Love my Titan...I mainly upgraded (considered the $$ cost reasonable) due to being able to store some cargo to make money. The Aurora was a sweet little ship, but its only capacity for cargo was placing a few boxes randomly inside somewhere behind the cockpit...not ideal and would take HOURS to accumulate any income worth writing home about ^_^ Thanks for another good video..I may hold on to my Titan for a while.. while i ponder either an upgrade or adding to my fleet a medium sized cargo hauler.
I like these vids. Good job. I'd like to see your thoughts on how the Titan stacks up to the 325a seeing as its hardpoints are more the same, but with the 325 having a relatively hefty missile payload.

Thank you for the vidéo. I changed my avenger for a 300i, and... I still think the avenger is a better ship, for all the things you said. But the 300i is such a beautifull toy...
Stalker: Assuming those prison pods will be modular, I'd have 2 prison pods and a combination suit/gun locker on one side, while leaving the other side open to haul 4 SCU of cargo. That should still leave enough room to walk through the middle. And I think that would really balance the two ships out ... unless I can exchange one of the prison pods for a porta-potty ?
I like the 300i purely for the *Barry White - Baller-pimp* Interior. Avenger is all around superior it even has some compartmentilisation. An Avenger Assault shuttle should be made - with like 8 jump seats in the cargo hold, toilet, re-straint/ jail pod, weapons racks.
Thank you this was helpful to me, because even though I knew all of this information, going over it point by point in a side by side comparison helped me sort out my thoughts on both ships. My conclusion is that the 300 series is a good ship but its not for me and I do love the Avenger. EDIT: but ok I will admit to being jealous of the sunroof.
Thanks for the video, been looking around for ages for something like this.. In the end i did upgrade my Avenger Titan to a 315, ye.. just becoz i wanna try the 315 :P
@@ryxtan I'm only talking about the 300i Vs the Titan, the other varients don't compare. Otherwise it would be like asking what do you prefer, the 315p or the Warlock, lol...
I get the avenger technically offers more of a tactical advantage, but I just feel so claustrophobic and I hate being inside the ship so much that I ended up using the 300i, and It’s just more fun to use. I’ll accept having a size smaller nose cannon
One thing I noticed about the 300 series when I first tried out the original version when the arena first launched, so not sure if it is still applicable since I've not kept up with it, is that the main thruster is exposed in a rather unique way, and taking even a small amount of damage, especially from behind can cause the whole thing to literally fall off and leave you dead in the water. It looks like they redesigned the main thruster away from the single jet engine look to a more boxy and solid look, so I'm not sure if this is still a problem and would be interested in hearing from anyone who still has been flying them in combat in that regard.
Wish the Avenger had a dropship variant maybe in black. It always looked like a sleek drop shuttle to me and less of a fighter. Though you can still cram a strike team in back it should be fun when we can customize it.
You're much better at describing ships than my friends... When asked, they advised me to look for the space penguin and make my way up to the space penis. Yes... They were talking about the Titan and the Freelancer...
you can get the NOX and the Dragonfly onto the 315P's cargo ramp when you're in space, but there's a number of edge cases that are still involved with this that I'll be addressing in my next video.
I was looking to upgrade a 100 series ship i have, but am unsure whether to get a 315P or a Titan. Your video, though informative, doesn't help me too much, as the two ship lines are pretty close. I like the extra fuel tank and tractor beam in the 315P (plus toilet and sunroof), but i like the increased weapons, cargo capacity and tumbril ranger carrying capacity of the Titan. Damn.
Not sure what you decided but the 315 has 12 cargo units of storage vs the 8 on the titan and 300i. It also has a better jump drive and more fuel. You lose out on a weapon slot in the process. I Just upgraded my 300i to a 315p. Neither the 300 or Titan are great for combat anyhow so I opted for the increased utility.
Thank you so much for making this comparison. I've been wanting to see someone make a video pitting these two ships against each other ever since they've both been reworked and improved. I might disagree with you about the Ranger though. It might actually fit due to it being about the same height as a standard cargo container. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...
