@Spades2Toxic same, I bought the game when it was still in development and is a completely different game then the first one. I feel like this one is a bit underrated though, at least compared to how much attention the first game got.
That is what these games specialize in. It's gorgeous near the surfacez; go down three hundred meters or so and it's still gorgeous, but also pants-shittingly terrifying
Say whatever you like, but as far as I am concerned Subnautica & Subnautica Below Zero are legends. Every moment I spent with the game was a mix of terror and fun.
One thing I do in the base game is raid the aurora for everything good looking like the posters of the prawn suits, the keep calm posters and the miniature aurora. I think the luggage bag, and toy car is also from the aurora but I'm not sure.

In just 2 minutes they made me sympathize with a character I have never seen before. That's what makes these trailers, and more importantly, these games great. They way the dev team makes the characters so fun to grow with in a sense. From the start to the end of the game.
"God, then the link went down, and I didn't get the work into my boss on time and he just ripped me a new one, this day has just been the worst! How was your day Fred?" "...don't even get me started."

Dude I have watched every subnatica update video, all igp and anthomnia’s vids on BZ and I didn’t notice that until now. They even discussed you tripping balls and seeing it BREAK OUT OF THE ICE AND RUN AWAY
Yeah but didn’t they scrap that idea?
What if they actually make the frozen leviathan come alive
Fred's reaction to that squid shark is the biggest mood I've ever seen.
“Ohhh, my coffee!”
He was just like fuck live fuck everything
It was a good coffee 😑
Paradoxically this man has the skill and knowledge of someone on their first playthrough but the attitude of someone on their third or fourth. Imagine actually using a flare.
I use the flair, no need to worry about battery management, cheap to make, and a lot brighter than the flashlight
@@fluffypawninja7636 and the snow stalker leave you alone as long as you have a burning flare in your hand.
Holy shit, look at you gatekeeping flare-usage.
Give reasons not to use a flare
Oh and reasons to use a flare
plus you can throw flares making them handy when your not quiet sure whats far infront of you and you don't want to find out if it a reef back or a reaper in huntig mode.
Just finished the game in 21 hours, I almost cried, so damn beautiful game and satisfying ending. Hoping for the next Subnautica will come soon if they make one
Does Bart Togal make a return at least???
@@eden20111 no but maida does, bart died from the bacteria
@@w0mpyy25 yeah him and his father... just wonder how Maida was able to travel through the planet for that long. I mean except the play close to the sea emperor, all the planet was dead no ?
@@damien7639I believe not theres a PDA statement saying that the planet is dead, however it said quarantine. That could imply things get better with isolation of aliens and the planet, but also that other areas are affected. Ill have to relook the PDAs to see if there's a direct correlation.
@@sahebplays3589 if I remember correctly there is, the pda that spoke about the dead sea. They said that altera had to understand why there is only one place on the planet that is alive.
I understand that the little sea emperor will help but it seams pretty fast to have a New biome in the north pole
Don't be fooled by the cheery music, this game is scarier than most horror games I've seen.
Nah this game franchise isn't about scaring you its about horrifying you
@Spades2Toxic same, I bought the game when it was still in development and is a completely different game then the first one. I feel like this one is a bit underrated though, at least compared to how much attention the first game got.
2 words, ghost leviathan
Normal subnautica gave me freaking thalassophobia
correct
A damn real Subnautica, cute at first sight, then terrifying af
That is what these games specialize in. It's gorgeous near the surfacez; go down three hundred meters or so and it's still gorgeous, but also pants-shittingly terrifying
@James Maiolo wow you are a really cool individual. Watch out, we got a badass over here.
A squid shark is chewing on this dudes sea truck and he’s just like
Ffs you spilt my damn coffee.
They managed to capture the essence of what a normal player thinks in just a 2 minute trailer
Say whatever you like, but as far as I am concerned Subnautica & Subnautica Below Zero are legends. Every moment I spent with the game was a mix of terror and fun.
Not gonna lie, I'd love to see a Subnautica film with this animation style
That kitten poster is the only thing holdings the guy together
Same with all of us
and me
me finding the 2nd poster in sbz after playing the first game loving that poster made me joyful and i made a special spot in my base for it
One thing I do in the base game is raid the aurora for everything good looking like the posters of the prawn suits, the keep calm posters and the miniature aurora. I think the luggage bag, and toy car is also from the aurora but I'm not sure.
It would do the same to me.
2 years for this I think it is going to be worth it
Indeed it is
It absolutely will be
It definitely is.
It's been worth it? Been playing subnautica below zero for months now
@@elijahevo6859 I didnt want early access bugs to ruin my interpretation of the final game but im glad u liked it
I really wish we played as Fred. He’s the Ron Swanson of Subnautica.
Those visuals look worthy enough to be used to make an animated movie, as long as the workers behind steer clear of Disney.
@pida siouy Keep calm.
alteera is really comfortable with sending people onto planets to die
@oiuet souiu I wasn't talking about a specific person I was just making a quick joke and I don't really know the story

