Pathfinder: WOTR is an isometric single-player role-playing story game currently in development by Russian studio Owlcat Games and published by Deep Silver, based on Paizo Publishing's Pathfinder franchise. Announced through a Kickstarter campaign in February 2020, the game will be released for PC, Microsoft Windows, and macOS on September 4, 2021. A console version for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series X Gameplay, PS5, PS5 Gameplay, Playstation 5, Playstation 5 Gameplay, will be released at a later date. The game is a sequel to Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

In WOTR the realm of Sarkoris was destroyed when Areelu Vorlesh opened a rift to the abyssal planes of existence, and hordes of demons invaded the world of Golarion. Led by the evil Demon Lords Deskari, Baphomet, and Nocticula, the abyssal forces crushed all who stood against them, turning Sarkoris into a demon‑infested land now known as the Worldwound. Join the Crusade against the demonic invasion and rise as a new hero wielding unimaginable powers in this classic CRPG. The fate of this world lies in your hands.
Pathfinder has dozens of classes and subclasses with thousands of abilities, feats, spells, talents, and buffs to choose from. The spell listing allows you to choose from Evocation (Damage Dealing), Enchantment (Crowd Control), Necromancy (Undead), Abjuration (Buffs), Illusion (Crowd Control), Divination (Buffs/Disruptor), and Conjuration (Summoning). This is combined with an insane amount of class/subclass options including Alchemist, Arcanist, Barbarian, Bard, Bloodrager, Cavalier, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Hunter, Inquisitor, Kineticist, Magus, Monk, Oracle, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Sorcerer, Warpriest, Witch, and Wizard! It is Owlcat's goal to give each of these classes at least 5 subclasses each!
Choose your Mythic Path and embody an Angel, Demon, merciless Lich, wily Trickster, superhero Azata, law incarnate Aeon, truly evil Swarm, merciful Gold Dragon, or forgo all of them to stand alone as a Legend. Each path will allow you to improve your hero in unique ways, adding a new layer to character development and making your hero and their allies a true match for their powerful enemies.
There are more than a dozen potential party members in the game including Camellia (Half-Elf/Spirit Hunter), Seelah (Human/Paladin), Lann (Mongrel/Zen Archer), Ember (Elf/Stigmatized Witch), Arueshalae (Succubus/Espionage Expert), Woljif (Tiefling/Eldritch Scoundrel), Daeran (Aasimar/Oracle), Sosiel (Human/Cleric), Regill (Gnome/Hellknight), Wenduag (Mongrel/Fighter), Nenio (Kitsune/Scroll Savant), Greybor (Dwarf/Slayer). All of these companions have their own backgrounds, alignments, and motivations. All of them are fully voice acted with unique character models. There are even more followers that are locked behind specific story/mythic quest options!

There's a great +4 dueling sword you can buy from Woljif in act 4 that would fit perfectly with this. The "Master Fencer's Sword", let's you add half your mobility score to damage on crits and attacks of opportunity

i love altdori defender. it's my favorite fighter class and dueling sword is one of my favorite weapons to add to bards, magus, sorcerers and sorceresses. sometimes i do a 1 level dip to the defender class with them. it's great for unarmored classes and when a monk dip doesn't really fit.

One thing to keep in mind is that as far as I've been able to tell, if you plan on going with Legend Mythic Path, you can actually get some benefits going Trickster path from 3 through 7 mythic levels. While you lose out on the Mythic abilities you gained there; you get to retain the Improved Improved Critical line of feats you and your party members may have taken along the way. Very nice for piling on the critical hits.

Well the biggest trick of trickster is becoming a legend.
I assume Owlcat is going to patch that out so didn't want to include it in a build.
@@SlanderedGaming I don't think they really can fairly take away the feats you take at 11, 13, 15, and 17 if you went trickster until then. Also knowing that mythic feats from mythic level 3 thru 7 do go away, that's a great place to take power attack to qualify for dreadful and final improved improved critical right at 17 before switching to legend (if you take fighter to 12 before swordlord to 10).
It is ultimately cheesing the system as designed, but not something I can see any way owlcat can really fairly "fix", short of making you completely respec when you select legend option since they can't just take away 4 feats fairly chosen.

@@SlanderedGaming I've rewatched it a couple of times. On my next playthrough I might bring him in as a mercenary. I'm also thinking someone like Blade would get along really well with Rigil the Hellknight. They both could play well as team "By any means necessary."

Some mother demons are always trying to iceskate uphill.
I figured out why arueshalae was turning people to stone. It was many shot. She did a total of 21 int damage on the initial shot. Also, this is just like my legend build. I love it. My main character was an aasimar tho. I wanted to explore aasimar dialogue options. The wings are a nice bonus

Interesting build. I usually build my swordlord a bit different but this one does the trick too ^^ I personnaly multiclass right from level 2 into monk scaled fist then thug (free weapon finesse+fright yummy). I would have gone paladin if it weren't for the Trickster mythic path for extra saving throw with Divine Grace, and I stop at Swordlord 5 put everything else into aldori defender (not taking Legend at the end hahaha) Stacking as much into AoO (Combat reflexes is a must!) to make quick work of them when they start running away after Dazzling Display...Wild and funny as I can easily imagine them running away from my magnificent beard!

