You've failed to mention that you can exploit the nav data method by buying a bunch of them. There's only so many distress signals that you can find. When you've found all of them - Fly to the crashed ship one. If its a crashed freighter, just move away. If it's an NPC, move away. If its a crashed ship with no NPC, claim it. And use a nav data again. The next spawn will always be another crashed ship as all other types have already been discovered.
Good video. The method I use is loading up on Navigation Data and buying a bunch of Distress Charts and using a simple trick to only spawn crashed ships with no NPCs that I can fix up. Start off on a planet you don't want to search on, we'll call it Planet A - and start using your distress charts. IIRC there are 5 possibilities - * Abandoned Building * Crashed Freighter * Observatory * Crashed Ship (no NPC) * Crashed Ship (with NPC) Each time you use a Distress Chart it will pick one at random and attempt to spawn it. If the one it chooses is already spawned with a marker up, then the attempt to use the chart will fail. Just keep trying to use the charts until you spawn markers for each possibility that you DON'T want, so keep trying until you spawn a marker for everything except a Crashed Ship (no NPC). The markers will be the same for Crashed Ships (with NPC) so do a slow fly over and check if anyone is alive and walking around near the ship. If you see an NPC, don't land, just fly away and leave the marker up. If it's abandoned, then land and check the ship and clear the marker. Once that's done, head to a different planet - Planet B. Planet A should have markers for everything except Crashed Ship with no NPC around. Now spam your remaining Distress Charts until they pop a Distress Signal on your current planet. You will fail to use it a bunch of times in a row, that's fine just keep trying until it works, and once it succeeds its a 100% chance of a Crashed Ship with no NPC every time, and it will be the only distress signal on your current planet as the other one will be on Planet A, so no confusion. Just jump from abandoned ship to abandoned ship until you find the one you're looking for. BONUS TIP - Build a base near Ancient Data Structures. They yield a bunch of Navigation Data and they respawn often. It's like having Nav Data fruits trees in your backyard, just pluck them anytime you need some, and you'll never run out.

Optimizing your map usage may sway your opinion of them. When you first start searching a planet spam your maps until you have two distress beacons, a crashed freighter, and I believe there are two more that show up. Fly to the first distress beacon and do a fly by. If there is an NPC at the crash site keep going without landing Fly to the other distress beacon with the claimable crashed ship. After you claim the ship every other map you use on that planet will be a claimable crashed ship as long as you don't interact with the other sites. The maps will never spawn multiples of the same type of site. This same technique can be used with other maps such as searching for multi tools. Also since the solar ships were added a lot of systems that you see solar ships in won't have exotic ships. The solar ships replaced existing ship models in the system, and it seems like often it was the exotics that got the axe.

The Peeps I know said is to use a signal booster in an airless planet. Coz the buildings are distress beacons and crashed freighters. You need to check different regions of the planet coz it sometimes doesn't find any building in some spots.
I wish they would just add a ship trader at the space station or a shipyard where you could either buy whatever ships are relevant to the region or change parts on your existing ships. Been wanting to actively find a crashed ship (hopefully a good one but just any tbh) without any guidance from signals/ nav data. And i always flew in 3rd person so its good to know you can find them in first person. I honestly never thought to check the radar. Gonna try using that now.
I think my favorite ship I have, aside from the Starbound Runner, is the Iron Vulture that was a reward from the Adrift Expedition. It's a pretty badass looking Hauler in my opinion. Looks like a cross between both a Pelican and a Hornet from the Halo games.
I would add that it's important to note, especially to newcomers - A, B, or even C-class ships are not only SUPER common, but they may even result in better supercharged slot locations than if you ever actually find a natural S-class of that same ship, at least for sentinel ships. For me it's cost less time AND money to trial upgrading handfuls of lower class ships I've found to end up with some "four square" or "T" supercharged slots, vs the time and energy it took to find the three natural S-class sentinel ships I've ever found (only one of which had even halfway decent sc slots). I fully understand that rush of finding the natural S-class, but sadly most of the time it's not even worth it lol
The best way to farm Sentinel ships is to disable sentinel tower on a planet and smash shitload of resonators to get echolocators, plus you can just pick up(or shoot) loot from sentinels since disabling tower technically kills them.
