Thank you for posting! Looking for guidance: My wallet on OKX has some crypto USDT, and I tpossess the seedphrase. ==clean party soccer advance audit clean evil finish tonight involve whip action==..What’s the best way can I posting transferring them to moving them?
All the heavens alight for me this week. Alot of good news personally and my Jade wallet just arrived yesterday! Your video is just what I need. Thanks!
A Bluetooth connection is not really airgapped. Data can be transferred back and forth. The idea of a truly airgapped mode is that only a very limited amount of data can be transferred, e.g. by using a micro-sd-card or in this case, QR-codes. It doesn't really make a difference if you use a usb-connection or Bluetooth.
Thank you for addressing this, you're correct - I got it wrong in the video. QR Codes would be the airgapped method with the Jade as it does not have microSD. Thanks!
@@robinvandenberg25does the firmware need to be installed to disable Bluetooth to make it air gapped or can you just never use the Bluetooth feature and always use the QR code to make it airgapped.
Curious. When you created that native segwit bitcoin account did it automatically create a legacy account and archive it? I found a legacy account in my archives and I do not remember creating one.
The video is very interesting! Something I don't understand: I have USDT in my OKX wallet and I have the recovery phrase. [pride]-[pole]-[obtain]-[together]-[second]-[when]-[future]-[mask]-[review]-[nature]-[potato]-[bulb]: How should I convert them into Bitcoin?
Does the Bluetooth need to be uninstalled to make it airgapped or can you just keep the Bluetooth feature and never use it instead utilizing the QR code only to make airgapped?
@@babyjessicascheekbones5463 I bought it. what you do is you download the latest software on block stream website. You can choose from the latest software to uninstall blue tooth from the device. This stepped seemed to be needed to be plugged into the computer I couldn’t download the software via blue tooth. After that step you factory reset the jade wallet to be extra cautious then everything else is done via QR codes which makes it completely offline. If you have more questions I could answer but I would just check out blockstreams step by step guide for setting up. They have a UA-cam channel.
@@babyjessicascheekbones5463 in summary all said and done tho I am very happy with the purchase and feel secure with it. The device essentially just acts as a signer for outgoing transactions completely all offline via QR codes with the built in camera.
I would create a new wallet with the Jade as it'll generate seeds that have not touched a device that has been connected to the internet. If you just plug your Green Wallet seed into the Jade, it'll work... but, your keys were already on a "hot" device.
Bluetooth is not any more airgapped than USB. By that logic, WiFi is also "airgapped"... The only true airgapped way to use the Jade is with the QR codes and the camera.

A self-custodial lightning wallet would be the safest. I think, L-BTC would be the next safest as I believe a rug pull from blockstream (those behind the liquid network) is near zero. Then, non-custodial lightning wallets would be the third safest. Granted, I think there are some very great companies like Alby that are pretty safe; however, they could face government interference that would make them a little less safe.

Been in Bitcoin for 5 years now and I had no idea BTC liquid existed 😂 always learning! Great vid, thanks
Just set up my jade thanks for the video, I was confused between the new account button and the new wallet button at first.

You can install firmware that has the Bluetooth chip totally disabled. It's QR codes only then.

@@Hasan-jf7by I'm sorry I can't share links here. But if you Google for "bitcoin Jade firmware without bluetooth" you should be able to find it.
How to use with the QR? It needs to create a new wallet and choose the QR SeedPhrase ???

wait a minute!!!!! did you have an sql channel too?!?!?! thats kinda crazy!!!!!!!!
I have a tangem wallet with Bitcoin on it, How do I transfer it to Jade ?

My exact question, also. I don't consider a wallet with Bluetooth to be truly airgapped.

So I already have a green account with my seed phrase, would I just upload those keys or create a new wallet on the jade ?

Only QR is air gapped... BT is like connecting a cable to your other internet device...
Bluetooth is NOT air gap.... it is a wireless connection. your device is connected to the internet just like with the USB cable.
How can this be considered secure when it feeds you the 12 (24 words). Seems insecure right from the start.

Fyi it does not have a secure element, even according to their website
it has a virtual secure element so yeah not an actual chip ;)
What happened to you man you stop making video?!
Very simple device? Not in my experience
