- Always love checking out new spots on the Fraser River. This spot took some searching, but eventually found the hot spot, and had a great first day to the season gold panning along the Fraser river. Which included finding a literal pile of gold.

Sure you didn't find a lot of gold, and it wasn't the best day you have had on the river, but it was still a FINE day on the Fraser.

Ice was out on the lakes here, zero snow left on the ground, and spring had just sprung on the calendar...
Then mother nature dumped about 50cm of snow yesterday, and of course, my snowblower was acting funky after being fine all winter. 😂

Hard-core people like the nonstop gold panning....BUT the masses of people like the "adventure" of prospecting videos.
So it makes more sense for him to cater to the larger audience....

Every time I watch a Dan Hurd vid, I get the urge to fly to Canada and learn how to prospect. My bucket list has finding gold, digging for precious stones and opal prospecting on it, looks like Canada could potentially fix 2/3 in one trip 🤞

I had a question about the last area that produced the most gold in your pan. Do you that it might be that the area is not as accessible, thereby it is not "worked" as often? Just a thought....

Hey Dan, in October 2023 I lost a silver handmade earring on the upper Fraser near mount Robson while doing Swiftwater rescue. I doubt it’ll make it down to you but part of me hopes I’ll see it again in one of your videos. Haha big dreams but one can hope!
Please understand this is only my opinion ok.. You know your claim way better than anyone else around so I feel that others should not question your knowledge of what you are doing in your videos, but we do love the funny armchair prospector's knowledge of everything someone does wrong. Keep up the great job and providing knowledge for everyone else. Love your videos..

Dan, I watch everything you do. I just put my feet in a river yesterday. Yes there is still some ice but im in love with the search. I might find something one day if i keep searching. So I'm still broke but i got lots of fresh air.
