@@FlourgoldWizards yes, and falling trees. There are videos of it. Santiam Canyon, around Detroit, Oregon. Lives lost. Around here, in the valley it looked like we were living on Mars...for weeks! The whole sky was red! It was aweful! An old restored mining camp named Jawbone Flats, a very old mining camp...was totally destroyed. Opal Creek mining district was one of the most beautiful old growth forrests on this planet...and now its gone. Makes my heart hurt to think about it. Spending my days up there on the Little North Fork River was my sanity. Now its all gone. Lots of other places to go in Oregon, but this one was the closest, where I spent my free time. I miss it. I will be able to go again, when they open it back up. But it will never be the same, as the forrest...is gone.
That is about what i get when i go out, it all adds up. We are down to panning mostly here in N.C unless you have a dredge and can get to the bigger rivers. Great video as always Jason!
After a Short break from prospecting (vacation and Covid-19) I'm going back out Wednesday to my favorite place. Leaving early 6:00 and quitting early 12:00 before it gets to 90 degrees. Some heavy rain and flooding may have some new material to dig and run through the trommel and Goldwell Sluice ..🤔🤠⛏️
OMG! back to the Krick? I thought that was long gone lol. 2 Wisconsin pickers! Nice. You used to look for one all season! I think someone is getting better and better as time goes on. Well done Sir!
You are making me want to prospect a lil in my yard. About 10 years ago my yard and basement flooded. A buddy stopped by with a two man auger and a 1 foot diameter bit. He bored 23 holes in my yard through the frost making 23 drains for the water to soak into the ground. That summer I cleared out the holes and filled them with 3” crushed rock to help prevent future flooding. In the process of diggin out and clearing out one hole in the front yard i saw something shiny in a shovel full of dirt that i threw into the trailer i was using to relocate the cleared sand. So i bent down to pick it up, and it was a sizable chunk of gold. I found a second one a few scoops later in the same hole. They both were about the size of a decent booger. Not a big one, but a decent one. Maybe about half a pepper corn. Anyway, i took some pics of them, put them in a ziplock baggie and put them away for safe keeping. Where, i cant fuckin remember but i still have the pics of them. Long story shorterish, If i was able to find 2 decent pieces while shoveling dirt there has got to be more right? Sadly a local mining company owns the mineral rights on my property. Ive been told that surface mining is legal, but i know nothing about that. One day tho, ima dig up my yard like a crazy person and cash the fuck out. There has got to be more. Anyway. Great stuff bud, if i keep watching your videos ima get the itch. Keep em comin.
Rigby definitely put you guys on the gold today for sure! Lots of flour and some Wisconsin pickers! That is a good day in my book! Thanks for taking us along brother 👍😎⛏️
I know that spot! I’ve been prospecting that creek for some new spots. I’ve got a few that I’m excited about but I can only did so much in one day. Musky fishing has cut into my prospecting time. Hope to run into you again sometime!
I would suggest buying a bag of paydirt(something with a known quantity of gold) and practice panning with it to build up your panning skills. Also gold pans are very cheap and any of them will work. The pans you see used in the videos are large production pans but I would recommend a smaller 10 inch pan for someone just starting out.

Too much? No chance..🤣🤣🤣
Looks like you classified up some beef sticks already. Almost as good as gold. I'm glad I finally got to see a video, I guess 42 years of PBR's caught up to me. I had fluid around my liver. I'm ok and at least I get to see you drink one. LOL. Rigby sure looked funny when you turned into a zombie. Nice one as always!
Take it easy and let me do the heavy lifting ( drinkin) 🍻🤣🤣✅✅
