I like how you were able to full on dress yourself in Brilliant Diamond and Pearl and here we are on the current game, only able to change out a few accessories and forced to pay for a DLC to unlock **more** clothing. Kind of a silly decision on Game Freaks part to do that, its one of the smaller details I enjoyed about some of the older generations of pokemon that had allowed you to do that.
The marshadow connection is the biggest stretch ever. Not even close to a connection there at all in all reality. The Platinum name being trademarked before "crystal was even a thing" is also entirely incorrect. Crystal was almost certainly in its planning stages already by this point. Meaning there is a massive connection here that was dismissed apparently. 🤦🤣
@corralzin4909 You cannot get Marshadow in any version of Sinnoh games. It did not exist in Gen 4 and the remakes on switch don't allow it either. It also does not have access to PLA. So idk where these ties came from. But beta arceus was a generic placeholder in the rough shape of the final arceus just so they had something to look at while testing the code. There's nothing more to figure out there. Plus the fact that it looks absolutely nothing like marshadow in any capacity.

Also regarding Shaymin's connection to heaven, the place where you catch it is called "Flower Paradise", and in Christianity the term "paradise" is often used as synonym regarding heaven.
Paradise is not exclusively Christian thing, it’s just a general synonym for heaven, and is a corruption of the originally Persian word “firdaus,” meaning heaven in Islam and Zoroastrianism.
Aren't the Shaymin and Giratina commection the fact, that they have an alternate Form? That happens to be introduced in Platin, which the movie was promo for?
i think that diference exist ONLY in english in spanish, french, italian. and more "cielo" (Spanish) for example means Sky AND Heaven it only deppend on the context ¡¡Chaoo!! ;-)
Also for Brycen, Dragon Spiral Tower sits in the middle of a lake to the north. I only remember that cause my favorite Dragonite I caught came from there as a Dratini. Also, oh look! The Poketch apps I got from a fan server!
Honestly, had they kept the metal theming for Gen 2 games, I feel like the third version should have been copper since Gold, Silver, and Copper are actually in the same group on the periodic table and it would be kind of odd for the lowest value metal to be in the middle. Gen 4's naming was just all over the place with no real theme
Laventon may not actually be from Galar. As pointed out in MandJTV’s PLA dex entry video, Raichu’s entry talks about how it can discharge enough power to incapacitate the “Copperajah of my homeland.” Now, while Copperajah was first found in Galar, Copperajah’s Galar dex entry states that IT was brought over from a different country. So, while Laventon could indeed be from Galar, he could just as easily be from a completely different and unannounced region entirely
7:14 And unlike her "7 companions", Candice isn't followed by a Dragon-Type leader. (Also, a Steel Type gym as the 6th? Seems like another parallel between Sinnoh and Johto- and maybe Unova if we consider that Skyla uses Skarmory)

Piplup is wearing Chaperon a common peasant hood from mideval times.
All three of the ice gym leaders you discuss also have “ice” or “yce” in their names, as well.
Well, Fire-type trainers don't walk around naked. Don't see why Ice-type trainers are supposed to be fully clothed.
If they was naked would Pokémon be rated R?
I literally never would have put together the connection between Laventon and Hop/Leon on my own
because it's not true
Because it's random and fake? He just didn't wanna say they're related cause of skin tone and made up some stupid shit like omg their pants?
Gambling isn’t good in a game but fighting animals is? The hell
The real question on Irida's shoes is how in the world could she wear that if they are so tacky and ugly
Why did you insult them though is she walk just fine?
The marshadow connection is the biggest stretch ever. Not even close to a connection there at all in all reality.
The Platinum name being trademarked before "crystal was even a thing" is also entirely incorrect. Crystal was almost certainly in its planning stages already by this point. Meaning there is a massive connection here that was dismissed apparently. 🤦🤣
If you have marshasoe in Pokémon diamon maybe he turns into B arceus? I can t try I don’t have mats shadow idk how to get him
@corralzin4909 You cannot get Marshadow in any version of Sinnoh games.
