Chris doing Prince's "Nothing Compares To You" is a must for shear vocal beauty, a cello, a lead acoustic guitar, his vocal and guitar are the whole setup for that tune.
@Mrs_brittreacts__ unfortunately Telegram only exists on iPhone. You're doing a great job please keep it up.
Prince wrote it, Sinbad covered it, Chris owned it!!!
@@larryg7126 That is a scammer using her name
@@vikhaedan Thanks
Chris was the greatest singer of our generation, keep going on him
He was a incredible talent that was taken way too soon. We miss you. And love you ,Rest in peace Chris.
You just got blessed to hear one of the most beautiful souls to ever walk the earth sing, especially starting with hearing him in a stripped down solo performance!! Lucky you!! I love that you actually paused to say you got lost in his voice. We all did and still do. My first time ever hearing him was in 1990 with his song "HUNGER STRIKE". I was only 19y/o but as soon as the music started to play my attention was immediately taken and then... Chris started singing and I literally lost my breath for a second!! His voice is ethereal and takes you to another place!! LOVE your reaction to this VERY simple performance. You may have just caught the Chris Cornell bug... there's no getting over it! lol!!😜
Chris has a vast catalogue that spans 30 yrs. He was lead singer and songwriter for 3 bands, 1). Soundgarden, 2). Temple of The Dog, 3.) Audioslave and then he has an extensive solo catalog as well, soo buckle up and enjoy the ride... you won't be disappointed!!🙃😊 Peace and light...💞
My vote for your next Chris Cornell experience is "LIKE A STONE" with his band Audioslave, and then go back to his 1990 hit "HUNGER STRIKE" with his one-time collab/album in Temple of The Dog.... official videos for both are a must to get the full effect of Chris's energy, heart and soul!!!
Those 2 songs were released well over a decade apart so they are a good representation of who Chris was as a whole.💯 Oh and a fun fact: Eddie Vedder (lead singer for Pearl Jam) shares lead vocals with Chris on "Hunger Strike". It was Eddie's introduction to the music world... trust me, Chris and Eddie's voices were made to go together!! It will blow you away!!!
🙏Rest in sweet peace Chris!! "No one sings like you anymore"...❤
Him and Eddie Vetter singing hunger strike is extremely powerful 🎉
Yes the two together is so powerful ❤
not to forget about say hallo to heaven from the same album temple of the dog was some of his best work
Chris was the lead singer for Soundgarden and Audioslave. RIP 💔
And Temple of the Dog
@@ssvr3dl1n38 Wow, how the hell did I leave that one out? 😁
Chris Cornell was one of the greatest singers to ever live, RIP. And it is easy to get lost in this magical song by Led Zeppelin. What is rather frustrating though, is when it comes to Led Zeppelin, you basically only listen to live versions, cover versions, or live cover versions, without ever hearing the original studio recording, lol. I can't stress enough how you will have a whole new appreciation for this band if you would simply listen to the original studio recordings of their songs before you started seeking out live or alternate cover versions.
Peace
He is the voice of Gen X. His cover of Prince's "Nothing compares to you" on SeriusXM and his cover of "Billie Jean" live are absolutely incredible. I miss him every day.
The not opening the mouth all the way and “yodel” thing is basically the Seattle grunge style. Chris’s was the lead vocalist for one of the big three 90s grunge bands Soundgarden. Not to mention super group Audio Slave! RIP Chris. Miss him every time I hear him sing. And no it’s not just you getting lost in the song. You have two incredible forces at play here. A Led Zeppelin song and Chris Cornell singing it. Two of the best combined.
His Billie Jean cover is incredible
Yes and Nothing compares to you is beautiful also!!
The acoustic solo version
Check his Nothing compares to you cover
Britt. It’s just Chris’s voice. Emotional connection is something he has that can’t be taught I think he’s the best all around rock vocalist. Look for acoustic performances. You’ll be amazed
Chris Cornell rabbit hole ahead!! One of the best vocal story tellers that passed way too soon. Many bands many songs and always Chris.
