What's important is to have everything in moderation, this includes boredom, you may be constantly be trying to be entertained but it's not working anymore, that's probably a sign that you need to be bored and not over do it.

I recently quit my overnight job. Initially, I enjoyed being able to sleep during dark hours again but then I slowly shifted back to being nocturnal, sleeping off and on from about 8AM to 6PM, then up all night job hunting. I just had a promising interview for a job with an afternoon to evening shift. Adjusting myself back to the hours normal people are up is always hard, like restarting school after summer break (ah, to have summer breaks again...). For example, I'm writing this at 2:30 in the morning.

I recently quit my overnight job. Initially, I enjoyed being able to sleep during dark hours again but then I slowly shifted back to being nocturnal, sleeping off and on from about 8AM to 6PM, then up all night job hunting. I just had a promising interview for a job with an afternoon to evening shift. Adjusting myself back to the hours normal people are up is always hard, like restarting school after summer break (ah, to have summer breaks again...). For example, I'm writing this at 2:30 in the morning.
