Question: did those Mickey Thompson 305/35/20s come w/ the letters painted white? Or did you do that yourself? I've always liked white-letter tires, & have been thinking about painting the letters on the tires on my 2014 Challenger R/T Classic.
hello to you and thank you for all this info .please if you can help. 2018 challenger hellcat. what is the best way to go rear 305/35/20 9.5 or 10.5? front 285/35/20 9.5? without any issue and the best tire grip.
was thinking about going 20 inch 10.5s all around and then throwing the biggest tire that i can stuff into the well , don't want to stagger as i would like to rotate to max out tire life. tractoin is an issue
Hey did u paint the words and add the hellcat logo? I just ordered these tires and wanted to do the same thing. But more importantly want to know how u got the hellcat logo on there. Thanks man! U def made my decision easier with wether to get matching pirrelli pzero Nero's or M/T ET Street S/S
I run the same Mickey Thompson Street E/T's on my 2013 SRT Challenger with no problems and on stock 9X20 wheels. I think 315's would probably fit but I have absolutely ZERO wheel spin at the track with the pressure set at 15psi so what would be the point?
If you have the narrow hellcat , dont go more than 305/35/20 , 295 on the front , install one used tired or if the seller let you install them in the 9.5 rim , turn it on while the car is lifted and see , put in neutral and take a close look on the gaps , on the front turn the car on and move the wheel and move the most you can go in the steering wheel , and check if the tires touch something , and then you make the decission , i think 305 and 295 in front are ok , and will handle a lot better ✌🏻
Some one told me that I need to upgrade my drive shaft on my Hellcat because I put 305s MT Street Comps on my rear tires. Is that true? Do I run the risk of twisting my drive shaft? Also do K&N air filters burn more fuel?
No need to upgrade your drive shaft because street comps dont hook like the ET s/s drag radial , i run 305 street comps , strange thing that it rubs on the rear driver side. Might have to make a wheel tub mod.
NinjaWarriorDude you could break the stock driveshaft on the first run or you could do 50 passes and not have a problem. I upgraded mine because im 900 at the wheels. I made about 15 passes with mine and I had 10.5 inch with 315 Drag radials Nitto NT05r when it was stock and had no problems.. but then again I've heard dodge made the 2017 driveshaft a bit stronger than the 15-16. Also if your gonna plan on going to the track a lot with your Hellcat the smart thing to do is get a ALUMINUM driveshaft and you'll be just fine and not have to worry.
Are you talking about a K&N drop in airfilter??? If so it's going to let your Cat consume a bit more Air over the stock paper filter and you will get a bit more Air Flow so your computer will adjust to it .. More Air =more fuel = more power. +7 hp gain. Now if your just daily driving it I don't think it would even be noticable. You would probably get the same gas mileage with a drop in. Best bet is get a LEGMAKER CAI.
Abdulla Ghubash if he's tracking this car the safest way to go is get a ALUMINUM driveshaft and he won't have to worry about being towed off the track. I've read and heard of lots of people breaking the stock driveshaft especially with drag radials. Why risk it.
Robert Lyon depends on the size. If you increase the width by 30 or 60 mm while decreasing the aspect ratio by 5 for every 30 mm increase in width then your speedo will be the same
But you can't put 305 on a 9.5 inch safely. . Plus your tire is not getting correct patch to the ground. You don't want to put anything wider than 295 on a 9.5 rim.
SPhilly Fanatic are you referring to the 20x8 that come with the challenger? if so your best bet would be 255 rear and sell those rims and get wider ones. I've got a set of 295 on 9.5 rims that id sell
Nicholas Kotarski I drive a white challenger just curious as to what color the rim is. Also do you have a Instagram or another social media I could contact you by? I’m very seriously considering this offer.
Tyler Wallace, I have had a 305/35/20 on my Challenger SRT8 Stock Alcoa's for 6yrs with no Rubbing issues, & my car is lowered around 1.8'-2' than stock
Had to completely rewrite my comments when I realized they were OEM wheels. I originally stated that without the offset this was a useless video, however, I realized you are still using the original wheels which have an 18.5mm offset. Also, the wheel width is 9.5". Typically, a 305 tire on a 9.5" wheel would result in 0.6" less tire width then it would be on the standard design width, which is an 11" wheel. So the only question that leaves is, are the tires still within the face of the fenders? They appear to be. A note of caution to others...if a wider wheel is used, which it should be, a greater offset should be used, to keep the tires from protruding from the fenders.
great vid..thanks. I wish there were some before and after shots as well as track times.
Check out my other vids
For my next sets of tires im going 305 rear and 285 front. Later on buying replica wheels 10.5 wide
The white letters on the rear MT tires, do the tires come like that from the factory, or are the white letters aftermarket decals...??..Thanks,.Ian

I have the same wheels on my 2013 Challenger with 295/45/20 wished I'd went with the 305's was scared they'll rub but seems they want.
Did you use the custom stencils from tire stickers?
Did you have any wobbling from the back end on stock tires
I run the same Mickey Thompson Street E/T's on my 2013 SRT Challenger with no problems and on stock 9X20 wheels. I think 315's would probably fit but I have absolutely ZERO wheel spin at the track with the pressure set at 15psi so what would be the point?
What are these exact mickey thompsons?
What size tires do you run up front for car? And what size wheel would you suggest to run, with the 305’s in the rear for a full contact foot print?