RIP Chris Cornell. Incredible vocal talent. Singer for Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave. "Outshined" and "Hunger Strike" and "Show Me How To Live" are great tunes to react to.
You are listening to one of the greatest Voices of all time R.I.P Chris Cornell
He had a beautiful voice and a beautiful soul ... ( July 20, 1964 - May 18, 2017)
Cornell was a baritone, with a vocal range of "nearly" four octaves (from C2 to A5). He had the ability to sing extremely high in the tenor range, as well as in the lower register of a baritone voice.
sad he let the world get to him
Howard had a crush on Chris and he was not afraid to say it😂 Chris moves you like no other. 3 bands and great solo career. On all the lists of best rock vocalists ever. This barely skims his vocal talent or range. He makes reactors speechless all the time. Check out the following for a sample and all r so different. Plus he wrote the songs for all his bands too. Beautiful, deep lyricist.
Soundgarden- Fell on Black Days
Temple of the Dog- hunger strike with Eddie Vedder
Audioslave- like a stone
And my fave live performance of anyone ever, his solo song When I’m Down live at the Troubadour 😊❤
Thanks for doing this reaction Britt! I'm glad you really liked it :) my next suggestion would have to be his song Like A Stone by Audioslave. Another incredible vocal performance and probably his biggest hit besides black hole sun. The music video has a billion views on yt lol
@Mrs_brittreacts__ you're welcome, I enjoy your insightful reactions :) and what's the gift? Lol also what's telegram? You wanted to chat on there?
You know that's a scammer right?
@@BrotherMJ808 oh I see now, it's not the same name haha thanks bud
@@BrotherMJ808 That not nice
Yes “like a stone” is my absolute favorite Chris song!
Now Britt, you have run into my favorite vocalist of all time. I do not think its a mistake that you drifted away listening to him sing. You feel the emotion in every song he sings. His range equals Robert Plants of Led Zeppelin. He covers many songs by other folks that are great. To me his voice sounded good in this particular interview on the Stern show which by the way is recorded very early. He has many great songs that I feel you would love. "Billy Jean" cover, Nothing Compares to you Cover, Audioslaves "Like A Stone", Temple of the dog "Say Hello to Heaven" and there are many more. He was in all those bands and of coarse he was in Soundgarden as well. Love your reaction to this, but he can perform much better if you react to some of those suggestions.
Chris was the lead singer with the 90s grunge band Soundgarden in which spoonman, outshined and black hole sun were outstanding songs He was also a member of temple of the dog with pearl jam's Eddie vedder. Hunger Strike is an absolute classic song of theirs'. He was also the leader singer with Audioslave. Show me how to live, gasoline, set it off, cochise and gasoline were all outstanding songs. But Spoonman Hunger Strike and Show Me How to Live are the three songs you show react to.
@Mrs_brittreacts__ 'Iron Sky by Paolo Nutini is, in my opinion. a modern day masterpiece. 'Before you go' and 'someone you loved' by Lewis Capaldi are both exceptionally good songs. Both artists are Scottish (from Glasgow) despite the Italian names. Finally 'Maggie' by Colin Hay is a beautifully written little song.
His live studio performances of Fell on Black Days and Nearly forgot my broken heart are amazing recordings of him working his voice to the max.
You may wanna check those out.
Chris is the guitarist vocalist and writer for his former band SOUNDGARDEN.
@Mrs_brittreacts__The live versions I’m talking about are SiriusXm sessions.
His best vocals I’ve ever heard…
So much to appreciate. You'll love Nothing Compares 2 U.
You do know Chris. You had reacted to Chris Cornell Black Hole Sun not long ago, and you really liked it.