@@SlanderedGaming And if you get Use Magic Device 3 from the trickster mythic tricks, you turn yourself into a full caster aswell...And there you go with Frightfull aspect, seamantle, icy body...you know, the usual...Gotta stack charisma, dump strength dump constitution ( you're gonna dodge pretty much everything anyway ^^) at least 13-14 intelligence (by the time you get to UMD3 you'll have an easy access to headbands +6). This char easily soloed chapter 5 on hard ^^. Or if you wanted to go Legend afterwards, one could imagine going Sorcerer (since we got good charisma)+ Eldritch knight for 20-40 levels...Not a Daywalker build but pretty fun either way

Question, maybe I'm missing something, how do you take Legend at Mythic 3? Was this added in a patch?
No when you become Legend it forces you take to off all your Mythic levels except the first three. Therefore if you respec you only choose three Mythic levels.
Off topic question but in your opinion which had better romance kingmaker or wrath?
Wrath has better romances overall however, none of them compare to the one with the Nymph.
Can anyone make a mod that removes the large explosion effect from when you cast dazzling display? It just makes it look like you set off a large stink bomb. It also doesn't make sense for what's supposed to be happening in the game.

I think some of the duelist abilities do not work with one hand slashing weapon which dueling sword is. They only work with piercing weapons like rapier and estoc
One of the feats we took automatically makes the Dueling Sword count as both.
Interesting build. Personally, I probably would have gone slayer-arcane enforcer with the Angel or Azata mythic path, because there's an Angel and Azata-only exploit that lets you shoot holy water. Thematic, and one of the more useful damaging exploits (not a resisted damage type, and only does damage to those damaged by holy water - i.e. not most party members). But that's not saying there's anything wrong with yours, just that it's cool two people doing the same concept can do so so differently.
Additionally, I found it interesting that you shied away from Cornugon Smash. A full-bab class with access to base/greater/mythic weapon focus is one that can best absorb the to-hit penalty. Not that you need it at all once you hit legend, as you well proved, but before the massive bab boost from legend's levelling I suspect it could find use. To be clear, not saying you were 'wrong' to not take it, just ... interesting.
Also, I keep forgetting that 'stat belts to meet feat prereqs' is a thing. Off the top of my head, it's tabletop rules-legal (minus some minutiae that wouldn't translate well to a pc game), so it's not an exploit (so long as you lose the ability to use the feat when you take the belt off, I believe), I just keep forgetting it's even an option.
Yeah definitely considered Cornugon Smash but since we're not using Power Attack it just didn't make sense for me. Mechanically I think Angel and Azata definitely fit with Blade but rping wise I felt like Legend is stronger.
My only question pertains to equipment. What would be the endgame set for a character like this??
Bracers of armor +8, Assailant belt, Headband Intelligence +6, Ring of Evasion and Summoning, Ronneck's Sacrifice boots, and +5 Dueling Sword. I think there are also some gloves that directly interact with the Dueling sword but off the top of my head that list should set you straight.
Why not using the power attack? It does the same as piranha strike. I’m playing a full Dex build (rogue/slayer) that took the PA instead of PS and it’s working well. Specially because of Cornugon Smash
In hindsight I probably would've done that. When I am finished with the class ranking series I am going to update all the old builds.

I like what you did with the build; but I would have taken a level in Barbarian for the rage - and chosen Limitless Rage as the second mythic. (In the movies he's powered up feral a fair few times) I would also have gone more ranger (he hunts the undead) for favored enemy and terrain bonus. Besides, I think it still gives a crossbow option (I know that was Jessica Biel but he's not without skill at range, and this is pretty much the compromise the game can use) I would also have gone one point in Monk for the upped defense and unarmed damage. Maybe the rest in dragon disciple to get the attribute bonus'. I would have gone pure strength rather than dex, but I've always been more the dealing damage than trust in dodge tanking type. (Which should be hilarious since I do enjoy monk : ) ) [If they had a class that was a magic caster that specifically ONLY did self buff spells, I'd go that route... since Blade has an awareness of magics in comics canon, but as far as I'm aware doesn't use it himself - it would be means to buff his stats to match what a vampire should really be capable of though, so I'd still call that RP] ** Have never been much of a debuffer, or a dex fighter. I know some swear by swordlord, but I never tried it when I was playing Kingmaker. This was a good take on a straight sword build. I might have gone Lawful Neutral because he does follow a code and strictly. He's all about discipline and self control. I'd also have possibly gone more the armored class but I'm not sure Hellknight is all it's cracked up to be - even if I think that would also fit him as a cursed warrior type. Honestly, I think he won out because there's A LOT of ways you could make him work for an RP playthrough.
* Now you gotta do the line, you know... some mofo's are always tryin' ta ice skate uphill. (Still my favorite line of the trilogy)
** For pure RP you missed Blood Drinker. Just saying. (I know, he uses serum but he always gets more powerful when he drinks blood in or near the climactic fights)
Glad you liked it! I purposefully stayed away from Blood Drinker because Blade prefers to not drink blood and it doesn't provide a large boost to mimic what it does for him in the comic books.
@@SlanderedGaming Figured it would be something like that. I only mentioned it for the RP. The serums however might be a good reason to go Vivi for a rank or more with the discoveries. Or pass it off to Nineo - she can whistle, can't she? o. O
you can do a blade build prim and proper with machetes and pistols in underrail btw

I’d probably go Duelist before machining out Aldori Defender, but otherwise I ran a pretty similar Legend.

@@SlanderedGaming Honestly, I like the kit. Parrying feels badass.
Mechanically, I like the extra damage and the Int to AC more than I like the Aldori Swordlord’s buffs. Also, there’s a cape you get that buffs the damage even further, and coupled with the crit confirmation buffs, it’s more offensive focused than Swordlord and I tend to prefer that.

Nope and I have no idea why the stats jump wildly like that. Definitely doesn't do that now when you respec.

The new Blade is a no-go, for me. Not only no Wesley Snipes but PG-13 as well. Talk about dumping on all that came before. Personally Blade should be R-rated or skip doing in the first place.
