Niqui McCown was a 28-year-old mother, living in Richmond, Indiana, with her 9-year-old daughter, Payton, and her fiance, Bobby Webster. In July of 2001, they were 3 weeks away from their wedding, and Niqui was said to have been very excited. But on the 22nd of that month, she vanished. After going to church that morning, she took some clothes to the laundromat, and rather than wait around for them to be ready, she went to her mother’s house, who lived not far away. When she got there, she explained that she was being harassed by 2 men, and so her mom advised her to get her clothes and come back over. But after Niqui left, she was never seen again. Suspicion fell on her fiance for a while, and it also fell on Payton’s father. But the true main suspect was her coworker, Tommy Swint. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Tommy was responsible for the murder of another woman back in 1991, but before any arrests could be made, Tommy took his life. Many believe he also took the answers to what happened to Niqui with him.

My honorable discharge doesn’t show up either. Only if you’d been convicted of a crime will anything show up. It’s well within the realm of possibilities that you can be dishonorably discharged without having done something that’s just horrible. So there’s that.

It depends on what the discharge is for…
Should it be desertion or being “AWOL”… some employers may forgive that depending on how long ago it was & what their guidelines are during the hiring process..
Most dishonorable discharges are “felony” grade reasons (murder, fraud, treason, SA) & most employers won’t hire you if it’s seen during your background check (a thorough background check should definitely see this).
In law enforcement, a lot of trash ppl are hired in spite of & stuff like this happens.. it repulsive & the agencies should also be held responsible IMO…

Agreed. And that does make it seem, in my opinion, more likely that it was Tommy who did it. Since Tommy was her co-worker, it's very likely he knew about her ex husband.

Ngl , I fistly thought it was going to be the fiance...but nothing can top Tommy's disgusting actions before and after Niqui's disappearance . I'm 99% sure that not only he's a serial killer , but him "unaliving" himself was the coward way to escape accountabilities of Tina's murder as well as being his confession of Niqui's alleged murder. Call me naïve , but I now think the fiance "suspicious " actions after her death were only circumstantial . The reasons he gave for those pretty much make sense and didn't sound made up imo. Everybody is different, everybody deal with grief differently. I hope one day Niqui’s family will have a sense of closure by finding her whereabouts or something .

Please never brush it off when someone tells you they feel/felt h*rassed by someone. It might happen again, but they might not tell you about it this time oder downplay it as well, because of your reaction.
You might not feel the same way, but as soon as someone feels uncomfortable in a situation take it seriously.
A professor at my university was kind of fixated on me. I always dreaded his courses, because I felt so uncomfortable around him. He would turn around on stairs when I passed him and so on. I told my family about him...well, they reacted like as if I should feel flattered and asked me, if he's at least good looking.
He once became angry and threw his stuff on the table like a child having a tantrum when I decided to not sit next to him.
At that time I struggled with dissociation and as soon, as the lesson was over, my mind started to shut down.
At home I finally broke down. I was left alone with it, because my family wasn't there for me and my friends didn't know how to help me.
So yeah, never brush it off.

I don't understand how being vain is a 'sign' of her fiancée being guilty of murder. Like, if he was vain before, he's not going to stop being vain now. If I wasn't guilty of murder, I would definitely be worried about how I look, since the public is always judging.

Thank you for adding this, treated Graves may not be fatal, but it absolutely is when not properly controlled. And Graves disease attacks more than just the thyroid. If it was only a thyroid disease, it would be called just that, thyroid disease, but it's not, it's an autoimmune disease that mainly attacks thyroid but can lead to so many other issues. 😅 Rare diseases have such misinformation... which is not Kendalls fault imo, is just due to lack of and misinformation.

@@kikitagueritaWhile I absolutely agree with you, as a person of colour sometimes approaching higher authority can seem kinda pointless (for lack of a better word) , you never know when you’ll be taken seriously or even be assisted. So if someone thought another person went missing but they weren’t it can add to the long list of why the police seem to not care about poc or just use that as an example to justify waiting 72 hrs to report a missing person

@@ambershoba that’s assuming that an entire group won’t take a POC seriously. I can see what you’re saying but at the end of the day at least I know I tried reporting someone as a missing person. I realize there is a stigma with both parties but a few bad seeds don’t account for an entire group. It’s unfortunate that people let stigmas get in the way.

Bobby seems completely normal. As of the worrying about how he looks, as someone with autism I am worried about how I look and dress no matter the situation. It’s just very normal and behavioral for me. This guy seems totally normal and possibly neurodivergent. I feel terrible for him, that people are openly describing him as odd and suspicious while trying to say due to his skin color people would have done just that anyways. So it’s weird to just do it in the same breathe. The guy seems so normal, just struggling with the situation and his own personal life.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. This opinion doesn't reflect how autistic people feel as a group. Every person is an individual. For me, when my loved one is in trouble, my looks are the last thing I am focused on. Only are my shoes on? Do I have my keys? My opinions, peace.

@@aubreyf4678 I never said that I represented the autistic community. I said that you didn't. You can say what you like. But adding that you are autistic in this context implied, in my opinion, that most autistic people are focused on appearance no matter the situation.

I do too, I know it's not exactly the same, but if I feel like I've not been the best mother that day I often will try to make it up to my daughter by doing things she's asked me to do or things I think she'd like while she's at school or asleep in bed. It helps me forgive myself a little bit.
Also, I can relate to Bobby being concerned about his appearance when it seemed like a complete trivial and unimportant thing to most people. I swear that when I look amazing and at my best, that's usually when I'm at my worst. I have endometriosis and I'm in constant pain. I have PTSD and anxiety too. Whenever I'm Really anxious or my pain is flaring up I feel completely out of control of everything. Over the years I've found that I soothe myself by caring for my skin, applying my makeup very carefully, doing my nails, hair etc. I believe it's because I feel like I'm in complete control over these things so it helps me stay calm. It's awful because I can't count how many times people (ironically Dr's and nurses are the worst for it) have told me if I was as ill as I say I wouldn't look so good. That I wouldn't care about my hair or makeup. It's so upsetting because it's a coping mechanism but our society is so ableist that the average person can't compute that you can be struggling but look great. All of my closest family and friends know this because they've seen it so many times but it traumatises me all over again when I'm called out for it.
I'm not saying this applies to Bobby at all; this just my experience. But I like to play Devil's Advocate because I wish people could try to see why I do what I do without being suspicious.