Chris Cornell was one of the best singers of all time! Beautifull soul. Please react to "Nothing compares 2 u" by him ❤️
Britt, he is one of the greatest singers of that era and he died far too soon. I was lucky enough to see him in the eighties when he was very young with the really loud alternative band soundgarden. He was later in Audioslave and then he has a whole slew of mind-blowingly incredible acoustic stuff before he died, and also a James Bond theme for the movie Casino Royale which is super high production and he just kills it. And my favorite though is not long before he died, he contributed a song to a documentary about the plight of refugees, particularly from Syria into turkey and that part of the world. And so they intersperse him in his studio just playing his acoustic guitar and singing like you saw here, with actual footage from the documentary where his song plays underneath it and it's gut-wrenching but it's also overly really positive in the end and so poignant. And he's just beautiful when he sings it. His cover-up John Lennon's imagine is incredible, and he does several other fantastic covers that he makes his own. And his original stuff is just killer. Check out, you call me a dog. His acoustic version of it live is just so incredible. It might be Audio Only but it is unbelievable.
He was a beautiful soul, and his raw emotion is what pulls you in. The man was a unicorn. Pure talent + charisma, the GOAT. ♥️🔥 Whether solo, or as the lead singer in Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, or Audioslave - all amazing!
A brilliant lyricist, talented multi-instrumentalist, melody king... and of course that incredible voice that could move you like no one else before him, or since. He had a 4+ octave range, with amazing natural technique and a wide range of vocal styles.
You'll love:
-Say Hello to Heaven
-Seasons
-When I'm Down
-Outshined
-Like A Stone
-I Am the Highway
-Show Me How to Live
-Cochise
-Tighter and Tighter
-Rusty Cage
-Like Suicide
-Nothing Compares to You
-Slaves and Bulldozers
... the list goes on and on 🔥
RIP, we lost him too soon. Robert and Chris my favorite vocalist.
Watch his live version of "When I'm Down" by chris. It's amazing. Really showcases how amazing he was.
You actually did a reaction to Chris's accoustic version of Black Hole Sun a while back, but his look was a lot different then.
he has done so many songs with different groups and solo work through the years,... you just need to check out more.
I cant even think where the best place to start would be ..something like " Beyond the Wheel" (live version in Dusseldorf Germany)..... or his live cover of the Beattles , "Ticket to Ride"... which is a mind blower if you listen to the original first.... his Music from Audio Slave... or his Euphoria Mourning album... after looking at all his work... th eeasy take away is he had an amazing voice ..one of the best in rock.... but then it would be easy to overlook his songwriting and ability to come up with musical arangements... He wrote MOST of his songs except a few where there was some help.... he was also a talented all around musician. Guitarist and Drummer.. even the harmonica
Chris Cornell is ine of the top 5 rock singers of all time. He was the lead singerxin Soundgarden and then Audioslave. His later solo acustic work is awesome. He rearranges the songs. Please check out Billie Jean, Nothing Compares to You and Like a Stone.
I wholeheartedly agree with both of those suggestions. I would also throw John Lennon's imagine into that bucket. His live performance of it is incredible and it's the first search result on UA-cam for him doing it.
Chris Cornell is a rock legend. Best vocalist in my opinion but it’s still debatable. RIP GOAT. Love your reactions. Started watching you because of Harry Mack but kept watching because I love watching your cousin’s reactions as well. You found your own so keep it going! You’re an awesome person and I love your energy
Chris has a way of getting you "lost in the sauce" with his vocals. One of rocks greatest vocalist Chris Cornell fronted both Soundgarden and Audioslave as well as Temple of the Dog, a 1 album tribute band, along with Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder.
anything Chris Cornell is worth listening to... he was a master of his craft
His Prince tribute of “Nothing Compares 2 U” is the only one to listen to IMO.
So delighted you covered this. Peace and Love, as always, to you and yours. This song cover is so important to me.
Chris Cornell is probably most known for being the lead singer of Soundgarden. He did a lot of solo stuff and was Lead singer of Audioslave too. He committed suicide just over 6 years ago.
Chris Cornell is my favorite All-Time singer!!!❤❤❤❤ Please react to I Am the Highway by Audioslave, and Zero Chance by SoundGarden..❤❤
All of his acoustics captures my soul
This is so beautiful hearing him sing this song. No you are not the only one who gets lost in his voice.
So happy you're doing this. Please continue with more. In my opinion Chris Cornell was the best vocalist in rock. He was the lead singer for Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave. He also did a lot of solo projects. There is so much music of his you should react too. A lot of his solo stuff is a bluesy rock. Check out Call me a Dog or When I'm Down. He also did some music for movie soundtracks. RIP 💔 you are greatly missed.