My game glitched out, and now my Starborn Runner is a sentinel ship. It still has the same class, slots and most equipment, but all the drives and shield have changed to sentinel gear.
It takes an insanely long time to find and S class as well can't currently upgrade the class. I got myself an A class one the other day and that'll be me sorted now 😂
I found out recently if you follow the point on the opposite side of the white line that shows you the planet name and resources, your chances of finding a trading outpost are reasonably good.
thanks for the info! how i got my two (so far). landed on a planet with a remote trading post (the ones with 7 landing spots) just as i got there i saw a S class ship take off. i went back the next night and sat waiting on and off for a couple of hours. it landed and i ran over and bought it 25 million. the second one i got was in another system. tooled around then went to the systems space station. sat the for an hour or so with no luck (i had no idea if there was an S class ship available). just as i went to sign off and go to bed, the ship landed directy in front of mine!!! paid 32 million for that one, which is now my main craft. i now just teleport around the stations for an hour or so. make sure to join explorers guild or whatever one is up in the r/h corner. they give suit upgrades, ship upgrades and multitool upgrades plus items to use/sell/improve faction etc. so while youre porting around you can upgrade your stuff for FREE and make money at the same time. :)
I keep finding the ugliest sentinel interceptors in existence. Seriously. If it has good wings, it's orange. If it's a nice color, it looks like a rectangular box, and or doesn't have wings at all If it has a nice color, and nice wings, then it inevitably has an unnecessarily fat backend. So, I'd really like to be able to salvage parts from Sentinel ships. Maybe one day.
I fully agree with you there xD. I recently found an amazing S-class Sentinel ship. Lovely shape too, incredible storage and technology space. But it's MINT GREEN ;-;
I once had an exotic spawn in the station, was too poor to buy it so I went to an outlaw station to get money, only to find TWO MORE exotics in the station at the same time and still being too poor to afford either... I have been hunting for any exotic since...
Sadly, if I am not mistaken, the outfit and staff were part of a previous Expedition which means you cannot get them anymore...unless HelloGames decide to implement a system or feature that allows you to replay past Expeditions. Usually, they drop an Expedition and then players usually have about 6 weeks to complete them and earn all the rewards for that Expedition. At the time of replying, the current Expedition is the Aquarius one that involves a bunch of fishing center stuff with the newly implemented fishing mechanic. Starting from scratch, I was able to complete the full Expedition in an afternoon across 8-10 hours (with breaks) so when the Expeditions do drop, they usually give players more than enough time to complete them and scoop up the exclusive rewards for doing them.
@@bloodwolfgaming9269 I think they do a period at the end of the year where each expedition that happened that year gets another week where you can play it! Not sure if the one with the staff was this year though. I took a break for a bit and only came back for the Liquidators expedition. I'd love to get my hands on that staff as well :D

Hi 👋 I just started playing & I’m a few missions into the game & found a crashed ship. I have to fix everything on it! Im curious can I sell it or sell the parts? 🤔 if I decide to keep it, can I transfer the working parts on my previous ship to this new one so I don’t have to fix all the parts? Also, will I lose my previous ship?
You will not lose your previous ship if you claim a crashed ship (just don't pick exchange, that will replace your ship with the broken one). Though you might have to search for it if you landed somewhere else and don't have enough fuel in the launch thrusters to summon it from the quick menu. You can fix just enough parts to make it able to fly (launch thrusters, pulse drive, and shield) and then sell it. It will fetch a lower price than if you fix everything but can be a good source of money especially at the start. You can also just leave it where it is. If you built a base or have a freighter you can always summon it there regardless of what state it is in and slowly repair it over time. Any technology (except the essentials that every hip has) can also be transferred to other ships once they are repaired. Or dismantled for materials.
@@ro-landocalrissian4633 That's unusual. Unless you already own 12 ships which is unlikely if you just started playing. I saw someone claim you have to own a freighter, but that is very definitely not true both according to my own experience and the wiki. I believe you can get this from the anomaly by doing special tasks and getting quicksilver then you can buy this at the quicksilver shop, hope this helps
Has the new update changed the method of getting the portal glyphs at all? I know you can no longer finding crashed S class and exotic ships using the distress beacon charts ( only A, B and C class ships now) It only makes sense that they’d make glyphs harder to get without doing either the Artemis quest or bumping into travellers on stations.