@@RobertSmith-yy5um You wouldn't try to close the cargo lift while you were still on the bike... nor should you unless you enjoy being crushed to death. Also, getting the Ranger under the ship shouldn't be a problem since you are able to walk underneath the 300 series. I was actually surprised that he was able to get a Greycat Buggy on the cargo lift in the video considering it is significantly taller than the Ranger. I guess we'll find out when the Ranger series becomes rideable.
Also, just a note.. The 300i has a lot of glitchy issues related to loading delivery boxes into that small cargo hold under the ship. Typicall you're lucky to get 1 box in there without issue 2 or more tends to cause a ton of issues and often can't even be done.
Oh, also since imo the most these ships will be used for starting out is delivery missions. It should be stated the avenger has a higher top speed which will help you get to where you're going.
I’m getting an rtx 3060 eventually. And I am so excited. And I also think I’m gonna get the avenger titan as a starter pack to start playing some Star citizen, but at the same time the 300i is so good for survi ability on long journeys and being able to keep you stocked up for ground combat.
its shields difference only, the 325a has much more missiles and the avenger titan a walked-on cargospace !!! the Avenger urgently needs more missiles... 4:09 but you may get a greycat buggy inside ;-)
Thank you for the vid. I'm new and about to create my account. Looking at the packages I think the Avenger Titan is what I will get for my startup ship, though I kind of wish the Origin 315P was available in a package. For now the Titan seems to be the ship most commonly recommended. You pointed out some great features that make my choice easier.
I've always recommended the Titan because it offers a lot of game play for the price. It's also a good starting point for new players to experience the world through........and of course if you don't like it or want another ship some time down the line, you can always melt it and apply the cost of that vessel to something else. It's kind of a win/win.
@@WookieeRage Honestly, if you're willing to purchase the loot and scoot package then I'd go with that. You're instantly upgrading to a medium sized ship, which means longer range, faster QT times, better weapons, and the choice to go solo or with a crew. It has a lot better cargo options and can carry bigger vehicles. Plus that package comes with a Dragonfly If I'm not mistaken.
@@lawofthewestgaming It does come with the Dragonfly. My other thought was to get the Avenger Titan and maybe a Tumbril Ranger for extravehicular activity for fun and function.
Thanks for the comparison, great job on both vehicles. Should help people decide on which way to lean when moving up the ship ladder. I have the Renegade and 350R, so i guess I chose both sides of the coin, if a bit shinier.
I picked the Titan Avenger, the ability to store Greycat or Dragonfly won it for me. But man the 300i is a beautiful ship, one of the best looking ships in the game
If I remember right the avenger can't take competition parts but the 300i can. there is also the high likelyhood that all origin ships will have better piping than any other maker, once that feature is in.
Avenger FTW! O tried running basic delivery missions in the 300 and it is essentially impossible to place a package on that tray and get it to stay. Ramp and a real cargo hold rules. Give me real gameplay over luxury visuals any day.
I think there is a chance the ranger will fit. It is barely above waist high on a person. And an SCU is 1.25 meters tall. Which is about Sternum height. We'll see.
I went right past the light freighters and onto the medium. MISC Freelancer gives me heavy Firefly vibes and I like that. If anyone needs me I'll be in my bunk.
Avenger is convenient for the solo play of various variety. The 300i is much better for the convenience of not stopping often which will be happening when food is a thing. I got myself a 325a to do bounty missions, for I already have a Freelancer for multi-purpose missions.
I plan on getting the 300i as a starter, and then buying the avenger titan with ingame creds. would be easier doing the vice versa but I really like the look of the 300i.
This was a ship that caught my eye and possibly would want to start with (pfft screw that wimpy mustang)- if it were modular. They are stand alone cause it is more profitable for them to sell separate variants and they are counting on people to buy the others prbably for a discounted price.. Otherwise, if they were to get rid of the separate versions of the ship, then a modular version would probably be twice the price. I guess I'll wait and see..
