I’ve had my ttid Aero for a year now. And it’s been a full year of absolute hell. Knocks here and knocks there. £1500 into the gearbox, centre brake light, 3 sill repairs, tyre wear on the outside of nsf. It’s got a strange rev/surge on idle at startup but only when the outside temperature is above 16-17. The list goes on. It’s having a complete new ns sill next week as-well which is 1 million pounds. I’m hoping that once all of this is done i can get on with remapping and deleting the DPF/EGR etc. Apparently they go very well. Good luck with yours.
Nice car, looking forward to see more of it! I'm also thinking of buying a fairly cheap well maintained 2.8 V6 Aero. It only has the steering wheel on the wrong side..
Awesome car, lots of fun! Easy mods are automatic high beam and rear view camera. Still trying to figure out DAB 🤔 if you manage drive sense that would be excellent!
Have one in white. Less than 100k km on it. the 2.0t biopower tuned to 295 bhp. Still need new rims, fix the seatheating and manual shifting and install a gps. But then i'll have my dream car.
I suggest you do the led mod for the rear tails before the housing for the bulb melts. Power fokding mirrors are nice to have as well, flat bottom aero or insignia steering wheel too.
Great car! Good luck with the project and hope to see the car in a future SAAB UK car meet! Tip: try not to add so many floating transitions, it's a tad tiring :)
Fingers crossed for your project :) nowhere else apart from UK, maybe Ireland and the USA are ng95s so cheap. So, the rest of us have to wait. Even bad examples really go for over 6000€ in the EU. But at least we'll see what can be done about them :D and plan for our own later.
Yeah, but the insurance over here in the UK is absolute insane. So that's why they're so cheap. Plus Brits prefer the germans and think that these cars don't have parts available anymore...
@@siilias7345 they are cheap because the market for RHD cars is not infinite on the island, right? Where else would you sell it, to Japan? Not like used cars from richer countries of Europe going to all other eastern EU and even non-EU countries, so resell value is still quite high...
Maybe help other people out following the journey with links in the description of the items you have bought to return/ improvements of the ng 9-5 to its former glory It would be greatly appreciated
Beautiful car, looking forward to this series, especially the drl vid, looking to do add them to my Saab 95. Will you be fitting white (LED?) headlight bulbs as well? I want to do it, but I'm sure which bulbs to go for. Good luck
Hello! I was thinking about buying an automatic 9-5 NG Vector in Italy (TID 160hp) with supposedly 65243 miles (should be a bit more) since the odometer don’t work either. Do you think it’s a reliable car to drive for lots of miles everyday? Specially on motorways
Ah yes, it eats up the miles. The cabin is huge and the seats are comfortable with electrically adjustable lumbar support (although not as comfortable as the previous 9-5). The engine is very economical. The odometer is a quick fix if you have an MDI, or take it to an Open garage for them to update the BCM
@@SaabUnleashed as for passive safety, I crashed my previous 9-3 onto a loaded van at full speed and almost sent said van to the moon, I believe the 9-5 should be a tank on wheels right? Motorways are getting dangerous in my country due to idiotic drivers
Hi Guys, question i seen some of odometers have colourful display instead of green, do anyone know eps part number or if its possible to marry them in to car with green one?
Apparently it is possible. I have colour clocks waiting to do in mine as soon as I work out how to do it! It's not as simple as selecting an option via the MDI2 which is what I was hoping
To me this is still of the best looking sedans ever made wish Saab would still be alive today

I'm so grateful for this channel. Just curious what's your favorite Saab today in 2024?

Fun project, I will follow this from Sweden
Nice project car ! 9-5NG is a great looking car !

How do you add automtic high beam :)

I have videos on how to fix the seats and what navigation units are compatible. Hope they help
Just found this video, gonna be watching out for future vids on this saab project, subscribed so I don't miss any. :-) thanks for upload, Vinny.
Just subscribed, got the exact same car with exact same faults so will be definitely watching even down to mileage going off.
Absolutely love It

This car has power folding mirrors, a new wheel might be nice
Omg 2000 punds 😍😍😍
You can use the ng93 3rd brake light with a couple simple mods to it. My 10 aero had that issue when I bought it
Any more info on the mod? The cost of the kits for this make my eyes water
@@SaabUnleashed if you look on Saabcentral theres some info on it.

M8! I want a 95 NG. Looks the business.

I will of course in the relevant videos
Waiting for that odometer repair!! Know at least 2 cars with the same issue

I bought a 2004 9-5 about 6 weeks ago and have already spent nearly what the car cost on repairs... #SaabLife

Go for it!!! Such good cars. Our families vector TID is just about to hit 100,000 miles, but I'm sure it'll keep going for many, many years.

I have to agree, the back of it is so sexy. It has these beautiful curves. The front could use a bit work but it’s still beautiful. I love my ng9-5
the aero kit really helps with that but i can't find them OEM anywhere.
It is disgusting how cheap SAABs are in the UK. Here in Australia what you pay 2000 pounds for for say a 2007 93 we pay about 10 000 AUD.