I personally feel like they made the travellers a little more rare, but that might just be my recent frustration of trying to get all the glyphs quickly. I haven't seen anything about the likelihoods changing. So for now the methods are the same as always
If only we could have more than 12 ships. It's painful to decide what to keep. Would love an option to have a base airfield and store ships. A field of landing pads and a huge collection.
I claimed a ship then flew old ship to space station but now I can't summon the one I claimed. I didn't repair it so now I can't summon it or locate it again. Any Ideas?
Let me guess, no Di hydrogen gel screwed you? Because you can only carry 20 in a stack, its the one that always runs out. The other way of getting stuck with a derelict ship is running out of space for it, and you don't want to exchange it for the ship your currently using, so.... In both cases, you need to drop a save beacon, otherwise you will NEVER find it, gone, forget it.
@@vaspar9871 I was under the impression you need lift off engines to be working and fueled? Some derelicts have it already working, possibly that is what happened?
Is it just me or is it impossible to find a solar ship with 3 of the long pointy turbines off the back. I find lots of wing mods, but the engine is a vector style, I've never been able to find one with all 3 mods (it looks like an N-1 starfighter from star wars)
You can repair just the necessary parts to fly them (launch thruster, pulse drive, and shield) and scrap them for parts you can sell for money (very useful early game), or scrap them for building pieces to make your own ship. The other option is to slowly repair them over time. You can summon broken ships at your base or in your freighter hangar
Man, I hope this new expedition terminal is a sign that they're making all expeditions replayable. The Normandy is a special case tho. Being a special crossover reward with a different major company, there are contracts and legalities involved that may prevent it from ever making a return.
Which ship in particular? If it's the Starborn Runner you'll need to do the Omega expedition whenever it is replayable. The rest go on Reddit at r/NMSCoordinateExchange and search for coordinates of a specific ship 😊

That’s why ppl get bored on games like this, they keep wanting for easy things going online for coordinates because they don’t want find it themselves . Them come to UA-cam and cry how boring the game is
You dont need to repair the crashed ships you may find on planets. Claim it then fly to the SPACE STATION (Not freighter) and call for the ship you claimed. All the tech should be repaired.
@@Dripbot_117 Yep. Claim the ship, turn around and jump in the ship you landed there with, fly up to the space station, and summon the ship you just claimed.
@@Dripbot_117 any quality salvage you get from a crashed ship is dependant on the class. If you salvage a B you'll get more credits than a C and a couple B class ship mods. Same as A and S. Friendly Heads Up: Dog fighting doesn't work in star field. Regardless of dodging or not moving at all, you will always take 3-6 hits. No fun in that play style, once you see it for yourself.

True but if you’re not in an outlaw system the sentinels will send ships after you and it’s much harder to get away from them in space than on ground.
I just boost up into space and fly in a straight line for a few seconds, then they stop chasing you.
It’s pretty easy to outrun them
I think my favorite ship I have, aside from the Starbound Runner, is the Iron Vulture that was a reward from the Adrift Expedition. It's a pretty badass looking Hauler in my opinion. Looks like a cross between both a Pelican and a Hornet from the Halo games.
2:00 how do you get that ship that you are flying?
Great video and info, thanks!
Thanks for making this video!!!!!
My game glitched out, and now my Starborn Runner is a sentinel ship. It still has the same class, slots and most equipment, but all the drives and shield have changed to sentinel gear.
I'm still trying to get the S class dreadnot
I've still got a c class dreadnought I only took it because it's the coolest one I've ever seen
@@byronprendeville9494 I personally think c class is plenty enough tbh
It takes an insanely long time to find and S class as well can't currently upgrade the class. I got myself an A class one the other day and that'll be me sorted now 😂
I have an S class capital ship and I don’t want to exchange it for a dreadnought even though their designs are so much cooler 😢
and here is me rocking a system freighter
I've found that the quickest way to get an S class ship is to build it. Outlaw systems can get you pretty nanite rich with the suspicious packets.
I found out recently if you follow the point on the opposite side of the white line that shows you the planet name and resources, your chances of finding a trading outpost are reasonably good.
I have that same yellow exotic at the beginning of the video.
Nice isn't it?!
Reddit is your friend, let's hunt them!
