Yo tengo la versión anterior a este 'Tone Collar' y ese va en la Tapa Inferior del pistón, no en la Caja o Camisa del Pistón. Y si dá un sonido un poco mas oscuro pero lo interesante es el cambio de sonido final, lo hace mas "Gordo" y tiene unameor respuesta, eso si, también agrega un poco mas de resistencia pero puede valer la pena por el sonido que "agrega". Va de gustos. Para los que tienen un sonido muy delgado, este Anillo puede dar mas 'gordura' a su sonido. El anillo debe de quedar bien justo en la tapa del tercer pistón pero sin quedar muy duro y se debe de engrasar el anillo para que no se pegue el anillo a la tapa del piston. Saludos.

Ok i ust purchased this tone collar for my ytr 6335g (poor man's Monette ) it did help .the trumpet plays easier on low volume, and slots slightly better on high notes but no difference on the first valve casing i dident notice a difference on nr1

Seems like a scam to me. Or maybe a crutch. Honestly all these gadgets are not necessary. Our sound should be controlled by or air and embouchure. We don't need all of this stuff to help us play better.
Lotlus A trumpet player can not control whether or not a trumpet will lose energy. It is not marketed to make you sound better, it is so it feels different. Wether or not it works, I do not know, but this trumpet player says it DOES work.
David William Gebhardt we are NOT Chet Baker if I can use something to aid in tone or any other small help I’ll take it ..... very expensive Monette or other high end trumpets are engineered to create better sounds than stock $1500.00 trumpets, those companies are using science no different than these bottom caps.
It is %100 a scam. Didn’t fit on mine. Didn’t fit on the nine trumpets a reviewer on Amazon had. It doesn’t work. I don’t think it works on any Bach trumpet which is a huge amount of what many trumpet players have.

@@amandas1270 The horn responds differently with the extra weight. I've used heavy valve caps. There is a pretty dramatic difference.