The beginning of the trailer actually happened to me lol. I was at the bottom of the lily pad area looking for the pilots base and was sitting in my sea truck looking up a guide when I saw that thing for the first time it attacked me I ran started repairing and a sea monkey took the damm tool lol
did you get attacked by a crashfish?
And almost get mauled by two snow stalkers?
And discover a frozen leviathan by falling down a hole?
while playing "nothing's gonna get in my way"?
We need 'Nothing's gonna get in my way' as a playable song in the full release.
Yea
150% agree
That last part at the end there is chilling.
I'll leave.
@@Koopkiris Yeah the door's right there, pal.
In-game and out, cause it’s ridiculous I can’t listen to it now.
How was your day Fred?"
"...don't even get me started."
Having played the game now, and having read Fred's diaries and comments here and there, he's now one of my favourite characters. He's kind, friendly, and very chill. And I figured I had to watch this video again, and... yeah, that's Fred. ;)
Love the Subnautica games.
0:48 props to that absolutely beautiful water simulation jesus christ that is smooth
it looks too real
You can also tell that the Sea-truck is hydrophobic by the way the water is unable to attach to it
@@yaboinachin7198 idk did you ever see a metal thing that has water attached on it?
@@otrebor1261 Yes. At the very least droplets would remain attached to the surface due to surface tension, or would just slide off slowly. Here the water just slides off with no resistance at all
@@yaboinachin7198 that or the animators got a lil lazy, but y'know the seatruck being hydrophobic could be canon too.

Edit: *NVM* I'm just dumb.
No.
We need a multiplayer mode
If they ever make another subnautica game plsssssss devs make it multiplayer
@@f1shyspace it’ll probably end up like fallout 76 tho. Because i don’t think this engine is built for multiplayer
This trailer encapsulates the Subnautica experience so greatly. Dread from the unknown. Feeling of hopelessness but determination when fighting the ocean. And most importantly reward for all this effort in a feeling of wonder.
It's hands down the best trailer they ever made imo.
i just realized, this is right before that one conversation log where Fred tells Sam about the leviathan he found
Love how Cinmatic this trailer is
They could possibly make an Animated movie out of this
THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING, this has such an amazing talent put behind it and I fully support even the smallest hint of a movie coming from this franchise.
Yea if they did end up making a Subnuatica movie and. it was based on the first game and it was a horror movie it would become an amazing movie
i've wanted subnautica movies for years. dont think its gonna happen but if unknown worlds keeps expanding, then maybe

You guys should totally add a jukebox to the seatruck. That would be epic to cruise around with some music. But at the same time I understand why you didnt do it for the sake of the environment feel but I love that yall put fan music made for the game into below zero. That was thoughtful and i thank you for that. I usually listen to fan music while playing so having a jukebox in the game so we can hear these awesome pieces of music is awesome.
