These trailers show that Subnautica has some serious potential to be turned into a film
It's one of extremely few games that would actually work as a movie.
as the gameplay is just exploration, and not getting eaten by something the size of an average jumbo jet.
I mean, if Markiplier could do it for Iron Lung, surely JackSepticEye could do it for Subnaucious

In the second Subnautica trailer you showed, at start there is a running sequence, that i think is in the descending Aurora. It would be so epic, if it would be in game

@@Alsina_arnele I think what Dr. Albitros meant was that it was made to look like the evacuation of the Aurora as it descends. This _is_ from a _Gameplay_ trailer, not a cinematic trailer, after all. Thus it was made as a machinima rather than an animation.

At 5:11, did that leviathan just stare at Fred?! I know that in the game he doesn’t move, as well as his eyes, but at that very moment, that specific scene, just adds more horror, pressure, excitement and epic-ness to the moment and I love it!

@Balu27 Technically yes, it is in a hibernating state (not sure if its canon) because well the Kharaa bacterium needs blood to stay alive and *spoilers* when you cure it, I'm pretty aure the other Kharaa spores disappear which further show that the blood is still circulating
I can't remember as I just skipped that side storyline and it was tedious with the stupid pengling and I would have to just use an interactive map to find it all... even then the blizzards and constant cold with be so annoying that I'd give up

I really hope we get 4 Subnauticas in total. I hope the next one is a prequel with us playing as Bart, and the last one finishes the game with a sequel to below zero. I can’t wait
I would be okay with how ever many they wanna make, just as long as they get enough time to relax and enjoy making the game the way they intend, i don't want them to rush or be pressured by the community or betrayed.

@@efish3203 i dont think playing as the degasi crew would work since we know exactly what happened to them. we already know what the crater has in store for us, so idk where the story would come in. it would be cool seeing the reaper fight but besides that theres nothing for the game to do

I mean it literally showed him coughing in the trailer to show he was sick with the Kharaa bacterium, and then he faded away so he’s most likely dead
@@Aidansstuff_ Yeah, he's definitely dead. The base wouldn't have decayed otherwise. I think the only reason we didn't find the decayed base is because it was destroyed when the Aurora crashlanded. A piece of the Aurora broke away on the descent and annihilated it. It's likely where Wreck 2 is, as it's right next to the safe shallows and would be the ideal place to see the Aurora crash like it did in the trailer. It would also explain the corrupted PDA at that location, it contains the final final words of Bart but was damaged in the impact.

its the degasi that was shot down before the aurora the people with the bases on the island and purple musroom zone

i'm wondering if a 3rd game would even take place on the same planet. all that's really left is the void sea, so maybe we'd get to see what lies below in the deepest regions of the planet. i do hope we get to see what happens after below zero, though.
I mean, I highly doubt that on all of 4546B, besides the two locations we see, are the only inhabited, non-void seas. I can see 4546B getting at least 2 more games before new ideas get too difficult to come up with

I think the next game might not be "Subnautica" per se, since it won't be underwater based but will be on the precursor/architect planet

This game is truly magical to me. I typically have a pretty jittery sense of ADHD, and I typically can’t sit still for extended periods of time doing any single thing unless I have to, like for work or college, or I want to. I’ll fire up this game, then next thing I know, Steam is telling me my current session is at 342 minutes.
Below Zero has such a good tone. Looking forward to the 3rd game!

When we see Bart's base it looks like it is in another safe shallow biome and we can see that in the trailer the Aurora looks like it landed on top of Bart's base and the crash zone actually has some piled up sand making some land so now we can conclude that the sand on the sides of the Aurora were from that demolished safe shallow biome.

If that base were there, we should've seen it in the Safe Shallows by now.
There is a corrupted PDA by the crash site that's Paul's log. Best guess is that the crash site was part of the shallows and maybe, because of all the reapers near the wreck, a second dune biome till aurora made impact with the sea floor and wiped out almost all the flora and fauna in the vicinity
but wasnt it in the crash zone and got buried by the aurora

One of the things I wish they would have got right is the scaling. The creaures feel so small in-game
It's actually because of the weird fov, they are actually scaled really big but our fov make us see fish bowl-ish

Just to make sure I’m not crazy the person talking in the first one is the guy who built the bases on the rendezvous island among other things and not the main character right

Wait a second. So the Degasi base was built on the surface? And what, when Aurora crashed, the mushroom caves were created?
Nonono. So they originally lived on the island. But conditions were worsening and materials dissipating so they went yo jellyshroom. Then they got sick akd wanted to go deeper to find a potential cure. Then they all had a fight. And Bart swam to the surface suspecting his dad and Margaret dead. Then he built his final base in the shallows where the aurora crashed onto it long after his death. There's a great video going over it
