- XBOX USERS - it will appear as one device for you instead of two, this is normal. Current firmware is 1.1.0, so an update will be required before use (correct as of 20 April '22). There is an equivalent Turtle Beach Control Center app in the Xbox store too. This video shows unboxing and how to set up Turtle Beach's new VelocityOne Flight, by members of the dev team.

You must be a Turtle Beach fanboy or something. For the build quality, and use this isn't reasonably priced at all. The $150 Logitech yoke and throttles are better than this. If you're gonna spend $350+ on a yoke, go with Honeycomb. This shouldn't be more than $200, and that's a reach.

Hey! Very amazing Yoke and Throttle. The one problem I have (Not that major) is that the screen on the yoke is not very useful. Could you maybe update the firmware so it supports other functions, such as displaying flight instruments?

Xbox: To start the update, after getting into update mode, I had to select using button A on the Xbox controller. The TB button A would not respond. Very useful instructions BTW. Thanks!

Got mine today but not had time to set it up yet. I’m curious though, will there be a likelihood of being able to download profiles in the future? Some people spend a age getting stuff set up perfectly and it would be great if they could be shared amongst users? Cheers

So i can get my setup ready for Christmas day
I've installed the VOF this evening on the Xbox Series X, and I've started to use it with the aim to understand how it works. I have found that in default configuration, during the game, the button B1 does not show the control panel, I have to use the joypad. Instead in the configuration page the button works properly. I am making some errors or you confirm this trouble? Thanks in advanced...
The button B1 on Xbox in the default profile is assigned to 'Cursor Toggle', which should allow you to use POV 1 to move the cursor around when on Xbox. There should be further details on your 'Quick Flight Guide' poster supplied with the product. Let me know if you're still running into issues, hope this helps.
Having trouble fine tuning my settings, especially on short final. Any tips on how to set up the sensitivity settings on elevator and aileron axis to be smooth as can be?
Sensitivity settings can be accessed in Control Options, look for a blue button on the left
Hi, I’ve been following you for a few weeks as I brought my first gaming pc, downloaded msfs and after watching you videos the Velovity one. However after hours of frustration of trying to use the Velocity one with msfs, my power does it’s own thing and the sip part does nothing. Today I’ve seen on a chat that Velocity one is not compatible with msfs steam which I have. Sorry to ask but you are the expert, is there anything I can do or is there a patch, or have I brought the wrong version of msfs to use the velocity one, Appreciate any help me you can give me
Received mine earlier today and have spent ages trying to set up profiles and also couldn't understand why there was 2 Velocity One controllers. I've only just seen this video so I'll have to do it all again tomorrow.
I am disappointed with the "stiction" on the yoke, makes precise, mall adjustments difficult and IMO the 4 throttle levers do not have enough resistance. The trim wheel is excellent though.
The yoke stickiness straight out of the box will disappear within 20 hrs of use, the PDFE bearing is designed to get smoother the more you use it

I cannot get the Turtle Beach rudder pedals to work with the Velocity One on Xbox S.
They flight controls are amazing but I was curious on how I can connect rudder pedals to my velocity one on Xbox series X?
We're hoping to bring out our own rudder pedals later this year! In the meantime, if you already own rudder pedals, you can hook up both systems in parallel on PC, and bind the VelocityOne Flight to the primary flight controls, put the other brand yoke/stick out of the way, but use the rudder pedals as you would normally.

I’ve had it for several months now for use on series X and love it. Just wondering how much longer before the sip panel lights are updated to change while each option is activated instead of all just being a solid colour.
I don't understand why they released this yoke with such a failure, without working panel lights? it's unfckngbelievable.
@@Voltomess it’s not really a massive failure as the lights to light up but they don’t change colours or light up individually when you pick example parking brake or any other warning light. But I’ve messaged them about it and it has been up and running and figured out on their end they are just waiting for Microsoft and Asobo to open up stuff on their end to allow it to be on Xbox. Which will definitely be coming once WASM is available, then they can start to implement a ton of new stuff on Xbox

hi, how do I calibrate the yoke? on a full pull back it reaches not even 20%, at pushing 50% it is already over 100%. so currently it's not usable on my xbox series x. thanks!

