I'll never forget the feeling of beating Subnautica. Seeing and hearing all that was said and done.. felt pure adrenaline, eyes watered, covered in goosebumps. And when she said that last line and looked down at the frozen cap on 4546B... dude.. Best ending to a game ever.
I have to agree with you. I truly felt the same way. The Sea Emperor really marked me, and is one of the reasons i will prefer Subnautica 1 to Subnautica 2, even if i'm really grateful they made a sequel
@Bashteur the actual bombed. They literally changed the ENTIRE story at the last second. From beginning to end they changed a bunch of it. Like the rocket. It'd no longer a rocket, just a comms array. The fact that they removed the seamoth made me not wanna play it.
THAT WAS FREAKING EPIC!!! THOSE ASSETS LOOK LIKE THEY CAME RIGHT OUT OF THE GAME!!! seriously, this level of quality looks like something a professional studio would make! watching the engine turn on, the rocket launch, all the biomes, the seamoth cruising around, let me tell you if they ever make a movie or a TV show of Subnautica they better hire you! I feel like I need to commemorate you in some way because this is an absolutely incredible piece of work. Want me to build you a monument in Sector Zero? I'LL DO IT!
Where do the music and sound effects come from ? Did you make them yourself ? Did you find them online, royalty-free or paid for them ? Or did you ask/"hire" someone to make them for you ? (Not the ones taken from the subnautica games, of course. We all know where these come from.)
Bro this must have taken forever to make, and render, so damn underrated, Unkown worlds should hire you to work on cinematics because this is INCREDIBLE
Holy crap this was amazing! I played Subnautica for the first time years ago. I loved it so much that I still replay it every so often. This was so well made, so accurate, and still took its own approach without straying too much from the original plot. I love this animation, great work. I’m definitely subscribing after this.
What absolutely incredible animation, everything looks so crisp. Even the water splashes as you dived in looked phenomenal. It's an incredible tribute to the game, I'm just blown away by how amazing everything looks!
OMG THE IMPACT ON 3:34!!! You can really see how much you've improved on both the acting, modeling and the VFX, props to you and the team for making such a masterpiece!
Incredible, I’m glad to be here so early and witness the amazing level of detail made by you guys to replicate the world of subnautica so beautifully. Fantastic work!
This was the best indie short I've seen in a long time. It's even so much better as I'm a huge Subnatica fan and consider it one of the best games in existence. Really amazing, I'm basically left speechless!
A masterpiece. Incredible work guys ! I watched you from the Aurora France 2023 platform and this documentary base went straight to my PDA! Message of congratulation from an another survivor of 4546b
I've never seen anything so cinematic like this. The scenes were amazing and you made it realistic to events that happened in the game. This was amazing to watch!!
I want to say that this is absolutely mind-blowing, but mind-blowing isnt doing this justice. This is such a labor of love - such an immensely creative and awesome and cool movie, i fail to find words which are appropriate. Thank you so, so very much for sharing this with us - for working on this for such a long time and giving us what probably most of us have hoped to see one day, namely a movie / animation adaption of subnautica!
This is so beautiful. Massive respect for the shear amount of effort you put into making this. I love how its also set in a sort of alternate universe with a different storyline.
this is actually really, REALLY good. This is borderline TV/Movie level quality, man, amazing work. I would be incredibly surprised if you DIDN'T eventually get a job working on films and TV shows, or end up creating your own as a director / producer. This was fantastic.
this was so incredible!! made me fall in love with the game and it’s story all over again. you’re so talented and i hope you continue making films in the future 💗
This is such an amazing work, Subnautica is the game where I had the most feelings and watching this masterpiece of a film gave me back so much memories !
this was… wonderful, the detail, the lighting, the way that the enzyme touching scene had each cell with a bit of the bacterium on it was AMAZING! And all of that in such a short amount of time, I loved this, I want this to be a full blown film, I have to admit
DUDE, this is sooooo amazing. Keep up the amazing work. I wish I will one day be able to be as good as you are in making films. But damn those 3D objects must‘ve taken forever to sculpt and color. You definitely deserve more subscribers.
I love this and the film before. This is one is so cool, the first game's story with the visual of Below Zero, brilliant! Keep it up and Im sure I'll see more of this amazing content!
AMAZING VFX!!! I love your editing too, as well as your voice. I just think your storytelling could use some work. I know everyone says this, but "show, don't tell." Obviously I could never make ANYTHING like this, but please consider improving your writing if you want to do something like this project again. ONCE MORE, this is still absolutely insane for a fan film.
First off thanks for the encouragement! And yes I couldn’t agree more, I would’ve loved to reduce the narration however since it’s a fairly short film I needed to put a lot of things into context in such a short time. Haha script writing isn’t my strong suit, I focused the film based around pushing my limits visually. Thanks Mate!
@@DigitalDave and that is perfectly okay. When I played the game I was essentially creating my own narration and story in my head because storytelling always seemed secondary to the world they created. I think you captured this well with your strengths in visual effects. Not every plot point or mystery needs to be explained. You did an amazing job
Great job... but I’m confused. Did the aurora land in sector 0? Was it used again but got shot again? Is it a different aurora? Did the main area just get cold? Otherwise awesome effort look forward to more
Aaaaalriiight, let's just all agree on 1 thing - this video needs more attention. Its detailing is just on another level, it looks so good. Also I've seen a few comments from subnautica YTubers, and I'm very happy about it (even tho it's not my video)
Honestly, this proves that with the right people, decent budget and time a blockbuster Subnautica feature fil could be made at some point in the future. If anyone anywhere near as talented as the people that made this are behind it, we'd be in for a treat P.S this is way better than Paramount's Halo series that had a budget of over 80 million.

"You own approximately 20 trillion credits to the Alterra corporation"
"I decided to turn back."
This man just predicted the sequel to this film
What the hell did you do to thomas

Question. How is this so amazing.
I have a question: HOW ARE YOU SO GOOD AT THIS??
Would you ever think about printing and selling any of the 3D models used in these films?
Where do the music and sound effects come from ? Did you make them yourself ? Did you find them online, royalty-free or paid for them ? Or did you ask/"hire" someone to make them for you ?
(Not the ones taken from the subnautica games, of course. We all know where these come from.)
