I have to say, i really love seeing your vids with you and the wife. You two are always up to shenanigans together, and you can tell you both love each other VERY much.
It's great to see you and Dana out and about together panning. I have seen her when she helps you collect the ocean picture stone and a few other collecting rocks, but never panning. You really should make more of an effort to take her with you whenever she wants to go. Life is too short to not be spending every second you can with the love of your life.
a few buckets of water and an aquarium water filter could help save trips down to the water. Keeps a clear water supply for panning. plus you would never have to worry about dumping a pan over if you fall. would save time as well.
You're a great man Dan. Unlike so much on UA-cam, what you present to the viewers is politics free, anger free, hate free..... Just pure fun and relaxation. Nature does that to a person. 👍
Yes with all that vacuuming experience poor Dan we know what your going to be doing! 😑 this coming winter. Or you can take the family on an awasome rock trip. Nice to see you going to SaraGordo too.
Vacuuming is the way to go. Now that Dayna knows how good you are at vacuuming; I'm guessing that she can now have you vacuuming at home. You two are a beautiful couple.
I used to be a housekeeper at a jewelry store. Sales were always dropping small stones. I would vac the go thur dirt by panning. Owner told me i could have em. Only sample size . Made me some beautiful rings
Hey Dan! Wonderful times it seems... What about having a charger on a small generator halfway up the hill? Or whatever, enough not to run out of bat... and not so much to have to lug it too far?? CHOO CHOO!!
I’m not sure why you are not a host of a show on some Canadian outdoor or science channel, besides UA-cam. You have a great personality and really enjoy the videos. A little humor, education in minerals and a pretty lady? Great video
Yes, blame Canada for the cold lmfao. I love watching you Ryan. Living in Southern Ontario, you help me balance local forecasts against other factors from south-of-the-border. I trust you for my area more than I do the forecast from anywhere in Canada.
Dan & Dayna! My partner Alia and I had a staycation this week and spent a day panning along a tributary of the Potomac River (where there is historic gold mining). We did find a lot of specs of gold, but our weigh-in was 0.000g. Fly poop just doesn't add up. Glad you had a more substantive day together! 🙂
Great shot @26:12 with the fish swimming right by your pan. I guess they can handle the silt pretty well. Or it's worth the risk to get famous on the Dan Hurd Show!
I like the videos with the wife. She should come more often. If she enjoys finding gold then she fits right in. Awsome video brother thanks for sharing
Hello Dan & Dayna Very nice to see the two of you out enjoying nature and being able to spend some time together. Dan when you showed how low the river had dropped I was amazed. Then it made sense that fishermen would be on the water. The low water level tends to condense the fish population, thus better chances of catching the Big one. Any day you can take gold home is a good one in my book. Take Care
I've been a follower of yours Dan for a while now. I just suck at keeping my cell phones in one piece. So I have a new phone I picked up yesterday. So now, past accounts of mine are no longer active.
I've also got 5,250 grams of heavies . The gold is little tiny. Balls of gold that you can't see with the naked eye. I live in Manitou springs Colorado. I left north Georgia in may I do believe? I'm using primitive tools in primitive conditions. Pantyhose and home stereo speaker covers. I can't get this stuff separated? I'm been doing this everyday for the past 5 months Dan. I've yet to make one cent. It's all out of Cripple Creek gold ore. Have a wonderful evening Dan.
New member here. I am grateful for your support to my buddy Reg . I am new to your channel but hope to find somewhere to but some small to pucker nuggets for my project. I will scroll through and awesome work
well thank you for sharing the day trip with you and dana and she still a pan up on me lol work is a bite rough for a while i absolutely agree. thank you for sharing the gold and the day and the adventure and information.😂😂😂
DAN, I am an electrician in the states and I have to use my Milwaukee vacuum alot. Milwaukee makes a 6.0 high output battery that last longer. All thier batteries do different high output XC is the best. Forge is thier new line and they also make a 8.0 and 12.0. With you out in nature like that you new the extra battery. Thanks for all the great videos!
Once again a beautiful day a beautiful video and a beautiful couple living and working together. You two have more wealth in love than you’ll ever find in gold. It’s a wonderful thing to behold. You are very lucky folks. Thanks for sharing and inspiring. 🏁❤️
I thought you were Dayna's piece? Give Reg his gold back. Hey! I thought you were Dayna's flake? When I started watching I clicked the thumbs up to 620, by the end it clicked over 1K..Awesome work Dan. Unfortunately if there was a premier I missed it because of our lame time change. Ugh I wish they would leave the time alone. Great video as always....
Very nice sir going over and using the vacuum to get a nice little amount of gold and Dana getting a bit also thanks for sharing this with us six stars
I just ordered one of those Milwaukee 18-Volt vacs, along with a 'Nokta PulseDive' pinpointer and a couple other small items needed to get started finding some gold on the rivers and creeks coming off Mt. Hood here in western Oregon. At some point I'll buy a detector (probably the Fisher Labs Gold Bug Pro), but I need to find some *$GOLD$* first, and this purchase seems like a good place to start for a 'newbie'.
Dan, I’ve never before seen cleaner bedrock! You’re doing a tremendous job! Only about 20 billion acres to go. 🤣 Thank you I’ll be here all week! But seriously, I’m enjoying these nice long videos Dan, and I am glad you’re making these date videos with Dayna!
i use a bigger tub that is shallow and scoop out the tailings so i don't have to change water very often. easier to pan in a bigger tub and holds more water.
I love how that rock behind you seems to have a happy face at 24:19 in the time to the right just above the brim of your hat. It’s like even the rocks like you.
😁👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏🏻 Thank you for sharing date day with Dana at the Frasier. It was great seeing her again. I hope that in the future. The two of you can pan together, more frequently. Congratulations on the good finds. I don't know how old your vacuum is. Maybe newer vacuums, have longer lasting batteries?
Dan, Dan you've become the fastest prospector in history! Lol! One minute you're here, next minute there, but it's a great circle of characters your doing it all with.... hiking up & down still after that major setback a few years back....keep on taking it to the limit everyday we can, now get Jason to work on that prospectors beard! ⚒️🤙💪🤠
Yes, I would like to, but there are many reasons why I could not. One might be that I am so far south of you that logistics just might be an issue. Love the videos.
Dan, at 17:46 there looks like a piece of sponge gold with a piece of green "malachite?" or some such semiprecious stone that appears to be a part of it. I'm not even sure that it's sponge gold. My interpretation of sponge gold is gold that was collected with mercury and has had the mercury burned off. We find a lot of pieces of gold like that up in the Ochoco country in eastern Oregon. Not only has the Ochoco had quite a rush, but most of the Cinnabar in the late nineteenth century was mined out of the Ochoco. At least that's what that piece of gold looks like to me. However, I've been wrong quite often in my lifetime and quite probably am again.
Its funny that i commented as soon as I saw the sponge gold and at the end Dan mentions the same piece and confirms my suspicion. I love finding sponge gold, though it makes me sad because it shows really how much mercury is in our rivers. I'd love to find a cost effective way to rid the rivers of mercury. Gold panning just ain't gonna cut it. But props to snipers like Pauly who always grab what they see. Cheers
I actually always pan in a big cat litter tub. It's just the right size. The ancient glacial moraine I'm prospecting has no good streams near it, and the material is quite mineral-rich, so I take buckets of it home and pan it there, saving all the sorted sediments for gravel, garden soil, and potting soil.
@Dan Hurd, it's good to see the videos with your family. I love that you guys do different activities and adventures and share that with your kids. I wish more people did things like that with their families.
try making a panning tub from a blue plastic 55 gal. barrel. cut the bottom third of one to make a really good water tub. a hole saw will make hand holes if you want them.
Just after Dan starts to wash his last pan you can see three or four fish swim right by his pan! So cool.
I thought I saw fish
26:11 is the start of that shot. I noticed that too
I would not be able to go there without a fishing pole. Those were some nice size salmon.
Neat I didn't see that at first watch. They're nice sized ones
They were GOLD fish lol
I have to say, i really love seeing your vids with you and the wife. You two are always up to shenanigans together, and you can tell you both love each other VERY much.
It's great to see you and Dana out and about together panning. I have seen her when she helps you collect the ocean picture stone and a few other collecting rocks, but never panning.

