I'm from the Dominican Republic. A couple of years back I was hit by a motorcycle, and suffered a separated right shoulder. Three weeks later I had almost no mobility in the joint, and the orthopedist recommended an arthroscopy. I was unemployed and had no insurance, so I could't afford the surgery or the therapy sessions. Then I found you guys, and I was back to full mobility in a month. I wrote you a thank you note back then, but I wanted to reiterate and let you know how much your advice and help mean to people even in foreign countries. I'll alwas be grateful to you, Bob, and to you Brad! Stay positive, Bob, and know that you and Brad make the world a better place.
FYI - I was participating in a prayer chat meeting online today and someone had submitted Bob‘s name in regards to his ataxia. Just wanted Bob to know that thousands prayed for him! God bless!
Dear guys! I am physiotherapist as well and I got the license in lymphatic drainage (hopefully it is the same name in English!). They told us a further thing you can do is deep breathing (slowly and comfortable of course!!!) in the belly (stomach)! The effect is a drawing of the fluid to the next lymphatic nod! And there is no risc in slow conscious deep breathing! All the best for you 2 and especially lots of love and healing energy for „the tall one“!!! Thanks Brad for helping him!!! 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️☀️☀️☀️
Thank you so much for sharing the above video. Seems helpful. one reason why I have pedal oedema is because of my Neuro medicines. Need care taker help to make me lie down. Flex my limbs . Please share excercise for same.. Thank you so much
I’m so glad Bob is continuing to participate in his UA-cam channel even though he is dealing with Ataxia. You both are a blessing to so many! God bless you guys!❤️🙏🏻
I came to NY last Tuesday to visit family. Wed we walked 5 miles. Thurs we walked 4 miles. I am not used to walking more than 1 mile. I was in pain with my hips/back, and my legs/feet swelled. I didn't go anywhere the next 2 days and I elevated my legs/feet all night Thurs/Fri. The swelling went down very little and was back by the evening. Sat a.m. I found this video and moved my feet up and down, did the stretch for the shines, did the lymphatic massage, and still elevated my legs/feet all night. By Sun morning, it was all gone! Those 3 extra things were easy to do and worked immediately! I could feel the fluid leaving my feet. Thank you so much! I'll be using this in the future to keep myself from retaining fluid! And, today, I was telling my friend about it. She wanted the link bcz she has leg issues. Thank you!!! 😊❤️💖
During the early days of the pandemic, I developed severe edema in both feet over a few months. Talked with my trainer, and she had me do exercises like these. Also had me change my diet from eating out 6 days a week to one, and reducing my carbs to one meal per day (veggies/protein other two plus fresh fruit in between meals). The edema disappeared in about 2 weeks. Thanks for all your great recommendations on the channel!
Thanks for sharing your story. I'm 60, not overweight, and all of a sudden this week my feet, ankles, and legs started swelling badly every day. No injuries, no medical problems, eat mostly vegetables cooked at home, but I've been terribly sedentary since the start of pandemic and permanently work from home. It's a wakeup call all of a sudden to get "old people's feet". It's good to hear from your story maybe I can exercise mine away. I don't want to have eighty year-old feet at sixty.
@@timelston4260 I pray that works for you! Another change since I wrote this note is every 60 minutes of sitting down, I get up and do stretches, the 'chair' (yoga pose, you can you-tube), and some shoulder work. It's important to let the blood flow through the glutes, and overly sitting can contribute to the edema problem.
I’m another person dealing with swelling in my right leg, starting to take a water pill tomorrow, you two guys seem to cover just about any health concerns thanks, glad to see Bob with Brad, hang in there Bob!
My thoughts and prayers are with you Bob. I grew up with my Grandpa who had Ataxia. He didn’t let it slow him down much (we just weren’t allowed to ride in a car after a while). My uncle, Grandpa son also has it and my cousin, my Uncles daughter has been diagnosed too. Just keep going and kick it’s butt!
I always get swollen ankles in the heat and about twice a day I do the 'legs up the wall' process to drain the lymph (must be 20 mins). However, I wasn't doing the massage on the inner thighs beforehand, so I'll now do that too. I so appreciate your work, it's been really helpful in different ways over the years. Thank you both.
Another great and valuable video men! An added note from a person who sold compression socks at a Vascular Surgeon’s office: the compression sock should never come all the way up into the back of the bend of the knee. This cuts off circulation. You should always allow at least two finger widths from the bend of the back of knee and pinch and pull forward the sock at the toes to ensure there is room for toe movement. Thank you again for the helpful heel pumps, a valuable exercise when traveling on long trips.
So good to see Bob (as well as Brad) continuing to bring us helpful content. Definitely suffer from swollen ankles, as I fly a great deal. These exercises are great.
I came across your vids a couple months ago so I subscribed and saved the ones on edema. I just completed a set of the stretches and exercises and when I got up and put my orthotics slippers on… no joke..I walked right out of my shoes!!!! Thanks a million!! You guys are awesome!! Much love ❤️

Thanks SO much guys! Just got off 6wks non weight bearing from Tib/Fib break. Start outpatient pt and my ankle is so swelled I’m worried how this next phase will go. These are simple enough for me to work on all throughout the day and evening.
Loved it. Being an ollld RN who worked labor and delivery for 25 years and myself having dependent edema, I usually suggest sleeping on your side with a pillow between your legs it has helped me, plus the pregnant 🤰🏻 is not allowed to lay on their backs. Somewhere out there is a massager that goes up to mid calf and that’s awesome. A beauty salon I used to go to had one. We could use before our appointments. Unfortunately she was almost always right on time so we didn’t to enjoy for long. 😕 Thanks guys. Love your videos!
I was already doing the thigh massage due to pain in the area. I will also start doing the elevation and ankle pumps. Than you, l am sure this will help alleviate the ankle edema.

@@sdeaglefeather you bet--dancing and yoga and hiking. I was on crutches for 8 weeks back then. Im about to turn 73-not standing still promis you that. Hahahaha
I tripped over my unbuttoned Mo-Mo yrs back, on uneven floors, owww! Better now/that was awful. An all-time fave is the warm coming non-fuzzy after sprain feeling, your personalized gift 🎁 from your ungrateful ankle you've taken everywhere with you!
I LOVE your videos! They have really helped me! I am glad you two are still getting these out as you navigate healing through ataxia. Sending you both good thoughts and prayers!
Best of luck with the Ataxia Bob (the tall one 😁). Sending positive vibes brother

You guys are an awesome team. Thank you for being living examples to us all. Love you both Bob & Brad.
Bob you are in my twice daily prayers....
Thanks guys. Love your videos!
Sending prayers and happy thoughts your way, think alot of you both,
Great way to do simple PT in the comfort of my home. Mahalos for sharing on the Tube!
Hang in there Bob. We are praying for you.
Thank You both Bob and Brad The World needs more people like you. I have faimily that does what you both do.

I was already doing the thigh massage due to pain in the area. I will also start doing the elevation and ankle pumps. Than you, l am sure this will help alleviate the ankle edema.
My thoughts and prayers are with Bob
I don’t have edema but I’m so addicted to Bob and Brad I stayed to the end 😲