Too much Chris Cornell is never enough!
Chris Cornell is in my top 10 among Rock vocalist's along with Robert Plant , He was in Soundgarden among other bands , Huge loss in Music , RIP Brother Chris 🙁

Love how you reactbto the Stern show versions. It's a secret gold mine of awesom performances!
His talent is so incredible love this song awesome reaction by you again like always on your youtube channel your always so awesome on your youtube channel thank you so much for sharing your video with us love it Britt.👍
One of the greatest rock singers of all time, listen to Sunshower of the Great Expectations soundtrack
You need to go down the Chris Cornell rabbit hole. He is at his best doing these acoustic cover songs. His uniqueness makes them his own. Chris tragically took his own life. Such a sad & wasted loss of a unique talent. You are so missed Chris. RIP.
Chris Cornell was the lead singer of Soundgarden. And Audioslave. And (briefly) Temple of the Dog.
He was also often invited onstage, to sing with Linkin Park. (They were besties.)
Who Chris Cornell is:
Lead singer of Soundgarden (his original band, won a grammy), lead singer of Audioslave (my fave, supergroup of RATM + him), awsome solo artist (covers, Bond movie song, etc.) Overdosed and died too soon.😢.
Top 3 GOAT rock voices!
You have to react to his cover of Nothing Compares 2 You!! In studio. Acoustic guitars and a cello. Beautiful. RIP Chris! 🙏
Chris Cornell was one of the founders of the Seattle Grunge sound in the early 90s. One of the defining characteristics of Grunge music was closed mouth, forward placed nasal vocals.
Chris Cornell is amazing, greatest singer ever as far as I am concerned. Liked sound garden, but loved audioslave and Cornell’s solo work
One of the greatest vocalists ever. Grunge era superstar. Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave and plenty of solo and covers to listen to
quite possibly the best rock and roll voice ever,
He was a great singer, genre mostly known for grunge with his bands Soundgarden and Audioslave. He was taken too soon. Please continue reacting to his videos with his band as well..such a great great artist.
Chris was so unbelievable talented, amazing lyricist and his voice was so special too. Unfortunate... gone too soon n his passing will never stop hurting, nobody sings like him anymore.
Besides his bands music his solo stuff at the end was amazing too, love his covers, he made them his own, for example ge took U2's One and used the music of it and mashed it with Metallica's One's lyrics and made it work, i mean... who would've thought of that??!! Musical genius.
Of his covers Nothing compares 2 U might be my favorite
Incredible talented Guy gone to soon 🙏🏼 r.i.p.
Nothing compares to you
Just go down the Chris Cornell rabbit hole. Any of his stuff, solo or his bands. You will not be disappointed. One of the best voices in rock history by far. I don't think anyone sings with more pure raw emotions than Chris did. Gone too soon😢
Omg how have you not done Chris Cornell yet? Any & everything is amazing But when I'm down live at the troubadour is probably my favorite
He covered Billy Jean and it was fantastic
His “nothing compares to u” is amazing
His Billie Jean cover is fantastic ❤
The man was 6 months younger than me and we grew up on Led Zeppelin. Unfortunately, you won’t find this song in the First Led Zeppelin album but on Led Zeppelin II. I bought Led Zeppelin I, II & IV in July of 1979. Best music I’ve ever bought to date!!
Chris Cornell was the front man of numerous bands most notably Sound garden (90s grunge) Temple of the Dog(90s grunge) and audio slave late 90s early 2000s. He was one of the best singers of his generation. Highly recommend the song seasons by him. Sadly Chris Cornell took his own life by a drug overdose about 6 years ago. And as another comment said you should look up his prince cover of nothing compares to you.
emotional song , is voice its magic
Please do more of Chris' music. He's the singer for Audioslave, Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and his solo music. Rolling Stone asked it's readers to rank the Best Lead Singers of All TIme. Chris Cornell was ranked #9.
Thats the beauty of his vocals, can do soft and mellow but then had the ability to crank it up if you listen to Outshined, Rusty Cage, or some Audioslave tracks like Cochise where it just makes you go..Whoa...