Has there been any word about the 315p's tractor beam? It seems like a wasted hardpoint on the ship period. IDK why you'd want it for an explorer. Even putting a directional scanner a la the terrapin seems like a better fit. Just a gun would be good too.
IDK if it is implemented already, but the smaller size of the 300i should make the same size shield slightly more powerful due to a smaller area to protect like Elite Dangerous works. A slightly faster, tankier ship would kind of balance it against the Titan combat-wise, but the increased range due to fuel tanks already might be enough of an advantage and role differentiation already
Law, a perfect comparison video, great job! I have always recommended the Avenger Titan over the 300i but that was pre-rework. Now they are truly a tough choice for a new player. It does come to personal choice of workhorse vs. luxury. Since I'm a fleet owner and not a single ship new player I own both an Avenger Stalker for bounty hunting and an Origin 315p for "pathfinding" or luxury touring. My 315p is now fully upgraded with the GT package but having the tractor beam means it only has 2 size 2 gimballed wing guns so it really loses out to a 300i or Titan in a dog fight. It does carry an extra 4 SCU in a second drop down cargo bay so it totals 12 SCU. I'm still wondering what sensor suite the 315p will get once exploration is viable as a career. The 315p has two competitors, the Anvil Terrapin and the Apoa Khartu-al, both of which cost far more and can't carry any cargo. I'd like to see a comparison done with the three of them some time.
If during customization if you can customize ground vehicles, and remove the roll bars of the greycat that should allow it to fit just barely into the 300i no? Looked like it was just the rollbars being the problem.
I kind of wonder if we will be able to fit Ranger into the Avenger Stalker. Would be pretty cool even if its a tight fit. TBH I dont want some of the "fits" most people do. I want it to be clean in and out if its not oh wells. Not that I own and avenger, hoping for a more medium sized bounty hunter ship, think cutlass.
And now some interesting mining facility planets with crazy robots roaming the mines and caves like in the game Descent II to fly in with these tiny freight haulers to collect the crystals and minerals, and this game will be PERFECT!

EDIT: but ok I will admit to being jealous of the sunroof.
is it called a "sun" roof? or a moon roof? or maybe a star roof,, no, no. :)
Thanks for the video, been looking around for ages for something like this.. In the end i did upgrade my Avenger Titan to a 315, ye.. just becoz i wanna try the 315 :P
Danny F.
How's she treating you?
I''d have the Avenger over the 300i in an instance... gotta say though, that sunroof on the Origin ship is SCHA-WEET!!!
Depends on what you want with it, really. I'd take a 325a into combat before a Titan, personally, but definitely prefer a Titan for cargo.
@@ryxtan I'm only talking about the 300i Vs the Titan, the other varients don't compare. Otherwise it would be like asking what do you prefer, the 315p or the Warlock, lol...
If they add sanitation updates then 300i but I prefer Titan
I get the avenger technically offers more of a tactical advantage, but I just feel so claustrophobic and I hate being inside the ship so much that I ended up using the 300i, and It’s just more fun to use. I’ll accept having a size smaller nose cannon
as a space fedex space delivery guy my choice is the avenger because its hangar actually works with packages
Will you do a video comparing the 325a and the Titan or Stalker? Could be interesting.
325a fully fixed omnisky loadout is a monster, chews ships at insane range like nothing :D
Excellent comparison video great work man!
The "sun roof" is what made me love the 300i... and ultimately buying it...
Love the Avenger! Need to get one.
Yes that fat ass of it gives me pelican dropship vibes. I cant wait for org wars. How you living development after 3 years. This is my 1st
I love my avenger. The 300i is cool looking inside and out, but I think its the load out that the avenger allows that makes me love it so much.
You're much better at describing ships than my friends...
When asked, they advised me to look for the space penguin and make my way up to the space penis.
Yes... They were talking about the Titan and the Freelancer...
You might be able to get a Nox in the cargo of the 300 if both are already flying in space. That would allow an angled approach.
Might work.
you can get the NOX and the Dragonfly onto the 315P's cargo ramp when you're in space, but there's a number of edge cases that are still involved with this that I'll be addressing in my next video.