@@TurtleBeachSimulation Oh fantastic, that's great to hear. Another thing I noticed, some feedback if you will. When using the elevator axis, I noticed that it has a bit of resistance, some stiffness which makes the movement slightly jittery. It's not buttery smooth as you'd like it to be, especially when giving fine inputs. Is this something you are aware of? Is there something I can do to fix this?
@@Aadilf1 Thanks for the feedback - This is due to the design of the PDFE bearing and yoke shaft coupling, it's designed to become smoother the more it's used - you should notice a significant difference when it's exercised more, as it's designed for high quality feel with longevity.
I did what you said..... Microsoft note on the PC to only use the blue usb-c to usb-c cable. What's that about?

I plug it into my regular xbox one and the controls work on the dashboard, but not being recognized in msfs via gamepass. V1 is updated and cant figure out why it wont work. I also plugged in a wired and wireless mouse with no success either. Could it be because i have the regular xbox? Any help please and thank you

So disappointed the Yoke is not visible in other games. Your spec sheet says that it would be able to be compatible with other simulators. I have no issue in configuring binding for the otger games. But the Yoke is not even detectable with many other games. Would be nicer if the Yoke and Quad were visible as 2 separate devices.

My throttle just stays in reverse thrust any ideas why

Hi Turtle Beach, my headset port isn't working on my yoke when connected to the PC. Can you get someone to look into this if this needs to be updated in firmware?

Mine worked great when i got it. used it twice now the rgb lights on the throttle quadrant dont light up at all, only a few of the buttons underneath light up. Any ideas?

Awesome, you must be excited! The first units will be shipped with the most up to date firmware so it shouldn't be necessary for you to to update straight out of the box. However, when there's a new update available, the Store has an app called Turtle Beach Control Center which is used for firmware updates.

ok this may be a really stupid question, but, you can select profiles on the mini LCD screen on the yoke. but you can also select profiles in MSFS. both say default, single prop, twin jet. do you need to do both? or are they supposed to link? or just the one in MSFS? can someone break down the thought behind this? thank you in advance! (just got my yoke a day ago)

When I hook mines up it flashes and won’t turn. How do I solve that?
Got mine today and checked for an update, which was required. I ran the Update and my Turtle Beach Control Center now says, that my VelocityOne is on the newest Firmware, but the Controler itself is stuck on "Update Mode"

@@TurtleBeachSimulation Thank you very much for your help, but my problem is already solved. I tried over and over again to restart the update, when suddenly the Control Center App prompted, that Firmwareversion "V" is installed on my yoke. I was than able to do the Update to Firmwareversion 1.0.4 which got stuck at 97% until my PC went into Powersaving Mode. After restarting the PC, the update was done and my Yoke works perfect!
Just got mine today. I’ve had nothing but trouble trying to set it up. Did exactly what this video says but, after maybe a second of my Xbox searching for a new firmware update, it goes to the screen that says my device is up to date. Never installs anything, the quadrant lights don’t come on, the indicator lights on the main panel never come on, the little screen on the yoke never shows that my input is an Xbox, and it never displays the firmware installed, like it does on every single video I’ve seen of someone setting this controller up. I’ve unplugged it, and plugged it back in. On the flight sim options page, where there should be the Velocity One a sac selectable controller, it’s not there. Just a second copy of my Xbox controller. Any ideas???

I've read comments in other reviews with Xbox users worried because you can't save personal settings on this device. Is it true that this issue currently exists for FS2020 users of Microsoft's console? Thank you!
Luckily that's not the case at all! All the buttons are customisable to be remapped exactly how you want them. The issue I think you're referring to is on Xbox only, currently MSFS doesn't have the capability to save sensitivity settings for the joystick axes. Looking forward, this will likely be fixed in a future MSFS update from Asobo. We're looking into it too to see if there's anything we can do in the meantime. PC users are unaffected by this, and it saves them as normal. Hope that helps clarify!