11:51 Wait each region has its own language. Fuck there goes my hope of being isekai'd into Pokémon and being able to travel the world.
24:01 friendship?
I really don't think Gaeric was meant to be in any way associated to Crasher Wake. the similarity is minor and negligible.
What is gay brick ?
Who’s gay Rick
16:22 I straight thought you were going to say Hades and Persephone 😬 but that works too 😂 I always love your secrets and facts! Thank you for always continuing to add to my reasons to love this franchise! ❤
What?
I had NOT heard about the starter beta names before - Ploopil???
I cannot believe you just pronounced Icarus that way
I came to the comments wondering if anyone else was as taken aback by that as I was! Lol.
@@codyhensley640it’s because it’s no Icarus. It’s Icirrus City
The more secrets of Pokemon, the more interesting it becomes
A lot of these aren’t secrets but just wide speculation unfortunately.
@@Jay-ys2cf i know, just wish they were really
Also regarding Shaymin's connection to heaven, the place where you catch it is called "Flower Paradise", and in Christianity the term "paradise" is often used as synonym regarding heaven.
Paradise is not exclusively Christian thing, it’s just a general synonym for heaven, and is a corruption of the originally Persian word “firdaus,” meaning heaven in Islam and Zoroastrianism.
@@MerkhVision Oh, didn't know that. Thanks comrade.
I won’t lie, Beta Arceus looks more like what I’d imagine a god to look like than normal Arceus.
Nope
Aren't the Shaymin and Giratina commection the fact, that they have an alternate Form? That happens to be introduced in Platin, which the movie was promo for?
That's another reason, yes, but from lore and creative standpoints, this is the reason way
Shamayim means sky not heaven
i think that diference exist ONLY in english
in spanish, french, italian. and more "cielo" (Spanish) for example means Sky AND Heaven it only deppend on the context
¡¡Chaoo!! ;-)
The English word "heaven" in Hebrew means both "sky" (Shamayim) and "Garden of Eden", so it is a split meaning.
@@guijilope Indeed, and that's the case for Hebrew as well.

Also for Brycen, Dragon Spiral Tower sits in the middle of a lake to the north. I only remember that cause my favorite Dragonite I caught came from there as a Dratini.
Also, oh look! The Poketch apps I got from a fan server!
Maybe Irida also was a big fan of Foongus.
What girl likes mushrooms? Are you serious or trolling
@@corralzin4909??
The strong familial resemblances of PLA characters basically reinforces Nurse Joys and Officer Jenny's all looking alike as family members
Great video! The Stat trainer situation was pretty interesting. I want to know where they were going with that 7th Stat trainer.
I feel like the seventh stat trainer would’ve specialized in base stat totals
You can receive the poketch apps if you do the glitch to get the old events in diamond and pearl
It's no glitch, you're basically connecting to a fan server.
This honestly wasn't as strong as your other videos. There was a lot of suspension of disbelief.
No I believed him
14:05 “the iconic [insert cry]” so iconic that he never says it correctly
1st one is a reach - sounds like the Hindsight bias to me
Pokemons that wear clothes and parts of them that looks like clothes are different things
How do they do shitted with clothes on?
Not sure why everyone has to be related from legends
I think it’s speculation (though someone correct me if I’m wrong)
Nope that book at GameStop tells you everyone in it dvd who their dad and mom and stuff is
Honestly, had they kept the metal theming for Gen 2 games, I feel like the third version should have been copper since Gold, Silver, and Copper are actually in the same group on the periodic table and it would be kind of odd for the lowest value metal to be in the middle.
Wulfric isn’t followed by a Dragon leader either, as he’s the last gym leader of Kalos and there isn’t a dragon gym leader in that region.
@@JZJ7777 He is, however, in theory able to be such, considering the variable order of the Elite 4.
