I feel for the estranged daughter....imagine finding out that your parents and sister were involved in this travesty and then finding out your mother was willing to have you murdered. And her only concern was that your body was found so they could get an insurance policy. She was blessed to be removed from that circus before all the clowns stumbled out of the clown car.

Dude I know right... this poor girl deserves SOOOO MUCH BETTER, and I'm just happy that she didn't inherit the same lack of empathy that clearly runs in the family. Like I swear this is a family of sociopaths, and I'm just beyond happy that this poor girl probably saw that from a young age, was disgusted by how her parents conducted themselves, and got tf away from this toxic, abusive and uncaring family. But still, even if you hate your family, it still must hurt like hell to realize even your own mother, the woman who BIRTHED YOU, wouldn't give a single shit if you were to die, and over probably not even that much money. The life insurance policy, realistically, was probably like 50,000$, something small like that, and her parents didn't care for their own child's life if they got some cash out of her death. But I'm so glad she got out and values her own life enough to not stay in that toxic environment. If you're reading this, stay strong girl, we're all so proud of you and the woman you are today, your life has value and meaning and we love you❤

Thank you for telling Billy and Billy jeans story and not starting it off as painting Janelle as the victim… every single time, I’ve heard someone talk about this case it always begins with Jenelle‘s side of the story and yes, I understand there’s a twist at the end and it shows that she was actually the villain in the story but i just don’t think it gives the real victims a voice in telling the story the way most ppl do. I just really appreciate you telling it from their perspective and not hers. I’ve heard this case multiple times and you were the first that I’ve heard to not tell the story that way.

    • @ellespoonies
      @ellespoonies 5 місяців тому +29

@@djtyner6232I agree, but the “same outcome” assumes that the other person knows what you meant to say, which isn’t always the case. In text especially, it’s incredibly easy to misunderstand someone whether because you can’t detect their tone or because you couldn’t parse out what their shorthand / typo meant.
Complexity doesn’t always mean clarity, but education gives both the writer and the reader better tools to understand each other, along with increasing accessibility for those who have dyslexia and other reading comprehension difficulties.
Literacy is important, and a lot of people online tend to willfully avoid it, which is incredibly unfortunate. The parents should have known the CIA agent was not real based on the language used, but they did not have the literacy to realize that.

It was absolutely a "complex" plan and she shows so much intelligence by coming up with it in the first place! Now yes, obviously the evidence that she left is astounding and obviously very unintelligent, but to be so aware of yourself and how you need to manipulate everyone into believing this whole thing is absolutely intelligent. She was patient, didn't act on compulsive behavior, had a thought out scheme and took her time to dish out a revenge plot that could be something from a book! But yes, she did show her lack of intellect thru the execution of her plan. She didn't understand how everything you do on a computer can and will be traced back to the original source if you're a suspect. If she did have that basic understanding of what police can do now thru digital forensics, she could have made a plan where she could have gotten away with everything. It was her sheltered life and lack of understanding of how the world works that got her caught. But the manipulation part of this plot was DEFINITELY the most intelligent part. Even just knowing that she would have to build up a profile of evidence of being harassed, then understanding that she'd have to create this whole character of "Chris" and that she'd have to gain her families trust of this person, that's definitely a sign of intelligence. Now if her family were nit so ignorant she wouldn't have been able to convince them most likely, but she KNEW how easily corrupting they were from the years she spent with them, she knew them as people and knew that she could get away with convincing them to do what she wanted. This all was a very thought out plot that she did plan pretty well, but as I said It was the execution of the plan that was not thorough and thought out in a way a normal person would think of. Because she was so sheltered she thought that everyone thinks the same way as her family, she had NO understanding of basic police work, and if she had I really think she could have come up with a much better and convincing scenario in which she could have gotten away with. She seems to understand emotional intelligence, in that I mean she understands manipulation and is self aware that she could manipulate these people. Unfortunately for her, she doesnt posses basic intelligence, where as you and I would see even just a little of the evidence and be like oh ya that was definitely her, she would never be able to understand that. Fo for someone like her, I think she shows extreme emotional intelligence and an understanding of watching the people around her, how they act and react to certain things and situations, and put that knowledge to use. But ya, that's all I wanted to say, basically from our point of view we see someone who left a mountain of evidence, but I also see someone who is self aware and capable of extreme manipulation and planning. She is smarter than people give her credit for, and if she had been a normal person she would have come up with a much more thought out plan that wouldn't leave a trail of evidence leading right back to her.

The saddest thing in cases like this one is how including ONE person in your social circle out of kindness is enough to completely ruin and destroy your life . Yes, befriending the “weird kid” isn’t always as altruistic as it seems. Sometimes our instincts pick up on people who are off-putting because they are potentially dangerous and inappropriate. You don’t need to befriend someone who makes you uncomfortable just to be kind. Similar to the Lauren Giddings heartbreaking case.

I feel if Janelle's parents had allowed her to have some friends naturally none of this would have happened. Janelle got jealous and also probably knew that they were being friends out of sympathy and didn't feel it was genuine. I feel they underestimated Janelle, her capabilities, and her comprehension. An absolute tragedy on everyone but especially that poor little baby.

Yeah, I feel like they all got the sentences they deserved. I feel like it was glossed over how weirdly manipulative the parents were too - the situation kinda gave me Gypsy Rose vibes. They were all to blame for sure, but if the parents didn't have as tight of a leash on her, she wouldn't have been as fixated on other people. I know she had an illness but she seemed to have a lot of energy and unlimited time to create these fake personas and elaborate schemes, but didn't stop to think to consider she was leaving an obvious paper trail. Absolutely mad.

She’s barely a 3/10. Her teeth and eyes are scary.

Janelle has the same evil expression in her eyes when she smiles like Karla Homolka.

kendall, you should do an episode over the belo grocery store murders, it’s unsolved and it’s a case that’s stuck with me for the longest time

I had to laugh. How awfully dumb could an entire family be?!
Rest in peace to the innocent souls who were caught in the middle of this nonsense. Xx

Kendall thanks for spreading awareness for missing and exploited kids! ❤ is there anyway that you could look into the cold case of Vilate Kereen Young? She was 15 months when she went missing. She went missing in 1956.

WOW....just wow. This entire family I believe is very slow. The fact that every email ended in with "For all that I care!"....just wow.

The beginning of this story and her relationship sounds like the movie The Other Sister.

It’s definitely hard to wrap your mind around the stupidity. So Janelle was emailing her mom from her own email account and referring to her as mom but pretending to be a CIA agent and the mom therefore supports the murder of two strangers 😵‍💫

For a child to lose both parents for of the absolute shocking lack of intelligence in that entire family just makes this case so insanely sad. Two lives lost for truly no reason at all.

I just came from your Tamla video! I can't believe that was 2 years ago. I think about that case often and love to revisit your channel often when I run out of things to watch
