I'd honestly say tasm 2 is a tier, mostly because of how dark the red is and how low the logo is

I think the 90s show could've really benefited from black comic shading. So that the shadows could really define his muscles and musculature. That's why I love the classic suits from the Unlimited show and Earth's Mightiest Heroes so much. Comic shading on Spider-Man really just adds sauce to the design.
And you don't have to look much further than the other Marvel tv shows in the 90's. The Fantastic 4 (season two) and the X-Men are perfect examples of dark shading in a cartoon. Even when the X-Men showed up in Spider-Man TAS they looked incomplete because of that
@@T_Moonman Spider-Man Unlimited is easily the best looking superhero cartoon of the 90s. The heavy inking with the vibrant colors just looks incredible.
one thing I really love about Peter B Parker's design is his proportions. He's tall, lanky, but athletic. He doesn't really have the standard jacked superhero bod he's usually portrayed with and I think that's to the design's benefit. Plus the reflective webbing does a great job of grounding the suit.

My favorite classic suit design has to be the Raimi suit. The raised webs, the colors, the sharp menacing lenses, the logos, its all just PEAK SPIDER-MAN. *And this is totally not bias due to my overexposure of the Raimi movies growing up*
I love how the rami suit in the first movie had big lenses and it reminds me of the comics so much

I do like Peter B's suit as well. I was bummed he barely had it in Across the Spider-Verse. Hopefully he'll wear it properly in the next movie.
If we get a part 2, would like to see him cover the suit in the Marvel Vs Capcom art style. Both the sprite used from Marvel Superheroes-Marvel Vs Capcom 2, and the model used for MVC3 where he got buff as hell.

EMH suit is PAINFULY underrated, IS AN AMAZING HOMAGE TO THE CLASSIC CELL-SHADED ART STYLE FROM THE 60'S & 90'S
not surprising is so well crafted since it was designed by the same mastermind who designed the OG Ben 10 Alien designs(Thomas Perkins)
I feel like I’m a unicorn for enjoying the Homecoming suit the most out of all the OG suits - the bolder black lines felt like they bring in the thick lens borders, and I think it’s really well balanced.
People always get up-in-arms about the visible seams/needless detail on the blue but I honestly never really notice them in motion. It’s got great colour balance, the logos are great, and the adjustable lenses feel really accurate to the expressiveness he has in the comics but they work in-universe as well and it’s so clever.
The use of Black brings it ahead of other suits to me, it’s also why I enjoyed the White Spider for the PS4 Spidey so much because it’s cohesive with his lenses.
Bro plz talk about edge of time, I need ppl to glaze that suit so they include It in the new Spider-Man games

Something that I’m surprised not many people talk about is that the “Raimi suit” is technically 2 suits. The suit in Spider-Man 1 is different from 2 and 3. The front and back logo, and the eye shape are different, the blue is darker, and the soles are black instead of red. I know not many people notice because it’s kinda hard to tell the difference at a first glance, but I personally prefer the first suit over the other Rami suits. It looks more classic to me, especially the eyes. The eyes on the first suit were more round, yet still triangle shaped and it worked! 😊

How can you have spectacular Spider-Man and not put him in the spectacular tear that’s criminal?
Spiderman TAS benefits in the costume changing slightly because when the suit gets damaged, Peter would have to make a new one, at times, and it makes sense for it to be different every time he makes a new one, but a logical answer would be maybe because of the different artists working on the show over the years.

The Spider-Man the new animated series suit is my second favorite classic suit design. The best suit is easily the Raimi Spider-Man suit.
I always thought the sparse web pattern on the Spectacular Spider-Man suit was cause Peter didn't want to spend time on a complex design

I freaking love the No Way Home ending suit so damn much, it's as if they pulled it right out of the comics to the big screen.
I can see where he got the lenses for his mask tutorial from, the Shattered Dimensions suit.
The last one is not a meme it's a old 19s show with the iconic theme 🔥, but w video and the internet turned it into a meme.

Edit: I think it’s fair to add the spider man 1 suit since you included the 2 Andrew Garfield suits in this list plus the spider man 1 suit looks different enough to be separate
If you do a part 2, maybe expand slightly out of Peter Parker default suits to classic-adjacent outifts like Sensational Spider-Man, Miles’s Great Responsibility suit, Spinerett, Far From Home, etc . Stuff that very obviously stems from the classic suit as a baseline but is trying to be something other than a take on Peter’s typical red and blues. Maybe stuff like that would add too much additional suits and I do apologize if I’m being unreasonable

I am on the exact same page as you regarding the Ultimate Spider-Man show. Aside from Drake Bell, there was just way too much shield involvement and it didn't feel as classic street level Spidey as Spectacular did.

And i feel like the belt design on the TASM2 suit really weakens it to me ngl, i wish it were pointed
14:25 the more I think about it, the more I realize that whoever inked and colored those early ultimate Spider-Man comics 100 percent sweetened Mark Bagley’s art. Cus even in the later ultimate Spider-Man comics (the ones that Bagley still draws), it just doesn’t hit the same

I might get some hate for this, but I never really saw the hype with the Raimi suit. The raised webbing has always been kind of off-putting to me. My favourite suit probably has the be the current Spiderman suit in the 2024 Ultimate Spiderman run. I think the sharp eyes and spider are fitting for a much older and more aggressive looking Spiderman. (Raimi suit is still a classic though. No denying that.)
