You forgot that the back of the dark blue on Pipplup is also styled like the back of Butler’s suits that has a bit of a “duck tail” as Katniss would call it to represent their more commoner look along with nodding to how Penguins are often joked about having on tuxedos.

I wonder if the ‘Seven’ stat trainers may have at some point used the placeholder slots for the player rival since there are a few multi-battles in the main story.
see, i feel like the difference between people hating pokemon that wear clothes and liking pokemon like vespiquen, lucario, roserade, etc. is that with the latter, the design is incorporated into the pokemon and fits within its design, looking as a part of its body rather than something its wearing, usually only alluding to the appearance or silhouette of clothing like with gardevoir, lilligant, and gothitelle also 'wearing dresses' but it doesnt feel like it when looking at their designs, whereas with the former, the pokemon straight up look like they are wearing clothes such as cinderace, machamp and machoke, sawk and throh, etc. and it looks strange for a pokemon to just have regular human clothes on
Cinderace is easily the ugliest cringiest Pokémon ever

I recently heard the reason they went with Crystal was because it was meant to and did utilize in Japan only online connectivity with cell phones. Quartz crystals are usually involved in time keeping as well, and it was the generation where in-game time became a thing. However, it's possible Platinum was considered at one point. But the fact it didn't and became the third version for Gen 4 is actually poetic, given how Gen 2's remakes would follow the next year. Essentially a full circle experience.

@@alicevioleta3184 To be fair, cut Johto content also ended up in Gen 3. In fact, Game Freak has a tendency to hold onto and improve upon ideas over time if they don't fit their plans at that moment. Baby Pokemon were meant to show up in Gen 1, after all. Sometimes you have great ideas but bad timing. In those cases you just need to try again next time.
It always amuses me when the ice type trainers always seem like they aren't dressed for the cold. That's how I'd probably dress, too, if I'm honest.
Also, Plooplil is now my default nickname for every gen 4 run going forward.
I don't think Pryce was underdressed. Mahogany Town isn't cold like the other two places you mentioned. And in the original games, the gym doesn't look too particularly cold, probably not colder than the average ice rink.

Would’ve been cool to hear about the forms or Dialga and Palkia in Legends Arceus. Palkia and Dialga were “punished” by Arceus which resulted in the forms. Palkia lost its arms so it can’t use Spacial Rend and Dialga had its throat obstructed so it can’t use Roar of Time
They both seem to in their origin form seem to mimic arceus design, the origin form of giratina is his form in his dimension so you can assume its the same for the other 2
Those are their Origin Formes, as in the forms they originally had when they were created that are stronger than their base forms. So, there's no way they were "punishments," which doesn't even get into the fact that that's never mentioned nor implied to be the case.

16:45 The Hebrew word Shamayim directly means "sky", it doesn't directly mean "Heaven" (as in "the afterlife"). However, in Hebrew we do sometime say things like "he/she is in the sky" meaning they're in Heaven (the afterlife).
The actual official Hebrew word for Heaven (the afterlife) is "Gan-Eden", which (depending on context) can be translatrd to: "The garden of Eden", or "paradise", or "Heaven".
I wouldnt say the beta Arceus looks like Marshadow. Given its somewhat spiky, shadowy appearance and red eyes, I'd say that the Beta Arceus more likely got repurposed into Giratina in it's Altered/Overworld Forme than anything else. Which would be ironically funny if the pokemon equivalent to the devil was originally going to have been the pokemon equivalent to god. A sort of false god pokemon if you will.
Also, it would've made more sense name wise if Platinum and Crystal were swapped. Precious metals with precious metals, and gems with gems. Silver, Gold, Platinum. And Diamond, Pearl, Crystal.

The only _true_ hint that Laventon may be from Galar is his speech mannerisms. Everything else is circumstantial at best. The alphabet bit is completely irrelevant, though, as noted by how it was reused entirely in SV which likely means SwSh and SV use a "standardized" alphabet system while places like Alola and Kalos simply use a localized alphabet system.
Him being Leon and Hop's ancestor isnt determined by his pants, though. It's that all three of them are darker-skinned characters with purple "caps" and flower motifs, Leon and Hop's being their hair whereas Laventon's is his knit cap. Leon is also named after the dandelion (his Japanese name being "Dande"), Hop is named after hops, and Laventon is named after lavender.
There's also still the possibility that Laventon was originally from the "Pokéarth" version of India, moved to Galar for a bit, hitched a ride with the Galaxy Team and stayed in Hisui for a while, then moved back to Galar.
Now that I think about it, Ice type might work as a 1st or 2nd gym. Ice has a lot of weaknesses but that early in the game, there's not a lot of ways to exploit that, making Ice type an actual challenge.

