- After a comment on this Tuesday's video, "Why are you so slow at panning?" I decided to find some old footage showing how fast I can be if need. I'm not sure if the person was trying to be funny or trying to be insulting. But I don't think they actually wanted to know.

10.72 is an excellent demonstration of just how heavy gold is in even in turbulent waters.
I didn't find 11 minutes was long to fill and sort and pan. You're not there to race, it's a fun activity, there's no rush. I also never realized there were speed panning competitions. Dan's teaching me stuff even when hes not teaching.
Proof that sometimes even a blind squirrel finds a nut. Great episode, Dan.

Speed panning sounds like something that "corporate bean counter" would come up with to increase productivity. would probably lead to decreased production and increased stress! I would continue doing what you have been doing it seems to work for you. I'm subscribed Cheers from the desert SW USA!

Panning is so effective. It's still useful on larger scales than what Dan does. A shaker table is just an automated type of gold pan.
Love the blindfolded game. Our 4x4 club used to do a blindfolded obstacle course. Driver was blind folded and the passenger directed and it was for time! Two top times then switched rigs and went for the gold. Good times but stay out of the way!😅

Dan last weeks video was cool. You filmed on Dec 21 and so did I. Then both your video and my video came out on the same day. Your inspiration has been quite a bit first I got out to pan in late December and I am near a full year of producing weekly content on UA-cam. Thanx for what you do keep up the good work. Maggie's birthday is January 15 and I got her a Garet pan, shirt and some dirt to pan out. Her meeting you this summer was a great experience. Hope to get to Kamloops for spring break with the kids to do some pillaging at Tranquille creek.

Question for you Dan. I noticed in many channel's that people call it quits when winter rolls around. Is it possible or practical to break up the rocks , load them on to a dump truck then bring them into a heated

I love watching your videos, i live in New Zealand, my brother, a firefighter in BC and my mum all watch you and think you're awesome.
My brother has even panned in some of the same areas as you ( with no luck) so the fact that you go in to these areas and find gold just goes to show how good you are.
