I have this same truck , went with jl stealth box 2 tw3s 1000 watt amp for that 2 sets of c5 6 1/2 and 2 sets of c5 tweeters on a 6channel amp 600 watts this sounds is really great I think only focal could out do this sound go to crutchfield and get pricing for that most store will match it and install for reasonable pricemy setup was around 5 g you can get a really good sound for cheaper try to listen to some systems before spending so much !
Did the Bose system seem to over power the subs during the break in period. I have two skar VD 8s in a ported box under the rear seat of my 2017 Silverado ltz and I only have a day of playing them. But it seems as if there not doing shit. I’m powering them with a taramps 1200.1 running 2ohms. Did they noticeably get louder to over power the Bose sub?

Anthony Bernardino ya I would use a dremal to do that plus drill holes to make it weaker. But me I would take it off the seat instead of cutting up your truck that devalues the truck and dospleases baby owners if you ever wanna sell the truck. Never cut your permanent parts , good idea wrong end.

Definitely try to have them front facing. Shallow mounts are good, but lack some clarity. Also the size of the magnets on these DC subs are just as wide as the subs themselves. So that gives it better power handling by having full size subs.
I have 2 boxes that are basically the same as the one in his truck. Using one will need the seat to be raised a bit, and it sticks out an inch or two further. It will work though.
Well the bose amp is behind the passenger rear seat by the floor. We just got a LOC (Line Out Converter) and spliced into that amp. That is how we got 2 rcas from the stock bose system
Xanthium51 I've heard mixed feedback on drawing the signal for the LOC from the blue and gray amp output wires. I beard that that signal only delivers the lowest of lowest frequencies, which is cool for music like rap, but outside of that, I heard it will make the subs sound like the amp cut out. see anything like this on this truck?
That led strip makes the truck look like shyt bud ...also, those subs are under powered, you need a bigger alt, atleast a second battery...and a real 0 gauge wire running to the back ...
Thats a shitty box. I am surprised the doors shut. If you understand wavelengths, you would shut the doors and lower the front windows a couple of inches.

It came with bose. He kept it but he added the subs. The door speakers are bose and there is a bose sub in there somewhere. And the subs as well I would have just kept the bose It pounds enough
jack carlson Not like crazy but youll be surprised how loud 2 8s can get, my buddy has the same truck and i made a box for 2 soundqubed hds2 8s and you can hear him easily from 3 blocks away, also those trucks are very well insulated so they sound amazing when you put subs in there
One battery wont hurt without upgrading the alternator. I have a Jeep Commander stock alt with 3k amp for subs n 800 watt for mids/highs on 2 Kinetic blu 2400 batteries (one up front n one in back). Had set up for a few months n Its my daily driver ZERO ISSUES!! One day ill upgrade alt but i dont see a big need as of now.
I also have a 14 Malibu stock alt with 1500 rms amp n 800 for mids n highs on just one kinetic hc 2400 battery in back. My lights never dim even at full tilt n i have no issues with alt either

i can vouch, 4 JL W3v2 10" subs in my first chevy. The back seat was removed, upward firing ported custom enclosure that took up all the space. i can also vouch that your ears will go to shit :D

High low converter taped into the wires before entering the factory amp and remote wire to fuse box. Very easy install

IM Dynamixz theirs no sufficient space for a big woofer so the smaller the woofer the deeper the bass hits since the box is small, GOOGLE IT!

Thats not true of modern batteries. The old rubber battery cases would cause them to drain. The hard plastic case of today's batteries holds up fine.

That amp is just for the subs. I believe it's a ampere audio 1000.1 or 1200.1. There is a stock boze amp for the boze doors and dash speakers