You know it must be a blessed time when you get to spend with your wife with anything you do.
The real gold is Dana! Thank you for another video!
😁👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏🏻
Thank you, Dan, and Dana. I always ♥️ seeing Dana
Just another great Dan video. I love how your so happy.
Dana, maybe you should pour out some of Dan's gold on the carpets so he'll vacuum them then he can pan the dust to get his gold back.
Any time I want to pan with Dan, I just play his video while panning.
If you want a "what is love truly like" look at these amazing people together❤
Gold is beautiful in your country, always enjoying your videos brother 🎉🎉🎉
You're a great man Dan.
Unlike so much on UA-cam, what you present to the viewers is politics free, anger free, hate free..... Just pure fun and relaxation. Nature does that to a person. 👍
Nice Au indeed fam. Keep on having fun and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Yes with all that vacuuming experience poor Dan we know what your going to be doing! 😑 this coming winter. Or you can take the family on an awasome rock trip. Nice to see you going to SaraGordo too.
You and Dayna have such a lovely dynamic when she’s in your videos
Did you happen to see all the fish swim inches by you at 26:10 while you were panning?
Vacuuming is the way to go. Now that Dayna knows how good you are at vacuuming; I'm guessing that she can now have you vacuuming at home. You two are a beautiful couple.
I used to be a housekeeper at a jewelry store. Sales were always dropping small stones. I would vac the go thur dirt by panning. Owner told me i could have em. Only sample size . Made me some beautiful rings
What a great guest appearance !!
I will admit i have seen some ( a lot of Dan’s early video work and he has come a long long way.
well wife is the best looking gold panner i seen in a long time Daniana what a great wife un less it is pinner Polly
Hey Dan! Wonderful times it seems... What about having a charger on a small generator halfway up the hill? Or whatever, enough not to run out of bat... and not so much to have to lug it too far?? CHOO CHOO!!
Dayna is right. We'd all love to go panning with Dan.
Well done wifey. great work editing out the drivel lol. love the vids. need more GOLD !!!
Always good day when we get to watch Dan Hurd Prospect.
gold is sweet but my eye always goes to the garnets , so fascinating , the faces and the reflection, i love garnet
I’m not sure why you are not a host of a show on some Canadian outdoor or science channel, besides UA-cam. You have a great personality and really enjoy the videos. A little humor, education in minerals and a pretty lady? Great video
Oh, them little Nuggets . "Lots of Gold flakes". Excellent. Thank you for showing us how you pan.. Wife and all. Regards South Africa 🇿🇦.
Hello all . Did my own personal best last weekend with a haul of 1.59 grams out of 10 buckets so excited wish there was more summer left lol
At 26:12, last pan of the day. Some nice fish coming up close to you. Sweet!
Water so calm it seems like a lake, instead of a river.
Must be really peaceful!
Was going to say that one flake looks like platinum, glad you brought it up at the end.
Love the banter between you and dayna better than gold
Yes, blame Canada for the cold lmfao. I love watching you Ryan. Living in Southern Ontario, you help me balance local forecasts against other factors from south-of-the-border. I trust you for my area more than I do the forecast from anywhere in Canada.
Prayers up Mss. Hurd🙏☝️ I hope your knee gets better soon 😢 All God's good blessings to you and your family ❤
Hey Dan, you are getting nice pans, you should take your wife out more often, she is good luck!!
You and your wife are great Dan.!!! Getting some of your paydirt soon because I know I can trust you.!!!💯 I like Klesh as well. 😁👍
Thats so sweet of you. You treat your wife with so sweet.
Your wife must be good luck! You always seem to have the best days with her and the family around. It is also adorable!
Dan & Dayna! My partner Alia and I had a staycation this week and spent a day panning along a tributary of the Potomac River (where there is historic gold mining). Absolutely positively it's a good day when you are taking your finds home with you.! What a fabulous pan of gold.
I've been a follower of yours Dan for a while now. I just suck at keeping my cell phones in one piece. So I have a new phone I picked up yesterday. So now, past accounts of mine are no longer active.

