@@l0lkil3rcz26 max out your freighters hyperdrive, you can get like 5000 light years+ per jump. Make sure your engines on all vehicles can reach Blue, Red and Green stars. Use your freighter to reach a system with a black hole (as close to the limit of its hyperdrive range as possible.) Launch in a single seat ship, enter black hole, once through, call freighter to you. This way you can get about 7 or 8K (or more) light years in the shortest amount of time. Save at space stations so you can return at a later time, then use stations teleporter to board freighter. Wash, rinse, repeat. This works for me, but perhaps a better way, but not for me.
@@l0lkil3rcz26- only reason I left Euclid was for the Steam achievements. So much to see and do in the first galaxy there’s really not much point moving on in my opinion.
Light Fissure planets are just as rare as other exotic biome planets and they are quite easy to find. Most effective method being: get a freighter, upgrade it's engines to tier 3, build a system scanner inside and start jumping to all nearest blue stars. Jump in, ping the scanner, observe your findings, go land on any peculiar planet. Very probably, you'll find many and many exotics of all types, since they have bigger chance to be generated in the blue star systems. Also, all exotic planets are riddled with Boundary Failures and it's not because "reasons", but because reason, explained in the game's lore.
Within the first 15minutes of playing this game a player found me struggling to survive, gifted me a squid ship fully loaded and showed me how to build a base. He became the best friend i ever made in the online world.
11:56 You can jetpack from one to the other, I’ve tried. Since the game can only fully load one planet at a time though, it sort of teleports you to the other one once you hit a certain barrier, and about 25% of the time you can clip under the map for a moment. Doesn’t damage you at all.
I haven't been leaving yellow system that much on my current main save, but back in my very first main save, I used to encounter planets of light and chromatic planets (ones that are mostly in greys as if they had a filter) a lot. I don't know if that's because I left yellow systems more often or if it was a product of the version of the game that I was playing with at the time, since it was years ago
It's because you left the yellow star system, correct. Blue systems, as example, have higher chance to spawn Light Fissure and other exotic biome planet types.
I remember finding my first squid ship... it was dark purple and was circling the minor habitat I was at. I took off so it could land, but it flew away and i spent the next hour following it through space while calling in my freighter hoping it would land. I eventually gave up. Later, I made a new save on a higher difficulty and wanted to play without ever spending units. A yellow squid ship parked next to me in the space station just a few days in. Guess who broke the rules to his own run XD
last time i logged in and played nms was few months after initial release...loved it then, but eventually moved on to other games and kinda forgot about it, with good memories of it... i had a huge sudden urge to just start from scratch yesterday: i am SO excited for all that content and updates that have been added in the last 5 years ❤️😍
I feel like if they added full customization, ship hunting would just completely die out, I think they should just let us recolor and add decals if we'd like to, like what they did with exocrafts and freighters
@scu11slayer that would be awesome. You'd still have shiphunting, but with the goal of searching for rare parts instead of hoping you come across the perfect ship.
Have to say, played no mans sky for 2 - 3 weeks and randomly found a squid ship. So I bought it. Then, several months later, I sold it because I needed a free ship slot. Afterwards I learnt that it was the rarest tipe of ship in no man's sky.
That planet you've shown is literally the type of planet where I set up my gold farm 4 years ago when I was a total noob lol. I also got a moving rock on that planet while mining ferrite dust to build more extractors
Robotic companion was actually my ever first companion I've gotten in the game. Shoutout to my good old Lampy boi. Best lad who could conquer any mountain and any valley. Truly a warrior.
I just got into the game a few days ago and stumbled upon an abandoned A tier solar ship that I’ve fixed up nearly all the way(still have 3 storage slots to unlock) and I still don’t know if I was like *supposed* to find it through the campaign or not
i just started playing this game, never played before, and I did come across a walking rock. I thought it was just a thing in the game. I didn't realize it was rare
I believe the Photonic core is now available on the new starship you get as a reward for doing the recent (Omega) expedition. There is also a way to duplicate that ship on a second save so you can pack it without removing it from your original save's starship reward.
Damn, I didn't know that robotic creatures are rare! I recently found a moon with 3 types of them, I even got one as a companion. Genuinely wouldn't have known without you. Edit: Correction it had 2 types.
Ive found exactly one squid ship in my 400+ hrs of playing and regret not getting it so much. Didnt save the coordinates either so I have no idea where i saw it
I don't know if it was a glitch or not, but I actually got the Atlas Stone as a reward for a mission from a pirate system yesterday. So perhaps it's still available rarely from them.