How would you get in and out of the 300i, if you are not including the height of the rider?
@@RobertSmith-yy5um You wouldn't try to close the cargo lift while you were still on the bike... nor should you unless you enjoy being crushed to death. Also, getting the Ranger under the ship shouldn't be a problem since you are able to walk underneath the 300 series. I was actually surprised that he was able to get a Greycat Buggy on the cargo lift in the video considering it is significantly taller than the Ranger. I guess we'll find out when the Ranger series becomes rideable.
I just realised that the Titan looks like a Concorde that shrunk in the the wash.
With a little bit of STS Space Shuttle mixed in
The worst part about the titan is how much I love flying it compared to how boring it looks... It's just so nice to fly, but it looks so dull!
I bought the 325a in 2013 because I wanted a camper with the capability of decently defending itself. Its just perfect after the rework..
Same, and it look cool too :)
Excellent video m8 keep it up!
I’m getting an rtx 3060 eventually. And I am so excited. And I also think I’m gonna get the avenger titan as a starter pack to start playing some Star citizen, but at the same time the 300i is so good for survi ability on long journeys and being able to keep you stocked up for ground combat.
325a vs stalker? keep up the great work man!
its shields difference only, the 325a has much more missiles and the avenger titan a walked-on cargospace !!! the Avenger urgently needs more missiles...
4:09 but you may get a greycat buggy inside ;-)
Awesome video brother! I’ve really been loving my 325a but man.. kind of miss my titan haha might have to pick up another one!
"More of an act of violence, rather than an art form" sooo trueeee
; )
Nice balanced view my friend, great video as always
When I saw the 300i, I fell in love with it. I have to admit though, the Avenger has a better loadout.
The 300 is also as close to Princess Vespa's wedding gift than anything else, at least in white with the brown seat.
Thanks for this a great look at these ships.
@@lawofthewestgaming If I was willing to fork out for the Drake Loot and Scoot package, would you still think the Avenger Titan is the better choice?
Enjoyed your video today Law!
I picked the Titan Avenger, the ability to store Greycat or Dragonfly won it for me. But man the 300i is a beautiful ship, one of the best looking ships in the game
Very good job on the video. Keep up the good work!
If I remember right the avenger can't take competition parts but the 300i can. there is also the high likelyhood that all origin ships will have better piping than any other maker, once that feature is in.
This is gonna be my daily driver; the avenger titan. Makes a good multi role ship
Very well done; I want more like this.
Great comparison! ... I still can't choose 😑
I watched liked and subbed to everyone who posted a video on my birthday (plus I am following star cit) so it works.
Another excelent video, pretty informative ty again
Avenger FTW! O tried running basic delivery missions in the 300 and it is essentially impossible to place a package on that tray and get it to stay. Ramp and a real cargo hold rules. Give me real gameplay over luxury visuals any day.
I think there is a chance the ranger will fit. It is barely above waist high on a person. And an SCU is 1.25 meters tall. Which is about Sternum height.
We'll see.
Excelent review! Went to the 300i
I went right past the light freighters and onto the medium.
All hail the glorious space penguin!
I got the warbond holiday titan package for my birthday (new years eve) all I need now is a new pc to play it on.
If its a Penguin, Its a Winner! >=O though the 300i looks so sexy.
I hope we will be able to put 4 holding cells and 4 cargo crates into the Avenger, instead of either one or the other 🤔
You should be able to put people into crates with holes.
Great comparison and still a tough call if you had to pick one, IMO. I anticipate some tweaking of the Titan's interior by the time of SQ42 Beta.
I guess I'll wait and see..
this settles it. i will be buying a titan as my first ever ship!! currently using the loaner during the free fly and have been loving it
Excellent! I hope you get some good use out of it. o7
@@lawofthewestgaming thanks man!! Im sure i will!
Note the Squadron 42 slice had an Avenger that was either a Titan with a couple of Cells, or a Stalker, with some cells removed.
