That volt meter is actually quite useful too. If you turn the key to 'on' but don't start the vehicle, the volts display will show you what the battery is outputting so you can check for a battery that may be getting close to replacement (anything under about 12.2V is considered weak), and if you start the vehicle then this will show what the _alternator_ is outputting so you can see if it's about to go out (less than about 12.6V). You can maybe catch an issue before it gets you stranded on the side of the road.
@@JustWasted3HoursHere I had the set of three so voltage, oil temp and oil pressure and having that extra information just helped with looking after and driving the car - not giving it beans until the oil had warmed up for example. Often cars now don’t even have a water temp gauge
@@nuttycommuter3718Back when I drove a gas powered car I found those gauges very useful indeed. Now I have an electric car (a 2018 Kia Soul EV+) and it always does a system check of everything including the 12V accessory battery on startup. Very useful because even EVs can have problems if the 12V goes bad!
These are awesome! Tough choice between the cup holder and voltmeter to replace the coin slot. I’d be all over a usb extension to clean up my aftermarket setup
I have the voltmeter and usb ports in mine. Also washer fluid cap in black. Super easy to install, really good quality. Postage was pretty quick to the UK also.
Awesome idea and implementation - NOW I'm free of the messing USB cables running all the place. One note though: on 2001 9-5 Aero, there's no "torx screw" to loosen up as mentioned in the video's 1st step. One needs to slide the "vent assembly" slightly up and over from the bottom till it comes loose of the retaining hinges. And then "wiggle" it slightly to have fully come off of the console to gain access to the back of it. Other than that, it's a great addition - highly appreciate and highly recommend!
I have a 2007 Australian spec 9-3 Aero with a CC2 Plus installed. A connected, dual USB socket insert for the blank switch position that's just to the right of the head unit space would be high on my must have list. I think that it's where the convertible has the switch for the rag top.
Hello, how did you retrofit Saab gravity sensors in order for the xenons auto-leveling to work? Is there a video that you made? I will really appreciate any instruction that you may have on that. Thanks!
Hello I got Saab 9-3 1.9 Aero 2010 Donner spare. Is my Saab 9-3 1.9 2007 I want upgrade xenons levelling . Can be all working if I well do swap ? Can help me please more information ℹ️ And do you need Tech2 coding. Let me know please
Thank you for your videos. I 'm looking for a head unit for a 2002 saab convertible. Apple car play with GPS and full steering functions. Can you direct me to which one of your videos works for this car. Thanks

Am looking to get a Saab 93 convertible 03-09 in petrol. Have you heard anything about the ECU frying in hot weather because its placed just above the engine ? A want to do a euro trip next year where the temperature can get 35-40 degrees. Apparently theres heat mats available to place under the ECU so it don't over heat ?
Me neither and I just arrived back from a 1600 mile (2574km) trip from Washington State to California and back running for hours at 80MPH (128KMH) with temps peaking at 105°F (41°C). Saabs are amazing. Not a drop of oil burned with 157,000 miles on the odometer and 31 MPG (13 km/liter.) I maintain it well and it has never let me down. Great gadget video! Amazing. We are so fortunate to have you bringing us so many ways to make our Saabs better! Seriously, you could be an enthusiast for any car, but you chose Saabs and we all benefit from that.
My ECU didn’t start to fail until I hit 328k miles/528k km. It started going into limp mode for no reason. I wouldn’t be concerned with the heat at all. It may fail, it may not. I’m almost at 16 years now with my Saab, take care of it and it will take care of you.
My 95 wagon in the US does not have a set screw. I’d hate to break my console. Any input from anyone who knows how the rear center console is attached??

the usb socket are fast charge ?
2 individual chargers inside all the "blanks" , and they support Qc.2.0 and 3.0 fastcharge
Hoping they bring out more products for the 9-3 NG
I swear this guy posts some of the best Saab content!

I had an old school voltmeter (made by VDO but Saab branded) on my 9000 and it was incredibly useful
@@nuttycommuter3718There are also ones that can plug into the cigarette lighter. Quite useful.

Seemingly the same steps to remove it on my 9-5 sedan from 99.
Well done guys, great job to preserve these legendary cars 😊
They are flipping brilliant, I would certainly be interested in the usb extension for my aftermarket Teyes CC2 +
So well thought out and executed Absolutely brilliant.
I've just shared this on the Facebook 'Saab nuts!' group.
Brilliant upgrades and I love the simplicity of fitting!

Excellent stuff
How do you pull of the rear vent/cigarette lighter module? It’s not clear in the video and I cannot get mine to budge.
Love it.
I would like parts to my Saab 9-5. 😍
How do you connect the other USB ports around the steering wheel? Where do the electrical connections go?
To the lighter socket on the dash
Nice features by the way. First and foremost, you need a new handbrake grip. 😅 Take a look at 5:50
Can I ask your top 5 cabin upgrades for a 07 9-3x please? Stereo n gadgets etc
Looked at website but no usb for a 9-3 2007. Is that right?