Bro that’s hilarious. You mentioned walking rocks. Just came back and started a new game after only playing on release. Saw a walking rock within the first planet right in front of my first base 😂
My friend tried convicing me gravitino orbs were super rare. Within the hour i landed on a planet and proceeded to collect 21 gravito orbs before i got bored of running fro sentinels.
You should update this as a few things have become less rare and some new things have become more rare. The photonix core is now available through the starborn runner, quad superchargers in a square and a dreadnought is rarest known, and double squid from the first ships to come in when entering or loading a new system, which has now been proven real is extremely rare. Also the rock boi and light planet is rare? I’ve seen 5 different planets with rock boi, with the surface usually being red grass and found 13 different planets with light.
Ok so I have a little over 70 hours of play and have already find a planet with 2 robotic "lifeforms". Got both as pets. I think it was called a shattered planet in Euclid. I also have the yellow squid ship and 2 of the royal ball ships{the red one with the tall fin on top and the blue one that looks like the white one you showed here. Also have the blue ball ship that doesn't have the pointy bit on the nose on another save}. But i did find something today that I think is rare. Found a Monolith that had a portal interface that took Atlantium and gave a b class multi-tool reminiscent of Dissonant stuff. Looks cool but not sure of the rarity.
Been playing NMS for about a month and a half and have discovered one of the light pillar planets that isnt in muted color and they are quite beautiful
Great vid and a nice set of examples for why NMS is the GOAT. Years and years of playing and I still see new things. I have 1400 hours in NMS, at least half of it spent at a station or outpost just shiphunting, as I run a ship catalog discord server. I have only found maybe 10 squids without deliberately seeking them out with coordinates. My prize of the collection is a grey squid. I also found a very very light blue one that looks white unless you put it next to an actual white ship. The walking rocks are fairly common in expeditions. I think Hello Games loosens up the RNG on them cus its always the first couple hours of an expedition that I see them... when players are sure to be mining rocks. I just saw one yesterday in the first 20 minutes of playing the Utopia Expedition Redux. And I have never seen a boulder 😂. Thats wild. I found colliding planets a while back, the gravity was all screwed up. When I got out my ship I was sliding up a mountain like a ghost was dragging me. 😂 I found a frozen infested planet with droid animals once, foolishly didnt build a base. I found an infested planet that was so thick it was hard to get around once too, like a jungle. I wish thick woods was a more common feature. The most rare bounday glitch planets are those with more than 1 animal on them. Its super rare. Usually its just the one creature that always comes with them. The most rare creature is the mushroom crab. Its exactly what it sounds like. A crab with a mushroom on its back. I have seen them once on a planet I already knew they lived on. I never found them organically. Its more common now... but you can find underwater land animals occasionally... swiming cows and an aquatic version of the Skrit looking whack-a-mole guys. There are the odd NMS 1.0 planets out there to find too, with pillars of resources, golf tee shaped mountains and other surreal features that were phased out by I forget which update... but there are a few still out there. White grass is fairly rare as well. A white paradise planet is my favorite type, they look so... paradise-y 😂. And there are secret systems near the core that are kinda hard to get to, may have even been patched out. Nothing really special about them other than you can't see them on the star map.
for the colliding planets, I've fallen into another planet thinking I'd just walk onto it (AS ONE WOULD EXPECT) but you just spawn underneath and then safely on the ground or in orbit and fall to your death
I didn't realize just how lucky I was when I played this game a long time ago. I got back into it and my old save had an S class royalty ship and matching S class royal multitool. The last time I played was just before the sentinal update I think because I had never seen any of the sentinal gear until I logged back on and saw dozens of them in the nexus along with the staff multitools.
The light planets don’t seem any rarer than the other exotics to me, I’ve found one each of the last two nights I’ve played even and I just logged out in a system with one. Having the near black and white chromatic light on one is a rare combination though.
