Great video as usual Pan. I definitely need to do this to my car. One criticism I have tho is that every video you polish in you speed up the video. If this is meant to be a tutorial it means inexperienced DIYers are trying to learn from it and the real time speed is an important part of the process.
It's hard to find a good balance of not boring people with them watching me polish at normal speeds for 3 minutes vs a 30 second clip where you get the main point...
I found the perfect Chemical: Flitz Polish for metal, plastic and fiberglass, it is kind of expensive @ $13.50 for 7 Oz, but the liquid form only takes 1-2 drops per pillar. It is a polish and claims nonabrasive, but it must have some very, very fine abrasives in it. It made my pillars look like clear mirrors after just a very light circular application with microfiber towel and a quick buff before it dries with a second microfiber towel. They do make cream that will probably work on deeper scratches, but for everyday swirls marks it works great. did all the pillars and mirrors on a Lincoln SUV in 20 minutes start to finish with a spray wet ceramic protectant. Just have plenty of clean microfiber cloths and a spray bottle of water to wet before applying wet spray ceramic protectant. I used Turtle Hybrid as it is good on any non-porous surface. Remember this plastic is soft and, in most case, has little to none clear coat, the less pressure the better the results, no real pressure while rubbing needed.
I seriously was going to ask you to do a video on this trim. My wife and I both have brand new vehicles with this piano glass and I’m very concerned about the swirls that are possible. Thank you for the video.
I used the same Flex PXE-80 with a 2" APS backing plate and a Rupes 2" yellow foam pad with Sonax Perfect Finish. I also have the APS 3: Backing plate for my Flex PXE-80 which is a higher quality and less vibration that the stock Flex 3" Backing Plate. I love Sonax Perfect Finish, but a lot of detailers prefer the Koch Chemie M3/02 Micro Cut polish and the Koch Kemie 3" Purple Foam pad. The APS Backing Plates and extensions for the Flex PXE-80 are really nice to use.

Hello Sir. I noticed mine has what appears to be like a chipping or sun damage. Would you recommend this same procedure or would I need to get it recovered, almost like a window tent? Thank you for your time and I enjoy your videos.
Great information & video. Liking that flex polisher, You can tell by the motor there's very little if any bog on that. "German quality" ✅ Merry Christmas and have a good New Year pan! 🎄👍🇨🇦
Thank you for the tutorial.👍🏻 id love to see a trim coating video. I always have a hard time with getting dressings on paint. I’m not sure of the order of application. Paint then trims or vise-versa. Thanks again.
You can coat the trim at the same time as you’re coating the paint, assuming the specific coating you are using goes on paint and trim. You can do all the paintwork, and then go around the car and do all the plastic trim.

Good afternoon, Pan. Thank you so much for sharing the video demonstrating the black piano plastic fix. Pan, I need an orientation. Could you provide any literary sources that allow me to understand the mechanisms by which ceramic tiles determine water repellency? Beading and sheeting? Or even show me a video of your authorship that explains these mechanisms? Grateful for the attention. Waston Ribeiro.
Thank You Pan. Santa is bringing me some detailing goodies so I am excited. Lol, it's mostly re-stock as my son and I are low on our favorites. Every time I walk up to one of our cars that has this type of trim in similar condition I say to myself, '"Man I need to fix that". With my wife being in the Industry, I'm thinking I will correct them and have her guy put PPF over them. Need her to ask the question will the PPF interfere with the touch lock (Keyless) (which we don't use) on the one car that has it.
Good tip Is it good to use polish on the gloss black trims around a cars windows to remove what appears to be a type of water staining effect. Mine appear to be a similar material to the point black pillars

Great video Pan! Just one quick follow up. I have a BMW x5 with m sport pro pack and the black window gloss is gone grayish (looks to be discoloured from UV). I was considering getting those parts wrapped for permanent black gloss but would this method also restore the colour as well as remove scratches? Big hello from Ireland 🇮🇪
LOL I'm not a robot. I don't always remember exactly how I filmed things. I filmed this video on my own. The goal of the video is to show you how to achieve the results. That's where the focus should be.
Pan, do u have tips on winter car washing? For us in Toronto winter, we shut off the water hose outside to prevent the water pipe cracking. So no water to use outdoor. And u had advise not to go automatic car wash, then what option do we have?
Awesome video as always! Any suggestions on how to detail your black window trim on the bottom of the window which tends to look bad and spotty after a few years? Could be because of degreaser when I've been lazy and took the car to the automated carwasher :) any way to solve or need to get new ones?
We weren’t aiming for perfection here. This video focused more on the techniques and methods. Another polishing pass would have further refined the surface, but this is a daily driver and you have to use common sense and not remove too much clear coat. No normal human looks at a car with an inspection light so obviously here we can see all the micromarring. From a normal viewing distance they looked flawless. Preserving the clear coat is more and more of high importance as car manufacturers are using thinner and thinner paints.
I knew if I needed to know how to repair the piano black trunk panel on the wife's Mustang GT, Pan would be the man. One question sir. Would a product like Meguiars Ultimate Polish work? I've got shelves full of car care products, and if I can use that it'll save a little money. Thanks for all your great tips sir.
Pan! Not related to this video but, Do you recommend getting ceramic coating for the newly leased black car?? I got my first ever new car and I want to keep this clean and shine look while I’m riding it. I got a quote from local guy at 600, but I couldn’t decide if it is worth. Should spray coating type products and hand wash be enough for leased car?
I have a new Denali Ultimate with the Vador Chrome and its got some scratches of the chrome grill (but its really a plastic chrome). Would you suggest this method on that material as well? Thanks and great channel by the way! Lots of really good info!