Nice video buddy
How much did you pay on your set of Micky Thompson?
hay you think 315 with 5mm spacer fits?? thanks
How wide are the rear wheels?
Hello. What paint did you use on your tire? It looks pristine with no cracks. Thanks
It's not paint, they are from tredwear
lmfscrew what u mean about that? This company sells letting and log stickers?
yes
I have a 2017 Hellcat and I would love to buy 10.5 rims that look just like my stock wheels. Where to buy those rims and tires?
Factoryreproductions.com
Are those the rims that came on the hellcat
What about the fronts? Are they 305?
what offset are those whells

Nicholas Kotarski what diameter rim on those 10.5 315 DR's?
How about in front?
what size is in the front
Do those 305 20s rub on your stang?
Are these the MT 3402 ?
Would a different tire size conflict with the speedometer?
Robert Lyon depends on the size. If you increase the width by 30 or 60 mm while decreasing the aspect ratio by 5 for every 30 mm increase in width then your speedo will be the same
Do all Challenger models have the same wheel well size? Like If I was to put 305 on a sxt they’d be the same?
No, they won't have the same size.
what is offset on wheel ?
Tire stickers or paint?
305's don't rub on the rear on any LX with at least a 20X9 wheel
What camera set up are you running?
Nikon d5200 and iPhone 7 depending on video
What size did you put on the front? thanks
Same as factory, Just went with mickey thompson so the tire letters would all match.
lmfscrew were you running spacers along the 305s?
what is the offset ?
But you can't put 305 on a 9.5 inch safely. . Plus your tire is not getting correct patch to the ground. You don't want to put anything wider than 295 on a 9.5 rim.
Hey Nicholas Kotarski, what is the widest tire you can put on a 20x8 rim? Help!! Thanks 👍🏻
SPhilly Fanatic 245 .. 255 in the rear but that's the max.
SPhilly Fanatic are you referring to the 20x8 that come with the challenger? if so your best bet would be 255 rear and sell those rims and get wider ones. I've got a set of 295 on 9.5 rims that id sell
Nicholas Kotarski are you still selling those 20x9.5 ? If so lmk how much your looking to sell for and how used they are.
Nicholas Kotarski I drive a white challenger just curious as to what color the rim is. Also do you have a Instagram or another social media I could contact you by? I’m very seriously considering this offer.
i got 315 nittos nt05r on my hellcat and its not rubbing
do paint the letters??
do the hellcats have the same rim size as the scatpacks?
Not sure about that.
No! Scat Packs are 9" wide vs. 9.5" for the SRT's.
NO THEY ARE 9 INCH ALL AROUND ON 245-45-20S ANOTHER BAD CHOICE BY DODGE LOL
bobby hayhurst 392 only.
bobby hayhurst with the dynamics package it’s the srt and hellcat wheel, tire, and brake setup but without it it’s 9 inch wheel with 245/45/r20
Just installed mine did you have any problems with the plastic thing I think it’s part of the mud guard on the inside?
Have you driven the Car in the Rain does it stick?
Its not something you want to go flying down the road with but its definitely drivable in the rain.
No they don't rub in the rear. Best bet front is 275
Would the 305's fit on the front without rubbing?
No. There is no reason to run such a large tire on the front.
@@lmfscrew except wanting the tires to look proportional D:
Why did you not go to a 10.5" wheel?
$$$$
That’s not an 11” wheel. Then it would be rubbing. 9.5 wheel is not recommended for that size tire.
What splash guards are those?
Check out my last video
does anybody drag the car,so far ive seen 12.5 13.5 ill keep my winne 10.7 vega ,show me low 11s stock and im in
We ran 11.1 @ 127 first pass ever. leaving off idle.
on tire an HC will run a mid-high 10
before watching video i dont think they should because they don't run on the first gen srts
Tyler Wallace, I have had a 305/35/20 on my Challenger SRT8 Stock Alcoa's for 6yrs with no Rubbing issues, & my car is lowered around 1.8'-2' than stock
exactly SRTs are made for fat boyz
Tyler Wallace, are you not well?
H Mack im fine fat boyz are what ppl call tires that as fat as yours
Tyler Wallace, lol ahh. My bad bro. I just never heard meats called that before. Cool

?
No
Would the 285 fit on the front without rubbing?
I would never put 285 up front 295 in the back and 275