She's absolutely right
I love the friendly giant reference. I also really enjoy your geology lesson of the day. Entertaining and informative.
Been watching you for a while now, I think this is the calmest I've ever seen the river.
New member here. I am grateful for your support to my buddy Reg . I am new to your channel but hope to find somewhere to but some small to pucker nuggets for my project. I will scroll through and awesome work
Looked like there was a little jade in that little nugget. That piece really stood out to me!! When you panned it
The one you said hadn’t been smashed yet.
I’d totally buy some of your ocean stone, I can’t afford any of the pieces I like tho.. typical
Dan, man of the mountain!
Nice shot of the big fish going by @ 26:10
Well this is wholesome, husband and wife gold panning.
I enjoy seeing Dayna with you!!!!
Thank you! 🤗
well thank you for sharing the day trip with you and dana and she still a pan up on me lol work is a bite rough for a while i absolutely agree. thank you for sharing the gold and the day and the adventure and information.😂😂😂
Love the vacuum.
Dredging disturbs the water, vacuuming doesn't. I think that's their only reasoning.
DAN, I am an electrician in the states and I have to use my Milwaukee vacuum alot. Milwaukee makes a 6.0 high output battery that last longer. Just a stunner location !! Worth going with or without gold
Geeat job Dan + Dana.
Dan Hurd you are living the dream.
You should use the floor attachment that comes with that for a quick once over before sweeping
Once again a beautiful day a beautiful video and a beautiful couple living and working together.
You two have more wealth in love than you’ll ever find in gold. It’s a wonderful thing to behold. You are very lucky folks. Thanks for sharing and inspiring. 🏁❤️