In the over 2k hours and 4 years I've been playing, I've randomly come across a squid ship twice... and I come across robotic animals all the time, and most of the planets I've come across, has 2, and the walking rocks, I've seen them a few times (but WAY less than the robotic animals) and only 2 were as big as the one in your video, not to mention they weren't random "fauna" they were random from rocks I was using my multitool on, I also come across light planets quite a lot, but the hexagon planets I've only see once on my own
I really enjoy NMS and I have found that dumb luck shows up once in a while. After playing about a month after I started about a year ago, I was exploring a new system and stopped in at the space station to upgrade my starter Raza ship. While I was hanging around three green squids flew in at different times. I found that they were all different because, while all S class, their stats were not the same when I scanned them. I didn't have the funds to buy one so my loss. Then months went by and in the last Expedition where we started on a freighter, and about half way through the Expedition, a bright orange squid flew into my freighter. I grabbed it. As for the other rare things, after 1,950 hours I got so sick of being surprised by living rocks that I chased the last one down and eliminated it. I usually find electronic fauna on harsh planets and have one on every save because they are fast and great climbers on mountanous terrains. Haven't come across collided planets and I am not interested. I like to find planets with differnet colored volcanoes and build bases on top of them to watch the flowing lava, feel the explosions, and I try to have a view of two or three other volcanoes as well. Just my preference.
Well well well.. what was that about ship customization? 🤔 you highly doubt it?? 🤔 hahaha sorry its the second vedio this happens today. Also sorry to hear about the squid ship, i heard about them when i started playing, i went on a mission to find my own... got an orange one after around 20h of hunting😅 was beautiful
People can still enjoy the game. What is this "I have X hours more than you in X days" ? Seriously touch grass, live your life and take a bath more than 1 time per week.
Well you talk it up like it's a big deal... doesn't make it rare, just because you haven't seen it in your >limited< amount of game play. @@BunkzGaming
I got the game again recently to see how everything turned out after release, I started 2 days ago and found 3 walking rocks and the main story took me to a world of light, I rly hope my luck keeps up like that...
I found my blue squiddy in a wealthy system years ago, I was jumping to a portal to get a red one I found on reddit and found this one on the way. I have yet to find robotic wildlife, I will 100% build a base when I do. Literally the first planet I started on had the living rocks lol, it scared the shit out of me the first time it jumped out since I was really close to it lmao. I've been lucky enough to come across several colliding planets, it's definitely crazy looking from the surface. I have never seen that multitool, I must have it, I main the alien multitool I found at one of those little outposts. I only have 400 hours, but there are long stents where I didn't play (other games do exist 🤣)
so, the coliding planets, collision will only be enabled on the planet you landed on. however if you summon your freighter, you can walk off of your freighter onto the planet
1. Until your comment I didn't know who that was 2. Some of these things are reasonably well known to be the rarest thing in the game 3. That video doesn't mention a bunch of the stuff on this list 🤷
Since this video was made, they've added a way to get the Photonix Core, if you finished the Omega expedition the Starboard Runner has one equipped. Using the new expedition sub-save feature you could also make copies of it. It's still obtainable by doing the Omega expedition offline on PC, though it's debatable whether that counts as a "legit" way or not.
Two things that might make the list: First, I found a system where the space station is in the ring of a planet. The entire inside of the station looked hazy. Second, the Incinerator weapon for the multitool. I don't believe it's ever "officially" been added to the game. It was discovered at specific locations for a short while, Jason Plays did a video on it, and then it was removed. You can still add it with save editors I guess, but AFAIK it's still not in game officially.
I've been playing since 2020. Proud to say I've had a very fast robotic dog pet since I started! I've also seen several rock creatures and colliding planets on my own!!
Back when planetary rings were added I had a planet which had rings that bisected its moon. Naturally I went to get a closer look. Seeing this massive ring up close on the moon's surface was amazing but entering the rings created dense fog that was impossible to navigate and no asteroids unfortunately.
On my first playthrough I bought a squid ship from a pilot who landed at a trade depot. On my second (VR) playthrough I never once saw one in the wild but I would occasionally see them being flown by human pilots landing in the space anomaly. I've never once, even in the Space Anomaly, seen another sentinel ship like the one I found. It's a wingless ship shaped like a bug. I also built a homebrew "Horizon Omega" by buying individual ships, scrapping them for the parts I wanted and eventually combining it all together into one ship. Lastly, there is a 4th faction. One that isn't Korvax, Gek or Vy'keen and a fun discovery for late-game.
I didn't realize robotic creatures were so rare. I found a paradise planet right next to my starting planet and it only had 2 lifeforms on it. Both were robotic. Can't remember the planet name but it's pastel pink and green. Coordinates are: Bird, Sunset, Dragonfly, Galaxy, Sunset, Bird, Moon, Hexagon, Diplo, Balloon/Waypoint, Bird, Moon. I also landed on a planet devoid of colour. I named it 'Noir' Another thing I only seen once is a planet with anti-gravity storms.
