My husband also got insanely controlling when I went back to school for my nursing degree. Luckily I never had kids with him and got out so far, safely. That's so scary. Glad you listened to your gut instinct and saw the signs that helped you get out of that situation. My ex-husband was a bipolar narcissist (found out after marriage when he stopped taking his medication for it) and the person he was turning into was very scary which prompted a "it was him text" to my best friend. Got out of that marriage not long after but it took years to self heal and move on from that whole traumatic experience.
Becky sounds like such a gem. I know the 'narcissist' thing is a cliche at this point, but it's the only explanation I can think of. Instead of Tim thinking "gee maybe I'm the problem, I'll work to be a better partner to my wife" his ego is so out of whack he thinks she's the devil and the source of all his problems. (A nurse and loving mother who ROUTINELY helps others)
When the judge counted out each shot. That hit me hard! Saying "you shot her 14 times" is shocking to hear but shouting "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14" just made it ring in my ear like actual gun shots. That was powerful. Rip beautiful lady and I'm glad her and her family got justice.

Let’s not forget that Becky had just had surgery and was in a very vulnerable state.. and Tim knew that! She had asked him to keep the boys for another night because she wasn’t feeling well after her surgery. He knew how vulnerable she was and he took complete advantage of it.
i initiated no contact w my ex. he broke no contact but i needed him to explain why he started seeing me as an enemy. he said he realized he was jealous of me. couldn’t explain why he was or why he couldn’t stop feeling jealous. “keep your enemies closer” is something some men live by.

I read some stats once where a majority of women who land in jail for "violent" crimes are there because they tried to defend themselves from a murderous abusive partner. I don't remember if this was in USA or my own country, but that statement resonated.

The “91126” being on her phone absolutely breaks my heart. I cannot stand violence, this is sickening. To take someone’s life who was putting nothing but positivity in the world is beyond low. Her family and her sons were also stolen from too. How dare you take a mother away from her children?
The defense attorney shaking her head and rolling her eyes while Becky's mother was reading her impact statement at 49:43 made my skin crawl. Just absolutely sickening and so incredibly disrespectful. I hope that Becky's soul is resting in peace and that her family and sons can heal. As for Tim, I hope he rots in hell.

Whether she thought he was guilty or not, a woman was murdered. That piece of info is not up for debate. A woman lost her life, the world lost a beautiful person, the hospital lost a hardworking and caring nurse, her patients lost a wonderful and decorated caregiver, her friends lost a great and reliable friend, her family lost a beloved member, this man lost his ex, his children’s mother, etc. Whether she thought he was guilty or not, she was disgusting in her actions and it’s reprehensible that she sat there knowing cameras were on her, shaking her head. She’s been a nurse since before I was born and she always takes such special care of her patients… why is it always the ones who makes the world an amazing place the ones to have to leave us

I sobbed the whole end of the video 😭 The victim statements, the attorney, and the judge counting out the 14 gun shots, got me. My heart breaks for this family. There is no doubt in my mind they put the correct person behind bars.

Her mother is one of the sweetest and most selfless women I’ve ever met. I never met Becky, but her mom spoke so highly of her. I haven’t seen her mom since she lost Becky, she has been focusing all of her energy on raising Becky’s boys.

That judge must have had a flash back to his prosecution days...he did not hold back and it was great! Justice is such a hard concept- if only his life sentence could substitute hers😢
He was great. The prosecutor was impressive as well. Some prosecutors irk me, even when the defendant is a POS, they can be a lot to take. This guy is a very effective speaker without feeling the need to be extra.
if some one is ordered by a judge to return a piece of weaponry given them by another, IMMEDIATELY, while STILL in the court-room, at least two police officers should be called to the court-house to accompany the person to their home to get the gun, and either the cops bring the weapon back to the other person, or they go with the one who was ordered to give it back, to the other's home to return it. the judge shouldn't just leave it up to the person to give it back when ever they felt like it. it should have been done IMMEDIATELY, that very day. now that's not to say he couldn't have gotten another gun some other way, but all the same -- he should have been made to bring the gun back THAT DAY, with a police escort to make sure he actually followed the judge's orders, OR ordered him to surrender the gun to the police and had the cops bring it back. common sense clearly is not a part of the judicial system.
The defense's attempt to poke holes in the phone search is ridiculous. "Oh well maybe the real killer used his phone, we don't know it was him!" COME ON they're PIN protected. I hate Bliefnick's lawyer's type of defense: it's basically wanting to equate "astronomically tiny possibility" with "reasonable doubt". It doesn't work that way.