Greetings from the BIG SKY Nice lookin gold. I'm glad you have it.
Yea! A lovely Sunday video from Dan Hurd! Look forward to these every week!
i use a bigger tub that is shallow and scoop out the tailings so i don't have to change water very often. easier to pan in a bigger tub and holds more water.
Some really great shots of the river. Thanks Dan and Dana.

The content of a man's character.
Great way to start my Sunday thanks for vid Dan
Great trip and great gold😊😊
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
😁👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏🏻

I don’t know about anyone else, but you just too me along panning today! Thanks.
I love how much you Love Dayna
Looks like the two of you had a wonderful day prospecting and panning. Really enjoy the video
There's gold in thar hills. Stunning scenery.
Super video Dan. Dayana is definitely a STAR. Please have her on more of the videos. TYVM

Love Dayna keeping you honest 😂
Great seeing you spending your day with your wife!
You and Dayna Re real cute together. I like how you both are laughing.
Good to see Queen Hurd join you!
More videos with Dayna please. You 2 are really funny together
@Dan Hurd, it's good to see the videos with your family. I love that you guys do different activities and adventures and share that with your kids. I wish more people did things like that with their families.
I keep watching because I keep learning. The GLOTD is what keeps me tuning in!❤
Really enjoyed the video of you and your lovely wife Dana. You certainly married up.

great old school video of you and Dane panning, love you guys!
Dan, you not only have a wonderful family and a beautiful wife , even if she is an Oilers fan, you provide Great Content !!
Go Canucks ;)
I love the interactions between you two. Looks like such a beautiful spot to spend the day.