Bunkz: If you're watching this down the line and Hello Games have decided to add in ship customisation in the game which I highly doubt... Hello Games: Adds ship customisation.
I started a new normal save and found an A class royal multi-tool within the first hour. I instantly sold and scrapped everything to buy upgrades for it and to repair it

My first truly awesome discovery was of a Triple Star System, 3 Different colored Suns make for an interesting effect on some planets. Good presentation btw, subscribed!
3k and you've been to 4 galaxies😅 I have 1.5k and I still haven't been outside the first one
@@l0lkil3rcz26you haven’t completed the main storyline yet?
@@l0lkil3rcz26- only reason I left Euclid was for the Steam achievements. So much to see and do in the first galaxy there’s really not much point moving on in my opinion.
@@Adrena1in i thought the same until i went to a couple other universes...each universe has its own distinct feel
He became the best friend i ever made in the online world.
so we just saying anything on the internet now
How😔
I haven’t even ran into a real player yet
and how would u be able to know if he was lying
@@melloz1
Tell him I’m new and could use a squid ship too
8:23 ive got good news.
I was like ohhh that aged well lol
Lmaooo
I built a lounge on a Light Fisure planet. I call it Light City Lounge. In Euclid.

@@auroratic9983 there's always one. Looks like it's you. Your real life must be pathetic.
I found a new speices last night, it was a roling starfish thing
last time i logged in and played nms was few months after initial release...loved it then, but eventually moved on to other games and kinda forgot about it, with good memories of it...
i had a huge sudden urge to just start from scratch yesterday: i am SO excited for all that content and updates that have been added in the last 5 years ❤️😍
I find robot creatures all the time.
I call the dragonfly icon Q. anyone else heard of All Tomorrows?
YES some else noticed
8:14this aged well 😂😂
I once found some walking rocks at the start of my first playthrough… I didn‘t notice they where so rare :O
I feel like if they added full customization, ship hunting would just completely die out, I think they should just let us recolor and add decals if we'd like to, like what they did with exocrafts and freighters
they could do it like where u have to get the ship then salvage it to get its "parts" to use on another ship
@scu11slayer that would be awesome. You'd still have shiphunting, but with the goal of searching for rare parts instead of hoping you come across the perfect ship.
@@EzraBridger167 yes it would cuase i went to a website to make a custom see for sentinal ships and was surprised how many parts they actully have
sooooo my theory came true lol

Have to say, played no mans sky for 2 - 3 weeks and randomly found a squid ship. So I bought it. Then, several months later, I sold it because I needed a free ship slot. Afterwards I learnt that it was the rarest tipe of ship in no man's sky.
That planet you've shown is literally the type of planet where I set up my gold farm 4 years ago when I was a total noob lol. I also got a moving rock on that planet while mining ferrite dust to build more extractors
I literally found a mechanical pet as well now
Robotic companion was actually my ever first companion I've gotten in the game. Shoutout to my good old Lampy boi. Best lad who could conquer any mountain and any valley. Truly a warrior.
I am the only person I know who accidentally stumbled across a squid ship. Never felt so shocked in my life
I just got into the game a few days ago and stumbled upon an abandoned A tier solar ship that I’ve fixed up nearly all the way(still have 3 storage slots to unlock) and I still don’t know if I was like *supposed* to find it through the campaign or not
Oh yeah. The robotics! Actually my most beloved mount, quite good fella. Didn't know they're the rarest so this makes me extra happy.
I encountered those walking rocks before. Was funny when I was mining rocks but didn’t know they were super rare 😢
i just started playing this game, never played before, and I did come across a walking rock. I thought it was just a thing in the game. I didn't realize it was rare
We now all got up to 3 photonics cores from the expedition.
What system you play NMS on? What location in NMS are you?
"If they add ship customization, which i highly doubt" aged funny
wait a minute... i discovered a planet with two kinds of robot fauna very early into my play through. HOW LUCKY DID I GET?
Ive found exactly one squid ship in my 400+ hrs of playing and regret not getting it so much. Didnt save the coordinates either so I have no idea where i saw it
One of if not the rarest thing is white grass, paradise, with blue water, biolumenece grass, planets. I have only found 1 since day 1
I just found this the other day. 20hrs in. No white grass but everything else
I don't know if it was a glitch or not, but I actually got the Atlas Stone as a reward for a mission from a pirate system yesterday. So perhaps it's still available rarely from them.