Nursing school is no joke and not having a supportive spouse makes it tough. My ex was very much not supportive of me in my BSN program. I think all nurses can honor Becky by providing compassionate and excellent care. Her memory will live on through the nursing community ❤
Girl talk is "My husband is talking to me about fantasy football again and I'm just going with it." Not "My husband beats me and throws things at me in front of the kids. If I end up dead, he did it" How could she with a clear conscious even say something like that? I understand that defense attorneys need to give their clients a fair defense under the law. I know that some attorneys defend clients that they may not 100% believe are innocent, especially if it's a public defender. But after the trial not even admitting "Yeah this guy was a monster and I see now that he did it" . Her ego and ethics are wacky.

One could possibly (though still major cringe-y) argue that it's "girl talk" if there was at least an "lol" in there somewhere but it sure didn't look like that was the case. What a jackass that woman is. Defense attorneys can often be dealt a crap hand of a case but ESPECIALLY when someone has lost their life there's a way to stand by and defend your client while also displaying tact and respect.
my mom is a victim of DM, my whole family is. it’s terrifying knowing that it’s statistically more common to be murdered from your spouse (ex spouse) they’ve been divorced since 2020 but it wasn’t a easy divorce and i’m always scared of what could happen. we understand you becky and we’re glad you got justice!

I dont know how to feel. I am angry. He asked for the divorce, he wanted to leave and when he realised he couldn't keep everything in the process he considered her disposable?! When i watch stuff like this, I always tell my Fiancé 'if you ever want to leave me, dont kill me' and he's always so confused that I'd think thats an option. But the sad reality is, for many men- it's less of a hit to kill someone you love then to let them leave. Just let them go, let them leave. Xxxx
I have mixed emotions every time Kendall uploads a video. I love her videos because of how elegantly and responsibly they are presented, and they are getting the media attention they deserve, but it’s another sad story about someone losing their life. I’m just so glad we have creators like Kendall who spend their time really understanding all sides of the cases and presenting them with good morals, as well as donating to foundations and charities that support stories like this one. 🖤
I really do hope the children are growing up with Becky's loving family, so they can hear all about their amazing mum and I hope they are healing the best they can.
I love that she was a Daisy recipient. I went to university right after school and graduated with my BSN in 4 years. Several of my classmates were older-average age was 29-and nursing was not their first career. One went on to win a Daisy and she was a fantastic classmate, nurse, mother and woman. The world lost a wonderful person. Glad he got the correct sentence.

Watching the 48 Hours I low-key think she's in love with Bliefnick, on that idea one of the following is true: she believes he's not guilty because her affection is clouding her judgment, or she thinks he deserves to get away with murder.
That crossed my mind, too. She may be concerned about her reputation as an attorney, or thinking that she will no longer take on cases where she knows she is defending a guilty person. But something about her body language, shaking, and facial expressions gave off a hint of there being something more to it.
As a boy mom myself, my heart really breaks for those young men. Losing your mom at that age in this horrible manner... I pray that the Lord surrounds them with comfort, peace, and love.

Wow I had no idea what the daisy award was, my daughter was born wirh a rare liver disease and has spent alot of time in the hospital, I've seen signs that said "nominate your nurse for a daisy award!" Now that I know what it is I will definitely nominate our favorite nurse next time my daughter is in the hospital. I’ve never heard of this case before but oh my gosh does it break my heart. As a mom of 3, a registered nurse who had no support from their spouse in school, and who lived in fear of their abusive partner each and every day, this has always been my worst nightmare. My divorce and custody court where I have lots of evidence to support me getting full custody isn’t until this fall and I truly fear how he will react. I can only imagine the fear Becky felt in those final moments. What a phenomenal woman she was and what a devastating loss. Those poor babies.
That's a good point. In this case I see a lot of anger at the judge, and while it's *something*, ultimately I think Bliefnick would have murdered her either way. I've known situations where a restraining order even aggravates the abuser, sadly. With some cases, like the murder of Amie Harwick, I think extending the restraining order could have been helpful: her stalker showed a pattern of escalating violations after her 8-year restraining order expired. But even then it's no guarantee. (i.e. Her killer Gareth Pursehouse was still breaking into her apartment even WHEN the order was in place, he was just more stealthy about it. After it expired he got brazenly creepy.)
Unfortunately it's not until the woman dies that the system decides to do something. My heart goes to all the individuals going through physical and mental abuse and the system ignoring their cries.
Agreed, but it might have given him pause. Continuing to get away with his threatening behavior may have given him false confidence. He felt untouchable. Murdering someone who has a restraining order against you makes you the #1 suspect and is evidence. It may have helped stop him but we’ll never know. Her and the children deserved that protection or at least validation form the courts regardless 😢
These victim impact statements were some of the most impactful I’ve ever heard. Becky’s sister really captured the agony of losing someone like her. She seemed like she was a bright light amongst the darkness. I hope her boys can grow up to cope with both of these losses in healthy ways. Nobody deserved this pain.
Kendall, i have been watching you since i was in 6th grade, i am now 20. i’ve always loved your channel. I grew up on the ID channel bc my mom had it on as long as I can remember. this grew my interest in true crime. your passion for telling these victims stories, your attention to detail and how you bring every single detail into your videos is amazing. you truly talk about each case as if you knew the victims yourself. this translates a sense of deep emotion in your videos, which has always touched me.
Looking at her old Facebook's it's heartbreaking because she's so happy for her beautiful family and healthy kids and wonderful husband she says. You can tell what kind of wonderful human being she was.