You can duplicate one of the profiles in Options > Control Options and assign each of the buttons to whichever controls you like, then save it as your own profile. Currently, none of the supplied profiles have a reversers button. We're waiting for further functionality in MSFS to look at the reverse detent on the throttle quadrant too. Hope this helps!

i update firmware now and it's stuck on 0% what to do now?(rudder pedals) i don't sure but updated version of the software broken, i think i had 1.0.1 already, and this showed 1.0.0 and i was stupid enough for start update... but i really don't sure any more... it's really long time i guess 10 minutes or so. still notthing - 0%... i close the software... updated version just broken for now 26/07/2024 i sure now i updated it first day to 1.0.1 new soft show 1.0.0(i restart it) and offers me 1.0.1... control center show v1.2.0.0
rudders themself works just perfect. just by some reason w11 see two same devices, so msfs does.
i restart pc, and now all looks like always, show 1.0.1 your device is up to date.... how this even possible? please look the software.... rudders just brilliant. i used twist from the end of 90x till 2014 ms precision pro+ i don't sure, but that was laser sensor unkillable stuff. then i use twist in x65f i guess after 3 weeks(ordered date 6jan/22 arrived next day(local shop in israel) or so i forgot about twist and stop twist it when fly lol... thank you. but watch that software, things like that are really scary

Just bought this thing did tried to do the update and now its a brick! Wow I wish I was able to enjoy my $350 purchase like everybody else... LOL Now what, Im just short $350 for a brick that never worked. Please tell me how I can get this brick out of update mode... It wont turn on. I got the the instuctions on how to fix it but I am not a C+++ computer programer to go through these steps. PLEASE HELP!

THIS PRODUCT IS A LEMON!! I have the same issue, bought brand new, they brick just by putting into update mode and ENVER gets out. I have fully read instructions before updating. Always using the original cable and software. Simply a brick and lemon product. Paying over $689 for yoke+rudder combo for this to happen 3 times and paying almost one hundred dollars to ship it out for a replacement. HOW DO THEY MAKE A PRODUCT THAT IS SO DELICATE IN THE UPDATE PROCESS???!?!?!?!?! WHY AFTER ALMOST 3 YEARS THIS PRODUCT IS STILL WITH THIS HARDWARE ISSUE?!?!?! I am brand new to MSFS and purchased your VOF to use with it. I can't even get through the first MSFS tutorial. None of the "button" references make sense or match reality or do what the tutorial says they will. It seems the tutorial may be only for those using a std Xbox controller?. I fear I've wasted a lot of money.
Hi Richard, yes, when it says 'button 8' for instance on the MSFS screen, it won't necessarily correspond to B8 on the VelocityOne Flight. This is because Xbox MSFS and PC MSFS have different numbering mechanisms, and we had to cover both to make it compatible. The tutorial is indeed designed for an Xbox controller as you rightly said. If you refer to your supplied Quick Flight Guide poster, there is a table of all the buttons and their PC/Xbox mappings, which should help. Once you're used to where the buttons are, you can use the supplied decals to label the buttons on the Throttle Quadrant to further assist, or create your own custom profile in flight sim based on one of our defaults, and label them as you like. Hope that helps!
@@TurtleBeachSimulation So, the buttons, etc., on the VOF will function as advertised on the guide poster when I'm finished with the tutorials and move to actual flight?
@@thedailylimerick3718 Yes, all buttons will work. To clarify using an example, on Xbox, MSFS's 'Button 32' is 'B4' on the VelocityOne Flight. So if you're using the Single Engine Prop profile, instead of the 'Default' profile like I showed in the video at minute 2:18, it will action the Parking Brake. During your tutorial flight, when it comes up with 'Press Button 32 to release parking brake' on the screen, press B4 on the VelocityOne Throttle quadrant, and the parking brake will release. All the buttons are laid out in a table on the QFG poster. You can also use the 'Park Brake' decal to stick onto your B4 throttle quadrant button to remind you. If you'd like to configure your own custom profile, there's a series of videos on our channel to help, I'll link it below.