So I’ve always wondered with these videos if some of them are confirmed facts or others are speculation (I.e. the Hisuian relationships to current characters or the heaven reference for Shaymin)
Legit, I feel everything he said in this video is nothing but speculation
@@czr-valdez-truhero agreed. And if that’s the case then fine, we’re all entitled to an opinion and theory, but in my opinion I wouldn’t sell them as “facts”
@@master12344 agreed again, and another thing I noticed was the subtle hyperbolic use of the word "insane" in describing his own speculation/opinion. I agree also that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there are other poketubers that share obscure secrets of the pokemon games but are actually substantiated with verifiable proof, so I don't understand why hoops and hip-hop doesn't go that route instead.. I would be more inclined to believe and click on his videos more often..
@@czr-valdez-truhero I wholeheartedly agree. I find Hoops’ videos border mostly on fan-fiction. I personally like to learn actual facts about Pokémon, rather than people’s fan theories.
@@master12344 😂 true that!
8:39 Its called "reusing cut beta content". Thats what it "means". It happens all the time in gamedev. They made that Arceus sprite, went into a different direction, and then simply reused the general idea when they wanted to create a Pokemon with a shadowy vibe.
I domt know if secrets was the best term for most of these. Like some of them are secrets but others feel more like Easter eggs or fun facts. Like rhe Giratina/Shaymin thing and the Hisui starter types
I think theories is the best way to describe this video 😂
Wow, the last fact about the attendant kinda felt like the craziest one by far, weirdly ending on a super high note, lol.
17:25
Or it could be because they both got new forms in platnium
You forgod Joe Marrick's world map. It's also a fan made thing that became official
1:44 that moment when you compare the movie and game vs inspirationhahaha
8:00 … Um… not really? I mean the color and eyes maybe, but it’s still a quadrupedal Pokémon with weird spikes like Arceus and could look more like Giratina at that point than Marshadow. I kinda see where you’re going and MAYBE it did influence it, but the similarities really don’t come across as well as you made it sound.
That said, something about Gaeric being Crasher Wake’s ancestor too hurts and fits at the same time and now I’m just laughing at that. Kudos for the effort you always put into your videos, hun. It’s always fun to watch these!
Crasher Wake doesn't wear a shirt, know who else doesn't wear a shirt?
Pikachu.
Crasher Wake is related to Detective Pikachu.
Nope crasgeecwake doesn’t show up in the movie but nice speculations
I mean hey. It's just fun to think about,
Naming every piplup poopil from now on
Pretty sure that arceus sprite was just a crappy place holder
Dude don’t say that it could haunt you at night
7:57 may be they first thought of making Arceus just a shadowy figure as it is the god of Pokémon world.
Laventon is probably indian.....
The sprite could also have been inspiration for garatina
What if the creator of the modern Pokeball stumbled upon the then late Irida's shoes and getting an idea for the design of the Pokeball we use today?
What if he smelled her shoes ?
Re: Wulfric & Crasher Wake relation:
Ice is frozen Water.
Makes sense to see the an Ice Gym Leader being related to a Water Gym Leader.
😊
16:52 Actually the word shamayim in hebrew is used to say sky
Not heaven
What it doesn’t say anything though
This is my favorite series on ur channel 😊
Agreed!!
I agreed too.

"Home is where the heart is" means that your home is wherever you feel good living, and not where you're from necessarily.
Fantina is home, where she's happy, not where she's from.
I thought I was the only one who realized the hisui starters and paldea starters had the same type.
they don't? fire, grass, water is in every gen
Late to this but it is fairly clear Lavington and the rest of the villagers are in fact refuges of Galar (hypothetically cause of the darkest days) with Kamado in particular noting his armor is Galarian by name
A lot of "facts" or "secrets" in this vid are weird opinions that could be argued on whether they are real connections or not, not really informative and a bit clickbaity :/
Where is your whimsy? Your creativity? ...Hardass.
Sproutle and scorchimp arent that bad but my goodness piplups name was horrible the beta name of it
It’s basically poo 🙄
It's a mask on crasher wake. I don't think he's a decendant...but they do look close