Speaking as a person who is also going through a divorce, I would also look into the new boyfriend or girlfriend, mainly because I want to be sure that my kids are safe around this new person. I wouldn't go that crazy, but I understand to an extent. Also, Aldi is a cheaper place to shop for groceries, but they are also 100% dye free in all of their products. I have noticed a significant difference in my daughters behavior since we switched to dye free. Love you and all of your shows. ❤

I am from Brazil and saw articles about this case several times, but I didn't know how many times she was shot or how many shots the killer fired in places that didn't kill her quickly so she would suffer. It's so sad. I hope that her family, especially the boys, are well and that she has found peace wherever she is.

I often wonder in cases like this, if the perpetrator even consider the fact that they are now leaving their children without any parents for the rest of their life. I don’t understand why any parent wouldn’t think about that. Parents are supposed to love and protect their children, not leave them traumatized.

Whether she thought he was guilty or not, a woman was murdered. That piece of info is not up for debate. A woman lost her life, the world lost a beautiful person, the hospital lost a hardworking and caring nurse, her patients lost a wonderful and decorated caregiver, her friends lost a great and reliable friend, her family lost a beloved member, this man lost his ex, his children’s mother, etc. Whether she thought he was guilty or not, she was disgusting in her actions and it’s reprehensible that she sat there knowing cameras were on her, shaking her head. Turns my stomach to know she could know all the facts, listen to all of the testimony, hear all of Becky’s family’s stories and heartbreak and still show her face in public. I would be utterly mortified to know so many people saw me acting that way. The way she not only acts that way, but then doubles down in later interviews, is gross. She should be ashamed.

I love that it’s called The Daisy Foundation, that was my grandmas name (miss you, grandma) and my mom is an amazing nurse. She’s been a nurse since before I was born and she always takes such special care of her patients… why is it always the ones who makes the world an amazing place the ones to have to leave us

That judge must have had a flash back to his prosecution days...he did not hold back and it was great! Justice is such a hard concept- if only his life sentence could substitute hers😢
He was great. The prosecutor was impressive as well. Some prosecutors irk me, even when the defendant is a POS, they can be a lot to take. This guy is a very effective speaker without feeling the need to be extra.
This judge did the right thing in this case, but if you up his name (judge Robert Adrian) you can see how bad of a person he is.
if some one is ordered by a judge to return a piece of weaponry given them by another, IMMEDIATELY, while STILL in the court-room, at least two police officers should be called to the court-house to accompany the person to their home to get the gun, and either the cops bring the weapon back to the other person, or they go with the one who was ordered to give it back, to the other's home to return it. the judge shouldn't just leave it up to the person to give it back when ever they felt like it. it should have been done IMMEDIATELY, that very day.
now that's not to say he couldn't have gotten another gun some other way, but all the same -- he should have been made to bring the gun back THAT DAY, with a police escort to make sure he actually followed the judge's orders, OR ordered him to surrender the gun to the police and had the cops bring it back. common sense clearly is not a part of the judicial system.

I think all nurses can honor Becky by providing compassionate and excellent care. Her memory will live on through the nursing community ❤

How could she with a clear conscious even say something like that? I understand that defense attorneys need to give their clients a fair defense under the law. I know that some attorneys defend clients that they may not 100% believe are innocent, especially if it's a public defender. But after the trial not even admitting "Yeah this guy was a monster and I see now that he did it" . Her ego and ethics are wacky.

