit for the story it was in and I'd be intrigued if Insomniac put it in the game at some point. It also helps that I'm a sucker for armoured designs.

I’m not gonna lie , the advanced 1.0 suit is my 2nd fav spider man suit ever made . Behind the TASM 2 suit ( GOAT ) . Honorable mentions would be the Classic Ditko Spider man suit 60s or 90s Spidey suit from the show

@@Mrsplifferdoodle Yea the color might be a off but , I think the insomniac Advanced 1.0 suit is the probably the best looking suit that isn’t based off the comics ( 60s suit , 90s suit , any red and blue classic looking suit such as the ultimate spidey suit , spectacular , Tobeys , Andrews , final swing Tom )
I did like it when it first came out but then the 2.0 suit sorta just idk made me not like the first I guess😭 if it was more red I feel like It wouldn’t have been on this list
They should add era specific suits on the game man

For me THE spidy suit is iron spider, followed by the hybrid suit. Tom holland was my first exposure to spiderman I liked more than just a "Yeah it's good I guess" and it shows

- what do you think of the idea of Miles’s suits straying away from the red and black color scheme since Peter‘s alternate costumes are not red and blue ?
- What do you think of the Spider-Man’s orange color scheme in the first 2 Marvel vs Capcom games
- despite you not liking the Avengers Spider-Man suit what do you at least think of the shades of red and blue used in that suit ?
- What do you think of the Tokusatsu suit for Miles ?
as a costume design I liked miles suits when they're red and black, there was something clean about it but I feel like experimenting with him wouldn't be a bad thing for his designs.
I still think they should've gone darker but at the same time it's an arcade machine game, even in one version everyone seemed to be really light in their costumes colour tones. the maximum carnage arcade machine from memory did a good red
I think the red on the avengers suit is what MSM 1 should've had!
for a design thats more out there and themed off something I think it alright, im sure in game it'd look cool and its better than most of Petes original designs in that game!

The Life Story Suit is just the Facility Outfit from the Game Prey
Ah cmon man not the Kumo suit. It was designed by Peach Momoko, a Japanese comic artist blowing up in popularity right now. She did a series of Marvel comics set in a feudal japanese setting. I get it isnt everyones cup of tea but there is context behind the design.
Well at the very least I appreciate the context towards the suit and all the effort in it but unfortunately not for me :/
In my opinion The avengers suit really isnt even that bad i personally think youre exagerating. The kumo suit looks like a praying mantice if it was ran over by a ford f 250 i think thsts the worst one, at least the avengers suit resembles spiderman. If i saw it i would immediately recognize its spiderman so i think that should give it some points but i respect your opinion
well part of me tries to make the video entertaining but me bing 100% I still think its the worst spider-man suit that actually resembles him, if you like it thats cool Tho :) I wish I thought of that for the kumo suit 😭
8:20 the reason im ok with this suit is because otto made it for him, otto doesnt understand spiderman so i thinm thats why its like that, so story wise i think it makes sense, and the 2.0 was peter getting that base inspiration and making more spidermany
No peter still made the suit, otto just gave him some tips and the general idea of what the suit should look like.

It's really baffling that The Sensational suit isn't in Spider-Man 2, you have Ben's 1st and 3rd suit but not his second? That's weird. Not to mention I really miss Peter's 1st ITSV suit from the first game, I wonder why they didn't add it.
Overall SM2 just feels so empty in comparison to the first especially with the suits man

Maybe it’s just me but I don’t hate the avengers suit at all really.
It has nice colors,the lines really aren’t that noticeable unless you are looking for them,the web pattern is nice and I really don’t care about the logos that much same for the eyes.
The only things I don’t like about it are the Belt and no red sleeves connecting the shoulders to the gloves.
That’s fair man personally not for me😅
A few touch-ups would make it a good costume.
I hate whenever the palms are blue, If they fixed that and got rid of the broken up belt then maybe!
I think the Far From Home suit and the Black & Gold Suit are just awful. They’re just recolors of the suit from Civil War & Homecoming, but with a different color for the spandex.
I personally enjoyed the far from home suit, I like the black and red combo especially because it blends into the black additional lines of the homecoming suit! the black and gold suit was just so lazy in the film and the whole purpose was for action figures which sucks
I actually like the advanced suit 1.0, sure the 2.0 version is better but I don't think it makes the 1.0 one bad

Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man suit is my favorite Spider-Man suit of all time. I know it might sound like I’m biased, but it’s because I kinda of am. But can you blame me? The colors are amazing. The blue is so dark it looks black in some shots, but is blue in darker areas. Which is kinda symbolic of the comics in how they shade him. The sliver webbing deserves a lot more respect, as it looks cool and is accurate to spider webs in real life. But yeah, it’s just an amazing suit. Better than the TASM 2 suit. Yea I said it

Okay instead of giving us the sensational or the beyond suits of Ben Reilly from the comics be in the game instead they give us the infamous Scarlet Spider III suit that he briefly wore in the comics for awhile but due to the massive fan backlash from the fans the artists changed it back to the og though I do hoped that both the sensational and beyond suits are in the game through free dlc we're getting this year man pretty much

Exactly all these shitty elements now make every hero look the same and every design so boring. It always looks the worst of Spider-Man and daredevil, I absolutely HATE daredevil’s suit in the show literally the only good part was his mask

I was in Kmart today and they had a bunch of spidey kids books with the new modern spidey designs and I just cringed and felt bad for whoever grows up with this. I’m so thankful I got to grow up with the Scott Johnson Spider-Man merchandise

Eh, the Kumo suit is pretty cool. Pretty sure it’s an eastern sort of Spider-Man design thats from an older period of time. Kumo meaning spider in Japanese.