Thank you
thanks for the info! how i got my two (so far). landed on a planet with a remote trading post (the ones with 7 landing spots) just as i got there i saw a S class ship take off. i went back the next night and sat waiting on and off for a couple of hours. it landed and i ran over and bought it 25 million. the second one i got was in another system. tooled around then went to the systems space station. sat the for an hour or so with no luck (i had no idea if there was an S class ship available). just as i went to sign off and go to bed, the ship landed directy in front of mine!!! paid 32 million for that one, which is now my main craft. i now just teleport around the stations for an hour or so. make sure to join explorers guild or whatever one is up in the r/h corner. they give suit upgrades, ship upgrades and multitool upgrades plus items to use/sell/improve faction etc. so while youre porting around you can upgrade your stuff for FREE and make money at the same time.
I fully agree with you there xD. I recently found an amazing S-class Sentinel ship. Lovely shape too, incredible storage and technology space. But it's MINT GREEN ;-;
1:42, what’s the name of that ship?
I wanna know that too😢
I can't remember the name as of right now. But you can get a free gold version at the moment if you play on steam.
What ship were you flying at 2:36?
It's a long nosed fighter, they're not that uncommon to be fair. I dont have coordinates to it sadly
What ship is 1:41 can you tell me the name and class pls
That's the Starborn Runner, it's a reward for completing the omega expedition
I once had an exotic spawn in the station, was too poor to buy it so I went to an outlaw station to get money, only to find TWO MORE exotics in the station at the same time and still being too poor to afford either... I have been hunting for any exotic since...
"fairking way" 😂 im gonna use that 💪🏻
How do you start the quicksilver missions in No Man's Sky?
@@DennisLock-x8f they're at the Nexus on the anomaly 😊
Omfg your outfit and staff look amazing. My entire gaming existence revolves around fashion and I hope I am not disappointed with this game.
Nautilon is the best especially now we can land on water.
What I do to find crashed ships:
- Land in the planet of choice
- Spawn Freighter into the system
- Call down my Minotaur
- Use his Scan to look for Crashes
in 1:50 how do you get that ship?
Same question...
Has anybody found what is it?
@@Morghena that’s the problem, I don’t have the option for “claim” like everybody else, it just says “exchange”..do you know why that is? 🤔
@@ro-landocalrissian4633 That's unusual. Unless you already own 12 ships which is unlikely if you just started playing.
I saw someone claim you have to own a freighter, but that is very definitely not true both according to my own experience and the wiki. I wish I could be more helpful than "It might just be a bug" Also not quite sure what the options look like if there is an NPC nearby. I don't think I've ever encountered that situation outside a quest
white ship in thumbnail have a location? and is the one on the right from expedtions
@@itzfactionyt I don't have the location to that anymore annoyingly. And yeah the other one was a reward from the Omega expedition
what ship is this 01:40 ?
I think it's one of the expedition ships you get from finishing an expedition, like the most recent one that looks like the millenium falcon
How can I find where I once found a ship? I don't recall where I was it was early in my starting of this game and I was just learning things.
It'll be a struggle if you can't remember the system name or planet you found it on. You could see space stations you've visited and travel to them and then search from there
Hope you got your Normandy!
@@itzJuztThomas i sure did! 😊
I got my 2 exotic by planetary charts 😅👌
same, then found another exotic being piloted and now have him in my squadron. of them all i like my first one and the one that is my second hired squadmember
I'm searching for a fighter with the hard frame wings and no fin - just the base hard frame with no extra attachments. if anyone knows a system where I can find those wings (Euclid prefferably) I would love you forever
By any chance do you have the coordinates of the white ship that appears in your thumbnail?
I love my new A class dreadnaught, I named her the black sun, on account of when i made her surrender she blotted out all the suns in the system
Out of topic but can u get the false passport just one time from the Outlaw Mission or multiple times, i realy need to increase my Reputation
By the way thanks a lot for this helpfull video
So I was at the anomaly last night sitting around and someone gave me like 625 million units in random stuff. Got some moon cakes worth up to 32,000 units and there are 30 of them
Been playing a week your videos have been helpful thank you, but now I need more then 12 ship lots 😢😢😂😂
Glad you find them useful! Haha I know the feeling, I've got 12 as well
I need 120 ship slots!
I can't seem to get more than 9 ship slots - am I doing something wrong???