One could possibly (though still major cringe-y) argue that it's "girl talk" if there was at least an "lol" in there somewhere but it sure didn't look like that was the case. What a jackass that woman is. Defense attorneys can often be dealt a crap hand of a case but ESPECIALLY when someone has lost their life there's a way to stand by and defend your client while also displaying tact and respect.

my mom is a victim of DM, my whole family is. it’s terrifying knowing that it’s statistically more common to be murdered from your spouse (ex spouse) they’ve been divorced since 2020 but it wasn’t a easy divorce and i’m always scared of what could happen. we understand you becky and we’re glad you got justice!

I love her videos because of how elegantly and responsibly they are presented, and they are getting the media attention they deserve, but it’s another sad story about someone losing their life. I love that she was a Daisy recipient. I went to university right after school and graduated with my BSN in 4 years. Several of my classmates were older-average age was 29-and nursing was not their first career. One went on to win a Daisy and she was a fantastic classmate, nurse, mother and woman. The world lost a wonderful person. Glad he got the correct sentence.

Wow I had no idea what the daisy award was, my daughter was born wirh a rare liver disease and has spent alot of time in the hospital, I've seen signs that said "nominate your nurse for a daisy award!" Now that I know what it is I will definitely nominate our favorite nurse next time my daughter is in the hospital. I’ve never heard of this case before but oh my gosh does it break my heart. As a mom of 3, a registered nurse who had no support from their spouse in school, and who lived in fear of their abusive partner each and every day, this has always been my worst nightmare. My divorce and custody court where I have lots of evidence to support me getting full custody isn’t until this fall and I truly fear how he will react. I can only imagine the fear Becky felt in those final moments. What a phenomenal woman she was and what a devastating loss. Those poor babies.
Even if Becky did get that protection order I don’t think it would have mattered. So sad.

That's a good point. In this case I see a lot of anger at the judge, and while it's *something*, ultimately I think Bliefnick would have murdered her either way.
I've known situations where a restraining order even aggravates the abuser, sadly.
With some cases, like the murder of Amie Harwick, I think extending the restraining order could have been helpful: her stalker showed a pattern of escalating violations after her 8-year restraining order expired. But even then it's no guarantee. (i.e. Her killer Gareth Pursehouse was still breaking into her apartment even WHEN the order was in place, he was just more stealthy about it. After it expired he got brazenly creepy.)
Unfortunately it's not until the woman dies that the system decides to do something. My heart goes to all the individuals going through physical and mental abuse and the system ignoring their cries.
Agreed, but it might have given him pause. Continuing to get away with his threatening behavior may have given him false confidence. He felt untouchable. Murdering someone who has a restraining order against you makes you the #1 suspect and is evidence. It may have helped stop him but we’ll never know. Her and the children deserved that protection or at least validation form the courts regardless 😢
It seems like more times than not, restraining orders only escalate the situation.
These victim impact statements were some of the most impactful I’ve ever heard. Becky’s sister really captured the agony of losing someone like her. She seemed like she was a bright light amongst the darkness. I hope her boys can grow up to cope with both of these losses in healthy ways. Nobody deserved this pain.

I grew up on the ID channel bc my mom had it on as long as I can remember. this grew my interest in true crime. your passion for telling these victims stories, your attention to detail and how you bring every single detail into your videos is amazing. you truly talk about each case as if you knew the victims yourself. this translates a sense of deep emotion in your videos, which has always touched me.

Speaking as a person who is also going through a divorce, I would also look into the new boyfriend or girlfriend, mainly because I want to be sure that my kids are safe around this new person. I wouldn't go that crazy, but I understand to an extent.
Also, Aldi is a cheaper place to shop for groceries, but they are also 100% dye free in all of their products. I have noticed a significant difference in my daughters behavior since we switched to dye free. Love you and all of your shows. ❤

I am from Brazil and saw articles about this case several times, but I didn't know how many times she was shot or how many shots the killer fired in places that didn't kill her quickly so she would suffer. It's so sad. I hope that her family, especially the boys, are well and that she has found peace wherever she is.

I often wonder in cases like this, if the perpetrator even consider the fact that they are now leaving their children without any parents for the rest of their life. I don’t understand why any parent wouldn’t think about that. Parents are supposed to love and protect their children, not leave them traumatized.

The fact that he had searched for Becky’s new boyfriend’s license plate 200 times makes me truly mad. Not only is that an evasion of their privacy but it also shows just how far he was willing to go to harm her.