Did not age well, you can now make ur own ships 😭
It's about time they added it in 😂
Bro that’s hilarious. You mentioned walking rocks. Just came back and started a new game after only playing on release. Saw a walking rock within the first planet right in front of my first base 😂
I've gotten really lucky with the squid ships, I've played
Ugh you have a squidward ship? So jealous.
I've found 2 squid ships in my 8 years and 3k+ hours of play.
Ya I will only keep a squid I found , I refuse to get one someone else found . That being said I have 2 squid in over 3000 hrs of play .
I was not expecting that Goliath of a rock😂😂
I found a frozen infested planet with droid animals once, foolishly didnt build a base.
Tbf if you're creative enough I'm sure you can make a build to work around it
I just started playing recently (~1 month now). My second sentinel pillar had a red and gray S class royal multi tool in it!
Yeah I think planet type isn't as rare as some other things in the game, but worth mentioning it anyway 😊
Just found an A class exotic looking multi tool and its my new favourite
Soooo about that ship customization thing......
The monochrome light planet was actually one of my first planets I came across in my first playthrough lmao nice
I did highly doubt it at the time haha, though very happy it was added in
@@BunkzGaming oh yeah definitely, just made me laugh when i heard that
Well the largest standard freighter I seen was a extremely long enterprise class they do exists I just saw only one though
Ship Customisation... hehe.
I saw this video and then like 2 hours later a squid ship docked in my freighter and I shit myself. Fastest purchase I’ve ever made
500hrs in 6 years???? Sorry mate, I got 650 hrs and have owned it maybe 6 months..
Congratulations. What would you like? A medal?
People can still enjoy the game. What is this "I have X hours more than you in X days" ?
Seriously touch grass, live your life and take a bath more than 1 time per week.
Well you talk it up like it's a big deal...
doesn't make it rare, just because you haven't seen it in your >limited< amount of game play. @@BunkzGaming
work a full time job and bathe daily. Don't project...@@metaljesus196
That means you have lots of free time on your hands.
Kudos to you.
11:30 Hey guess what we got ship customization
My first and only freighter I found out in space stopping Pirates is an S class lol I felt so lucky.
Fun fact: the "Minotaur Class" is the class of ship for the battlecruisers from Starcraft. The same franchise they got the banelings from.
Minute 8:20 , i doubt your doubting
8:14 this didn't age well at all XD
8:14 well boy do I have news for you
so, the coliding planets, collision will only be enabled on the planet you landed on. however if you summon your freighter, you can walk off of your freighter onto the planet
8:14 that aged well 😂
I have seen two of those walking rocks a big one and a small one and I have around 16hrs in the game.
literally stole a whole video from kanaju
1. Until your comment I didn't know who that was
2. Some of these things are reasonably well known to be the rarest thing in the game
3. That video doesn't mention a bunch of the stuff on this list 🤷
Since this video was made, they've added a way to get the Photonix Core, if you finished the Omega expedition the Starboard Runner has one equipped. Using the new expedition sub-save feature you could also make copies of it. It's still obtainable by doing the Omega expedition offline on PC, though it's debatable whether that counts as a "legit" way or not.
just got the white squid ship Thanks!!! 👍👍
had no idea the walking rocks were rare. scared the shit out of me when it happened.
Fun fact about light planets, they are far more common at higher tier star systems. Ive seen like 20 and ive got like 200 hours
I've been playing since 2020. Proud to say I've had a very fast robotic dog pet since I started! I've also seen several rock creatures and colliding planets on my own!!
what’s cool about the newest update is squidships are still the rarest ships in the game. you need to find a squid ship to have that unlockable
Back when planetary rings were added I had a planet which had rings that bisected its moon.
Naturally I went to get a closer look. Seeing this massive ring up close on the moon's surface was amazing but entering the rings created dense fog that was impossible to navigate and no asteroids unfortunately.
I got my squid ship through a random AI landing in a space station...
not me literally finding a planet of light right when you said it was the most rare 😂 mine was also just gray with weird light fauna
I remember having tons of atlas stones back in the day and not thinking it was a big deal and now they are the rarest item 😂
i have foundlike 20/30 of those "rare" ships...
I named it 'Noir'
Another thing I only seen once is a planet with anti-gravity storms.
Bunkz: If you're watching this down the line and Hello Games have decided to add in ship customisation in the game which I highly doubt...
Hello Games: Adds ship customisation.
I see the walking rocks pretty frequently, it scares me every time. None have ever attacked me, they've all just scurried away from me
I started a new normal save and found an A class royal multi-tool within the first hour. I instantly sold and scrapped everything to buy upgrades for it and to repair it