ON THE VELOCITY ONE FLIGHT WHEN USING AN XBOX SERIES X THE Sip panel or status indicator panel doesn't seem to do anything as in if flaps are down or up the lights are always on same for flaps or stall warning or any other thing you care to have an indication for so how is this implemented on xbox series x please as ive tried all 3 settings on the yoke screen to no avail as yet or is it all just lit up for show??

Hi, yes it should! the profiles are designed with MSFS in mind, but the controller is designed to work like any other controller for other PC simulation software, and a number of USB enabled xbox games too. Further details available on our discord.gg/JMGjPcqMEj under FAQ :)
with version 1.1.0, my XBOX S MSFS sim OPTION does not list inputs from #41 thru #44. Since the MSFS does not recognize these inputs, I could not configure Throttle reverse detent function. I tried the instruction Turtle Beach posted (basically turn off XBOX, remove Velocity One, restart XBOX/MSFS, and reconnect Velocity One). I tried this a few times and still no inputs#41 thru #44 shown. My Velocity One FMS shows Firmware Version 1.1.0 I need help.
Why are there no Gear, Flap, or Cowl flap Actual switches. The real problem with all GA Flight Syms is there is no verbal communication with Tower/Approach controllers. There 3 phases of flight Aviate, Navigate, & Communicate. If you're on a controlled Field or in controlled Airspace you don't move without a Clearance from some controller. You would think with AI and Voice Recognition these Flight Syms would get with the real world.
Why doesn't the controller come with a full sized replica cockpit that's interchangeable with ALL known airliners and GA aircraft ? Actually re reading your post it makes absolutely no sense haha !

You did it wrong, I promise you. I thought I bricked mine but it was 100% user error. Something tells me you've figured that out by now.
During Update my Controller stucked in Update Mode and kept rebooting. When i push the Home-Button and (for Example) A-Button in the same Time, it goes back on normal Mode but it shows me Firmware version 0.0 and i can not use the Controller anymore. It is not reconised anymore by the Pc, until i kabel remove the USB Cable and put it back again. But when i do that, it is in Update Mod again. The Center Software reconise my Controller every Time and try to update, but it stucks and then it stops and shows me the Error-Message that the update did not work. Why has Turtle Beach not fixed that Problem? Is this a Hardware Problem of ther Memory and Controller-Chip in this Yooke?? Is my Controller now damaged? It still switch on and so but it does stay in Update mod without any Firmware (0.0)? What is wrong with this Crap? I payed about 300€ when i buyed this Controller directly from Turtle Beach and now it is finished and broken forever?????
THIS PRODUCT IS A LEMON!! I have the same issue, bought brand new, they brick just by putting into update mode and ENVER gets out. I have fully read instructions before updating. Always using the original cable and software. Simply a brick and lemon product. Paying over $689 for yoke+rudder combo for this to happen 3 times and paying almost one hundred dollars to ship it out for a replacement. HOW DO THEY MAKE A PRODUCT THAT IS SO DELICATE IN THE UPDATE PROCESS???!?!?!?!?! WHY AFTER ALMOST 3 YEARS THIS PRODUCT IS STILL WITH THIS HARDWARE ISSUE?!?!?! WHY ARE THEY STILL SHIPPING WITH FIRMWARE 1.1.0 INSTEAD OF UPDATING FIRMWARE TO 1.4 BEFORE SHIPPING?!?!?!? SO WE CAN GET IT BRICKED AT HOME!!?!?!?!?! UNFAIR TO PAY ALMOST $100 EACH TIME TO SHIP IT OUT!!!!!!