You have alot of paint correction on that car Pan...wow. B pillars came out awesome as expected. Would you happen to have a video on headlight correction?
Thanks Kevin! I have a basic headlight restoration tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/sqpXsBcVako/v-deo.html That’s for light to moderate oxidation. Anything more than that and you have to get into water sanding, machine polishing and so on.
Hey Pan, another excellent video! Can you please recommend a bigger Flex cordless/ model no (that will take a 150mm pad)? Also what would you recommend for a medium cutting pad and compound?
To my knowledge, the Flex cordless polishers all come with 5" backing plates. If you want a 6" backing plate for your 6" pads (150mm), you can order a separate 6" backing plate from FLEX.
Hi Pan, what would you recommend to spray on Led Headlights to keep the snow off, I just switched to Led's from Hid's on my 4x4 pickup and it looks like a huge mistake, as the snow is sticking to the Headlights and not melting. Thank You and Merry Christmas!!
How would I fix that mistake if I coated with avalon king. I got a few marks, I was hesitant on running the DA polisher on it. Thanks Pan . Excellent work
What do you mean by "marks"? Scratches? Unfortunately, the only way to remove scratches will be through machine polishing, and you'll have to reapply the coating on that section afterwards.
Is it possible to polish the piano black trim on the interiors? Also Pan, if there is a way to get rid of those scratches on the piano black, what is the best protectant for that plastic? Thanks for great videos as always.
Yes you can polish the gloss black trim on the interior, same methods and products. You can even hand polish if you want. There not much protection that will prevent scratching unfortunately. You have to be careful with that gloss black trim. I like adding Bead Maker to gloss black trim, as it makes it slick to the touch, and easier to clean with less potential marring on the surface if you use a plush microfiber towel. Here's a link to Bead Maker: amzn.to/3AOISZg You can see me use it on one of my previous BMW M550i gloss black trim in this video: ua-cam.com/video/TV1_qdOCy-w/v-deo.htmlsi=STWvukubCesqozUg

I love Sonax Perfect Finish, but a lot of detailers prefer the Koch Chemie M3/02 Micro Cut polish and the Koch Kemie 3" Purple Foam pad. The APS Backing Plates and extensions for the Flex PXE-80 are really nice to use.
Sounds great!
Nice turnaround! I need to clean up the pillars on my truck. Hopefully they'll come out looking like those. I have some Extreme Solutions polishes that I'll have to use.
Thanks for watching!
Another great video pan! Is their anyway you could make a video on the best steamers for car detailers & another on how to clean and protect hard & soft truck bed covers for us guys with trucks.
Thanks Quentin!
These quick how to videos are excellent. Maybe a quick on on engine cleaning...lots to think about! Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Merci!
Hello Sir. I noticed mine has what appears to be like a chipping or sun damage. Would you recommend this same procedure or would I need to get it recovered, almost like a window tent? Thank you for your time and I enjoy your videos.
Enjoy these quick tip videos Pan!!
Thanks Mike! Always nice to have your feedback! Merry Xmas!
@@PanTheOrganizer Merry Xmas to you and your family Pan!
Great information & video. Liking that flex polisher, You can tell by the motor there's very little if any bog on that. "German quality" ✅ Merry Christmas and have a good New Year pan! 🎄👍🇨🇦
All my Flex polishers are beasts for sure! Built like tanks.
Great tutorial Pan! Quality work like always!
Thank you! Cheers!

You can see a bit of it in a video I made with an industry chemist that discusses ceramic coatings here: ua-cam.com/video/A8V7_HysfwA/v-deo.html
I don't use PPF so I'm not sure about that. You would have to ask your PPF installer.
I sit back relax and learn then I used it .. thx pan

Thank you Pan, definitely one of my to do jobs in spring.

Thanks for the video pan sonex products are really good I use them all the time
Thanks for watching Dave!
Good tip
Is it good to use polish on the gloss black trims around a cars windows to remove what appears to be a type of water staining effect.

