Excellent video, exactly what I needed. I own crypto in two different places but didn't fully understand how the hardware wallet worked. I always thought if you lost or broke the wallet itself you were screwed, so I was reluctant to move any over into one. I always envisioned one of my labs chewing it up one day and myself crying over it...

Bitcoin is built to ensure it is scarce, costly to mine, secure, globally accessible, and free from endless printing. I would be more concerned about USD dropping in value because its trend is to never recover.

Does it transfer the value of your bitcoin (money) or the actual bitcoin itself and then shows the current dollar value of the bitcoin. What happens if you have 1 bitcoin and today the price is $10 per bitcoin but next week the price is $15 per bitcoin (example for discussion not current bitcoin price)?

Ledger was hacked not too long ago. The hackers got names, email, addresses, etc (not the coins), but then they contacted all the names - this is a security risk as they know where people live. I am wondering why you didn’t mention in your video - it’s good to be informed about the risks. Great video other than that!
How does this work when Bitcoin goes up? Like say it’s trading at 46,000 today but in a year it’s trading at 57,000? I understand how it works on an exchange but not when u get it from coin base
Another great tutorial Rose 👍🏼. It looks like you had to pay a $1.84 transaction fee to transfer $13.37. That’s about a 14% fee which seems pretty steep. Is the transaction fee a fixed dollar amount or based on the amount being transferred?
The transfer fee can vary depending on the exchange or the wallet. Many exchanges have a flat fee denominated in BTC. Many hardware wallets allow you to set your own fees. However the fees are paid to bitcoin miners who verify transactions. If you set the fee too low they will not be incentivised to perform your transaction. So if you set a higher fee your transaction will be performed quickly and a lower fee will cause your transaction to be performed more slowly. Hope this helps.

Exchanges can make it hard for new users with charts and order types etc. That's why I like Instacoins - use a card and buy it like you would anything else.

Hi Rose! Thanks for the video, it's very detailed and informative. I don't know what the difference is in terms of wallets. After I buy say nano S can I purchase say NFT's from that wallet or is that wallet only to store the money and am I still making money in that wallet or is it just sitting?

Ledger was hacked not too long ago. The hackers got names, email, addresses, etc (not the coins), but then they contacted all the names - this is a security risk as they know where people live. I am wondering why you didn’t mention in your video - it’s good to be informed about the risks. Great video other than that!

Another great tutorial Rose 👍🏼. It looks like you had to pay a $1.84 transaction fee to transfer $13.37. That’s about a 14% fee which seems pretty steep. Is the transaction fee a fixed dollar amount or based on the amount being transferred?
The transfer fee can vary depending on the exchange or the wallet. Many exchanges have a flat fee denominated in BTC. Many hardware wallets allow you to set your own fees. However the fees are paid to bitcoin miners who verify transactions. If you set the fee too low they will not be incentivised to perform your transaction. So if you set a higher fee your transaction will be performed quickly and a lower fee will cause your transaction to be performed more slowly. Hope this helps.

By the way, does the transaction comission (fee) of 14% aprox of the transfer valeu is always that high or it just was at this leevel due to the saturation??

Would be awesome if you make a video on centralized crypto banks like BlockFi that are paying interest to store your crypto for you which is an easier entry point for most people as they try to transition.

Rose, are there maintenance fees that LedgerNano charges users for holding an account for their interface? And same for these exchange websites?? Exchanges can make it hard for new users with charts and order types etc. That's why I like Instacoins - use a card and buy it like you would anything else.