It's where her heart is, it's where she rose to the title of gym leader, something she might've never had the chance to achieve in her region of origin her home is in sinnoh not in her region of origin bc that's where her HEART is, that's where her passion was achieved and thats where she prospered hence hearthome city being a nod to home is where the heart is bc despite coming from another region she made her home in sinnoh bc that's where her gym and her heart is (plus the way she speaks I bet she's from kalos)

@@ale-xsantos1078 I was hoping that there could be something about her in Pokemon Z (rip) but that never ended up happening. It got my hopes up because in game it is mentioned that Professor Sycamore studied under Professor Rowan when he was younger. XY were not bad games, I really enjoyed playing them and still do if I want to do a casual play through of a pokemon game but they did feel incomplete and give me a feeling of wasted potential.
Ice type trainers not being dressed for cold weather is like a little inside joke to me. They train ice types and/because the cold doesn't bother them

It's not weird or interesting that people hate Pokemon with clothes but love some who kinda look like it. There's an obvious difference between Pokemon with fur or skin or what have you that looks like clothes or items but is attached to them - which is what every example listed was - and Pokemon actually having clothes separate from their body they have to put on, which are usually the ones hated. It's a very simple differentiation.
Can't pretend like it's a charming or fun idea that an entire species of animal all wears the same outfit all made by the same Pokemon, implying those Pokemon only make one kind of outfit and that another species developed a cohabitation based on this one fashion choice lol. It's really dumb whenever they try this with any Pokemon but Sawk and Throh are like the epitome of why it's so bad of an idea.
Iridia's shoes have a simple answer lol. Red/white isn't an uncommon color combo. It's her main color scheme even. It's as simple as that

marshadow and beta arceus dont really look like each other at all that was just a reach
its a beta design so they probably thought arceus as more a mysterious shadowy figure so its just a vague greyed out shape that looks like its final design, the ends are more spiky and its 4 legged pony design while marshadows design is almost completely different with wispy ends other than the colours that are probably just a coincidence

Clothing designs on pokemon work depending on how they are incorporated into the character design. The closest thing I can think of to explain it is they give off a milder version of the uncanny valley.
There's a difference between Pokemon wearing clothes and a Pokemon's body resembling clothes. For example, Machoke and Machamp's championship belt, or Sawk and Throh literally wearing robes.
Imagine if you could take off machoks undies and see his grey wolf dork

Also for Brycen, Dragon Spiral Tower sits in the middle of a lake to the north. I only remember that cause my favorite Dragonite I caught came from there as a Dratini.

I like how you were able to full on dress yourself in Brilliant Diamond and Pearl and here we are on the current game, only able to change out a few accessories and forced to pay for a DLC to unlock **more** clothing. Kind of a silly decision on Game Freaks part to do that, its one of the smaller details I enjoyed about some of the older generations of pokemon that had allowed you to do that.
What if the other 2 stat trainers were supposed to be Looker and Charon, but because they were scrapped in Diamond and Pearl, they were repurposed to be a new Team Galactic admin and everyone's favorite international police agent.
So I’ve always wondered with these videos if some of them are confirmed facts or others are speculation (I.e. the Hisuian relationships to current characters or the heaven reference for Shaymin)

I agree also that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there are other poketubers that share obscure secrets of the pokemon games but are actually substantiated with verifiable proof, so I don't understand why hoops and hip-hop doesn't go that route instead.. I would be more inclined to believe and click on his videos more often..

As for the Pokémon looking like they’re wearing clothes I think of it as, in context of their universe, that the Pokémon inspired the clothing and not the other way around. Like queens wanting clothes that take design aspects from vespiquen to represent their leadership, or bodybuilders wanting to look like powerful pokemon like machamp, for example

Laventon may not actually be from Galar. As pointed out in MandJTV’s PLA dex entry video, Raichu’s entry talks about how it can discharge enough power to incapacitate the “Copperajah of my homeland.” Now, while Copperajah was first found in Galar, Copperajah’s Galar dex entry states that IT was brought over from a different country. So, while Laventon could indeed be from Galar, he could just as easily be from a completely different and unannounced region entirely

Also regarding Shaymin's connection to heaven, the place where you catch it is called "Flower Paradise", and in Christianity the term "paradise" is often used as synonym regarding heaven.
Paradise is not exclusively Christian thing, it’s just a general synonym for heaven, and is a corruption of the originally Persian word “firdaus,” meaning heaven in Islam and Zoroastrianism.

What you said makes me appreciate shaymin more as a mystical pokemon. Also if shaymin represents heaven, there is a possibility that shaymin might be a representation of the holy land of the garden of eden. Because one shaymin is a mythical grass type, also you literally go to a gorgeous mysterious flower garden when you go searching for shaymin in the original diamond and pearl games. If that's not a small nod to the garden of eden. Then I don't know what to say for it, because it was strange that a magical pathway to the garden appeared randomly so the garden has to have something heavenly connected to it.

I can see a pattern here if you pay attention to the choice for remakes, from the beginning we had remakes of the two original games of every gen, LG and FR for red and green, HG and SS for gold and silver; OR and AS for ruby and sapphire, BD and SP for diamond and pearl those 4 gens having an enhanced version as a third game. Gen 5 having not 1 but 2 sequels, they have just skipped it and now we'll have legend's ZA for gen 6 because no third game nor a sequel have been planned for it. I'm a little bit foreshadowing here, they're gonna skip gen 7 and then we're probably going to have either galar remakes or a legend's Galar.

8:39 Its called "reusing cut beta content". Thats what it "means". It happens all the time in gamedev. They made that Arceus sprite, went into a different direction, and then simply reused the general idea when they wanted to create a Pokemon with a shadowy vibe.