😣😣😣 ... the fact that you don't know who Chris Cornell is .. hmmmmm ..well that shows that you have a longgggggggg way to go to understanding Rock & Roll. I like your journey .. but understanding this man's contribution to Rock is a must... more than a must. Rock on Britt .. Rock on ⛓️⛓️⛓️⛓️⛓️🩸🎼🩸⛓️⛓️⛓️⛓️⛓️
Beautifully Perfect ❤️🔥❤️🔥 thank you 🌻🌻yeah, its like your mind drifts away on the wind to a peaceful place, Angelina Jordan has that same talent in her voice
🙏🙏
He’s the greatest rock vocalist in history…it’s a fact. 🙂 his Billie Jean cover is great as well as Nothing compares to you. Like a Stone when he was with Audioslave. Say Hello to Heaven when he was with Temple of the Dog.
Audioslave was my fav Chris Cornell RIP
You have reacted to him before - You reacted to Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden a coule of months ago
The best. My favorite. He passed on my birthday and it will never be the same for the rest of my life 💔
You asked for us to let you know about Chris Cornell..he is an absolute BEAST of a voice. This is him keeping things under control and chained down. He is capable of haunting, soft emotion, but when this guy lets it loose, watch the eff out.
The album "Euphoria Morning" by Chris Cornell is vastly underrated. It's been on my playlist for years.
When Lost in Vegas reacted to Rain When ai Die by Alice In Chains they talked about how their music is so powerful because of how Lane Staley brings the pain. I think that is a great way to describe almost every vocalist from that era. Chris, Layne Staley, Scott Weiland, Kurt Cobain, and Eddie Vedder etc. When you consider the fact that 2 of the people in that list killed themselves and 2 of them died of an overdose it’s obvious that the pain in their voices came from a real place.
Bless you Chris
You should absolutely do a reaction to Like A Stone by Audioslave (Chris as lead singer), but I'd do the original music video to appreciate all of the band.
That and several others by Audioslave are a gift from the past. That band consisted of the musicians from Rage Against The Machine (Tom Morello, Tim Commerford & Brad Wilk).
RIP Chris Cornell
He does a BEAUTIFUL version of Nothing Compares 2 U
You have to listen to him cover Nothing Compares to You. It is phenomenal.
love for a perfect human who seemed to be perfect and ended his.
Tori Amos also does a brilliant cover of Thank You ❤
Please do reactions to his acoustic covers of Billie Jean, Nothing Compares to you, Like a Stone and others. So unique. He was very gifted.
well worth looking into. Check out him with Audioslave, Sound garden and Temple of the dog.
Chris was the front man lead vocalist for Audioslave and Soundgarden.
Chris Cornell was the lead singer of soundgarden. One of the greatest ever
Like a Stone , really good
THE best
What would you like to talk about?
@Mrs_brittreacts__ what would you like to talk about?
Acoustic solo version, unplugged in Sweden or Songbook.
Beautiful song❤
Chris Cornell is my favorite male singer of all time. Call me a dog… Like a Stone (Audioslave) He’s amazing. Supposedly he has a perfect pitch voice. His cover of Prince’s Nothing Compares to you is pretty great too. FYI He didn’t kill himself
You should check out his cover of Nothing Compares to you
It's the song, All of us can relate to it!
It's the pain in his voice that swept you away.
❤
He was the lead singer of grunge bands Soundgarden and Audioslave. .
Chris probably has the most powerful voice in rock music. Should check out him in the band with Eddie vedder Temple of the dog. Song is "hunger strike" you have already inducted Eddie into the PDC I'm sure you will induct Chris after watching that song. Chris was friends with Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. That supposedly committed. Not long after Chris supposedly committed suicide. Both under very suspicious circumstances.
Miss you Chris.
Nothing compares to you live.
hi Brit!! you definitely need to check out "when I'm down" live performance at the troubadour, also his "billie Jean" is insanely good, just mind blowing.
Chris had a beautifully unique voice. Listen to his duet on Crawling, with Linkin Park.
