Today we are making a dish we all love, vegan mofongo. Mofongo is made with fried green plantains that are then mashed with salt, garlic, oil and usually with some type of meat or seafood. We are making it vegan so we will substitute the meat or seafood with delish avocados!
This dish is heavy on the garlic, if you don’t like garlic that much I would suggest using less garlic cloves when making the garlic cilantro sauce.

Hi family! The mofongo looks really tasty. I would love to try this recipe now that I see how simple of ingredients are needed to make this. What type of mofongo do you normally order?

I don’t think this counts as mofongo once you put a broth in it? I thought that’s how they makes there’s in the DR. And they call it something different. Peace to our Dominican brothers and sisters.
You know I didn’t know that. I feel like broth is my secret weapon in all things that call for adding water. So I just thought I was a genius. LOL. I use broth in rice, stir-frys, etc.