Hello 👋 new to the game just wanted to know what skin are you wearing love to get it thanks heaps
I believe you can get this from the anomaly by doing special tasks and getting quicksilver then you can buy this at the quicksilver shop, hope this helps
@Treejimmy thanks heaps really appreciate it
Has the new update changed the method of getting the portal glyphs at all?
I know you can no longer finding crashed S class and exotic ships using the distress beacon charts ( only A, B and C class ships now)
It only makes sense that they’d make glyphs harder to get without doing either the Artemis quest or bumping into travellers on stations.
A field of landing pads and a huge collection.
thank you
I followed a distress signal on a planet in an average economy system and got an S-exotic ship worth $41 million....did i get lucky?
Definitely! I'd be keeping that
Share it online maybe?
Location
You got insanely lucky. That’s crazy my man. Good for you!
Love this game.
I got mega rich off just deep space travel with all the traders.
@@mystikmind2005 What I had to do is return to my home base and then the I can summon any claimed ship without repairing anything.
@@vaspar9871 I was under the impression you need lift off engines to be working and fueled? Some derelicts have it already working, possibly that is what happened?
@@mystikmind2005 Not at your base or in the freighter hangar. You can summon broken ships there
how can I find or tell what is an outlaw system
It should show up as "Pirate controlled" on the map if you have a conflict scanner
Is it just me or is it impossible to find a solar ship with 3 of the long pointy turbines off the back. I find lots of wing mods, but the engine is a vector style, I've never been able to find one with all 3 mods (it looks like an N-1 starfighter from star wars)
All the ships I find are difficult to use since the materials required to repair the is not easily found.
My fear also, it came during one of many breaks from NMS so I need a return but I doubt they can do it on their own.
We need more space to store ship's.
How do you get that outfit
I want your ship... how do I get one?
Which ship in particular? If it's the Starborn Runner you'll need to do the Omega expedition whenever it is replayable. The rest go on Reddit at r/NMSCoordinateExchange and search for coordinates of a specific ship 😊
what is the first ships name??
Been searching for that exact sentinel ship with all 13 thrusters. Im talking about the still image of the video... Any one care to send glyphs for it... 😁
Poor systems have a 0% chance of an S-class unless it is guaranteed (Like a living ship or exotic)
I didn't see the Star wars speeder ship
SIMPLES
For some reason this game runs very bad on my pc ;( with 3080ti and AMD ...3D cpu it should be very nice ;(
The ship hunting is ridiculouse.. every damn time i look at a ship its ALWYAS more than i have i look the shhips are around 5 mil go get 5+ mil ships are way higher… its pissin me off
7:00 this is how i like to farm money, the ships on dissonant planets are always in perfect condition after the initial repair so you can easily get 100m by finding a few ships. you can find these planets by going in your galaxy map and going to galaxies labeled “dissonant”. then it’s pretty easy to farm
Where is the ship?Where are players supposed to do?What are players supposed to do?
That’s why ppl get bored on games like this, they keep wanting for easy things going online for coordinates because they don’t want find it themselves . Them come to UA-cam and cry how boring the game is
You dont need to repair the crashed ships you may find on planets. Claim it then fly to the SPACE STATION (Not freighter) and call for the ship you claimed. All the tech should be repaired.
Like right at the space station, you can summon the ships you find once you claim them n their fixed ?
@@Dripbot_117 Yep. Claim the ship, turn around and jump in the ship you landed there with, fly up to the space station, and summon the ship you just claimed.
@@umainebearman dope bro, what’s better salvage it to create a ship or just claim and fix them
@@Dripbot_117 any quality salvage you get from a crashed ship is dependant on the class. If you salvage a B you'll get more credits than a C and a couple B class ship mods. Same as A and S. More money from an A and S (obviously) and a couple mods of that class. If it a ship you don't like you can always salvage it for the credits if you need them.
Friendly Heads Up:
Dog fighting doesn't work in star field. Regardless of dodging or not moving at all, you will always take
3-6 hits. No fun in that play style, once you see it for yourself.

Me as a beginner: This ship's a$$
Game: So, you have chosen death.
Me: 💀💀💀
I looked everywhere for information or even a name for a certain exotic ship I kept seeing in the anomaly just to learn it’s impossible to get now. I thought this was a single player survival not a mmo.especially when the multiplayer breaks 99% of the game. Horrible horrible mindsets we’re involved in this game.
