Your challenger is gonna look so sick 👌 I have 275/40/ZR20 NittoNT555 G2 all around on my ScatPack Challenger on Hellcat wheels . It really makes a difference with bigger tires.
I just ordered the Falken Pro G5 sport 275's A/S for mine. We have the exact same car, color shaker, scat! I wanted the michelins but these were $700 cheaper, and guy at discount tire recommended them. The stock 245 doesn't make sense. I wish it had wider rims from the factory... Thanks for super informative video!
I was originally gonna get Michelin summer tires for more traction but I don’t regret getting these at all. They have all the traction that I would want and they will last longer and we’re cheaper than the summer tires. Thanks for watching!
Wow so you finally did it, but surprised me that you didn't get drag radials. Although after you explained your needs, it made sense and is ok to be conservative sometimes. That said, I would pick up a set of drag radials for the back and wouldn't need to go very wide. That way you can keep the price down and wouldn't be very expensive. The width isn't nearly as important as the compound that they are made of, and wouldn't be very much for two tires. I think I told you that I put new ones on mine a few months ago, they are 17" dragstars wrapped in Micky T 305s and hook nicely. I replaced the 295 all seasons it had on it and always spun with those, so that's what I mean by with does not matter much and is all about the compound. With the mods & tune I've got done, it's 6.1 is pretty close to a 392, but yours isn't stock and needs sticky tires
Yep finally got around to it after it failed inspection for tires. I think anything would be better than the stock Goodyear’s that were on it when it comes to compound. I’m pretty happy with the Michelin’s. Thanks for watching!
Love your videos! Beautiful ride!! Got a question, I love beefy tires that stick out!! What is your thought on adding a 2 inch or 1 inch spacer to a 275/35/20? Is it safe? I have a 2019 Scat Pack.
So really no need to get the WB trim if you can put 295's on the 9.5 wheel that comes with 1320 trim? Reason I ask is I'm trying to decide bet those trims. I do like the front end that comes with the WB, but I'm so so on the looks of the fender flares.
Should of went staggered with the power your making. Nitto 555G2 fronts 275/40/20, rear 305/35/20. You’ll spin a lot with 275’s. Great videos thanks for sharing
I thought about doing that, only issue is I’d have to get wider wheels and I didn’t want to spend that kind of money. These have zero traction issues. Video tomorrow night showing the performance of the tires
Yea I understand, it’s always something you want to upgrade. When u do upgrade look at factory reproductions I’m happy with my hellcat replicas from there 9.5 fronts and 10.5 rears. It was around $2000 for all 4 corners but I sold my stock wheels and tires in a week for $800 so wasn’t too bad .
Thanks for the video. I need you suggestion. I Own a Dodge Challenger GT 2019 and the stock tires are the same 245/45 R20. Will it be a problem if I install 275/45 R20 instead of 40? Will it have any issues? Thanks.
I wouldn’t expect any issue from a GT since it has more space in the wheels wells than a ScatPack. Going with a 45 ratio will just make the sidewall larger. What size are your wheels?
Hey dude, nice ride! Did it fit those wheels fine? I got the same specs and I'm about to buy some 305's if it fits... It's got the stock 275 now. Thank you!
Im thinking of Super Stock wheels on my NB Challenger. I have to replace sway bar ends and may need lowering a bit. I wont put the Nitto replacements (they dont make them anymore) and probably go with a fatter sidewall. That might save me from having to lower it, and give me more sidewall. I only care for the look, that more oldschool look (would love to find white letter tires) I was going to do WB in the rear only, but then the 170 came out. Im curious if anyone has gone this route with the 18s and 315s on a regular SP. Im not looking to make it look like a SS (I have one already) just love that look. Also want to put a shaker too. This is the old school car, so speed isnt a bit issue. Its also a stick, which is the best stick I ever drove. Anything is better than the pizza slicers now (though the burnouts and power slides are easy and fun...Id even take 245s if I could find an 18 rim! If it was steel, with dog dishes that would be awesome too! I wanted to get the Shakedown because of the red stitching, but bank said no (too many cars lol), so going all black and retro, where the red wont look great (unless I go red line tires...then back to wanting to swap out the interior, but thats a LOT of labor id be putting in, and just had a heart attack so gonna keep it lighter. But hey, these cars give me a reason to live!)
@@KCars True, though its mostly for looks. The 18s are lower diameter overall and I dont want to mess with the speedometer (with means ECU stuff). So if I can find tires that are a bit bigger that end up being the same size as the 20s that would be awesome. If they made steelies Id even go that route lol but those are at best 245s, which is what the car has now.
Yes . I can confirm . I have the exact same car as he does just in Granite and I have 275/40/ZR20 NittoNT555 G2 all around on the stock rims before changing them to Hellcat rims also same tires and they fit perfectly fine
@KCars thanks brother. Yeah il make my first video on it once I pick her up on Thursday. Your color definitely pops more. Everyone can hear ans see you coming 👊