Why no after shot with light like in before?
LOL I'm not a robot. I don't always remember exactly how I filmed things. I filmed this video on my own. The goal of the video is to show you how to achieve the results. That's where the focus should be.
Another valuable video, thank you. Please let us know which black nitrile gloves you’re using, a link for the US would be appreciated.
Nitrile gloves are super hard to source (like many items during covid) but the ones I usually want are these ones: amzn.to/32rfkzM
Pan, do u have tips on winter car washing? For us in Toronto winter, we shut off the water hose outside to prevent the water pipe cracking.
So no water to use outdoor. And u had advise not to go automatic car wash, then what option do we have?
PAN! You are such an inspiration to me I made a video explaining how you helped me out so much. Thank you!
Thanks I appreciate it! Merry Xmas
Awesome video as always! Any suggestions on how to detail your black window trim on the bottom of the window which tends to look bad and spotty after a few years? Could be because of degreaser when I've been lazy and took the car to the automated carwasher :) any way to solve or need to get new ones?
Any tire shine or trim restorer will make it brand new
After you finished that B pillar, it either looks like there is still polish on there or a.bunch of marring at the top part. Thanks!
Thank You for a thorough demo of this process! It's the same way that I do it!
Merry Christmas, Pan 🎄😃
Same to you!
Pan, where you using the random orbit setting on the machine. Thanks
Yeah pretty much any light polish should do on piano black plastics.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks Pan.
Pan your the man
Love all your video very helpful tip and advice 👍
Thanks Masum!
Hey Pan, could you do an air dryer comparison? I'm debating weather to get one or just dry it with Max shine duo twisted drying towel. Thank you in advance!!

Can I use a regular sized Torq dual action polisher I got from Chem guys if I can find a 3 inch pad for it. Thanks for your help. Great channel.
🌞🌞😎😎HI there, very impressive !! Can you do this to ATV /Quad/Motorcycle plastics please ? I have a black plastic covered Suzuki Quad that needs some TLC , I realise it wont get gouges out but the plastic is dull and has a lot of surface scratches....Thank you 😎😎🌞🌞

Thanks Pat!
Great tips as always extremely helpful. Do you have any videos for cleaning /protecting vinyl tonneau covers ?from all videos I’ve watched of yours haven’t seen any trucks. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I don't have a video on that, but it's quite a simple process if you have the proper products and tools. Here's what I recommend:

With this brush: amzn.to/3LaGAqd

@@PanTheOrganizer thanks for the tip and quick reply I will give it a try. Keep up the videos . Have great weekend
first time saw this so mean we can fix this , nice , do you have anything that mostly in the SUV trunk plastic panels on the sides get scratch , any idea how we can fix that ... please guide or make a video if you can
Great job. How would you go about doing a matte black pillers.
Thank you
You never polish matte black surfaces. That would make them glossy.
@@PanTheOrganizer what if they’re faded ? I have used cerakote for the absorbent trim pieces but it does not do well around window trim
You have alot of paint correction on that car Pan...wow. B pillars came out awesome as expected.
Would you happen to have a video on headlight correction?
Thanks Kevin! I have a basic headlight restoration tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/sqpXsBcVako/v-deo.html
That’s for light to moderate oxidation. Anything more than that and you have to get into water sanding, machine polishing and so on.
Thanks Pan, I'll check it out. 😀
Merry Christmas 🎄 Pan, another awesome video 🤩😎
Thanks Raymond! Merry Christmas!
Mr. Organizer, does the same procedure apply to plastic chrome?
Hi Pan, what would you recommend to spray on Led Headlights to keep the snow off, I just switched to Led's from Hid's on my 4x4 pickup and it looks like a huge mistake, as the snow is sticking to the Headlights and not melting. Thank You and Merry Christmas!!
Great short video Pan! Always nice to get my morning fix of PTO🙌🏼
Let's go! :)
Superb tutorial. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Please review Adam's tire armor. I like it alot and would like to see your opinion
I already tested that here: ua-cam.com/video/vD7PTsBIiXE/v-deo.html
How would I fix that mistake if I coated with avalon king. I got a few marks, I was hesitant on running the DA polisher on it. Thanks Pan . Excellent work
What do you mean by "marks"? Scratches? Unfortunately, the only way to remove scratches will be through machine polishing, and you'll have to reapply the coating on that section afterwards.
@@PanTheOrganizer small swirls.
Pan, thank you for your video. How do we restore very stubborn watermarks on car body?
I made a tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/s1XNKFVSwRk/v-deo.html
Here's a link to Bead Maker: amzn.to/3AOISZg
You can see me use it on one of my previous BMW M550i gloss black trim in this video: ua-cam.com/video/TV1_qdOCy-w/v-deo.htmlsi=STWvukubCesqozUg
Oh yes, long time fan/watcher, ai have the bead maker! Thanks so much Pan
Hi Pan. Great video. Do you have a method to do this on a the same surface for the interior and doing it by hand without any machines?
Same method applies for interior piano black plastics. You can do this by hand but you’ll need way more elbow grease.
Great video sir and a pro in your descriptions and story telling
🙌🏻👍🏻
Why not shine the light on it after the polish?
@TimboAK1
He absolutely held the light on it after the polish ; need to watch entire video ....
