I went with Hagriven Bloodrager for Demon. You're already using powerful claws for both the mythic path and the bloodrager. And once you can turn into a glabrezu, all it's pincers count as claws. And they both use CHR as their casting stat. Also 4 full BAB attacks at level 10 is nice, too. Or doubling your claw damage whenever you want by making them have vicious enchantment. Inflicting curses on hit is also very demonic. Another good combo for legend: 20 Enlightened philosopher, 20 shadowcaster. You get all wizard spells, all oracle spells, +5 profane INT bonus, and +5 insight INT bonus. And you control the hag pet exactly like every other pet. And the hag being 3 levels higher than you, means it'll actually land it's spells. Also Draven's hat will let her swift cast a haste at the start of every fight, and then still take her turn. And charlatan magic deceiver is the best blaster in the game. 22d6 chain lighting+44d6 disintegrate before anything that raises caster level, no friendly fire. Or 10d6 fireball+10d6 lightning bolt+10d6 elemental barrage, from a single level 3 spell slot. The only real weakness is you can't use selective spell, since everything is an AoE
At max you have eight uses of Chain Lightening + Disintegrate. Nothing Deceiver does is more impressive than a full caster with Zippy Magic melting everything with Hellfire Rays 20+ times before you need a rest.
@@SlanderedGaming Spell fabrication adds 5 more casts of that by level 20. So 13 AoE's vs 20 rays. And the AoE's can be double. damage or "Have no friendly fire and inflict a status effect." Never ever play a pet class/archetype with Swarm. Your clones won't to get their version of a pet. Instead I would recommend the new Mantis Zealot archetype for additional insect swarm powers.
Yeah Mantis Zealot also matches well with the swarm I mean at first you pray to the swarm then you become a part of the swarm and in the end your are the swarm.
For fun, if True Aeon is your jam, punch in Anthrax's "I am the Law". You can crank that tune for all the boss fights. As a note about Jon Irenicus, in Minsc & Boo's Journal of Villainy it states that Jon and Bodhi rule a Domain of Dread centered in Suldanesselar. In this age, Jon is actually a lich now.
I played gold dragon as a barbarian with beast totems and bite attacks. It was extremely effective cause all the rage bonuses and my natural attacks specializations applied to the dragon form. So basically the dragon form was my barbarian going even more enraged and berserk.
Aeon can be truly broken with the right pet - Pure Form can now apparently be properly extended (thus not needing the Timely Assistance belt), meaning you can set all your pet's stats to match their bloated strength stat all day. With a Divine Hunter's celestial template pet, you can have a pet with something like 80 in charisma, letting it unleash the most unstoppable smites Golarion has ever seen. I literally had my smiting pet solo the hardest bosses on unfair, while it was buffed with Pure Form. Just remember to run with a brown-fur transmuter to give you high stat buffs and convert your wolf or dog pet into a dragon for more stats and attacks.
another azata suggestion but from me: rimuru from that time i was reincarnated as a sline as a feyspeaker druid, as a slime he can shapeshift into the creature he defeats and consumes, and he prefers a diplomatic aproach to things most of the time, he can also cast spells, his pet should be a wolf named ranga, which is his horned wolf servant that hides in his shadow
Indeed that is a great idea! :d Especially since he (at least initially as far as I know in the series) likes to make friends with a variety of species including those that people would consider as monsters like the goblins and wolves.
If I ever get around to getting the last 3 DLC I'll most likely do Titan Fighter tricksters, since using 2handers 1 handed is already cheating why not simply break all the other rules too.
Brruuuuh you just had to mention Light Yagami. Now you gave me a reason to go devil. I'm actually intrigued to do a Dracula build and if I remember correctly he could shapeshift into a werewolf...damn...this gives me an idea for bloodseeker with wereshifter
I wish to make an Aeon Devil with high perception/persuasion(2 best skills in the game apparently) though cant seem to decide which class to play with it. Aeon Devil seems weak as it can only buff others with hells decree and not himself, and he loses all the gazes which are the most powerful part of being Aeon. So cant be blaster, cant be melee, what can it be that synergizes well ?
actually working on a titan fighter angel playthrough atm since all the dlc is out. going at least 9 titan fighter for the str scaling, thinking 3 hellknight, maybe more just for the flavor and how well smite chaos scales with attack quantity. kinda fast and loose with weapon types, used a glaive+shield for the early game to keep attack rolls decent, currently using 2 greataxe in chapter 2. later I'm thinking falchions for that tasty crit range but also toying with the idea of just going back to shield and taking shield bash feats. so many options but it's felt strong the entire way. all the benefits of 2h damage rolls while still pumping those attacks per round.
Just to drop a combo I'm excited to not just use, but to compare with my Core run of Trickster Kitsune Sword Saint (cutting through flesh, magic and logic, all while settling into the most natural chaotic path, RPing the Duelling Sword as a Katana. Might end up going into Mythic as she ultimately ends up cutting through the Mythic power itself) and my original Azata run (Tiefling Primalist, going for a primal freedom Oni type feel). Anyway, my newest run is Titan Fighter Demon. That barely contained rage combined with heavy armor and weapons leans perfectly into a warrior inspired by the likes of Berserker Lancelot from Fate or a more corrupt take on Guts - a damaged Warrior, barely remembering anything more than pain and torment in the past, thrown straight into a Warzone that shapes their mind and taking on a might makes right mentality, harnessing their rage, but not letting it control them. Dual Weilding Greatswords all the while. It was that or Half Orc with Greataxes.
@SlanderedGaming TBF I'll likely go back and forth with it and the Sword Saint run, just because I do plan to complete that one and it'd make a fun Dance of Masks choice, as nobody will be gone. The fun part is that part of the gimmick of my Core Sword Saint? Everyone gets a bit of Multiclass. Even if it's just one Level (Seelah, your 2h build) everyone is getting a bit unusual. Prestiege classes for Nenio, Daeran and Ember, multiclasses for Wenduag, Seelah and etc etc. Edit: Of course, if I was smart, I'd have gone instinctual warrior Barb for Wenduag over Primalist Bloodrager as she lacks Charisma. Ah well, it fits thematically and she still kicks ass at level 5 so shouldn't be an issue.
It also hurts me bc the race only classes should be op, or at least amazingly powerful bc the race was the downside since you can't customize your character or had to put up with the race's limits ie, that neg 2 to str in kitsune. I also feel like you could make those "spell like" abilities be actual spells would help the classe be less trash but I'm not a game or ttrpg designer
This is good stuff for someone like me who is pretty ignorant of Pathfinder mechanics in general. I especially appreciate the role play suggestions. Trying to figure out how to play Gourry Gabriev of The Slayers.
Just my thoughts to share and builds I put together: (mostly commenting to boost the interaction) Aeon I love kineticist. They mechanically complement each other by filling in each other's weaknesses. Angel I love oracle purifier to gain a psuedo caster almost front line caster that stacks the buffs can be crazy powerful. Azata I love combining with Sword Saint Magus. Unlike my other choices I don't have a good reason other then combining magic and melee and the super powers goes great together since you can do both effectively. Demon I love shifter specifically demonic shifter. It allows you to stack shifter bonuses onto your mythic claws and the bonuses of demon stack perfectly as well as demonic rage. The spells from demon are just an added bonus. My devil build is a hell knight signifier with a couple levels into dirge bard so I can focus on fearing enemies, you scare everyone you can followed by blasting them as they run. I liked it but it felt underwhelming. I am eager to make an azata into devil magic deciever build. Gold dragon I was torn, but ultimately made mine a scaled fist with 2 levels into paladin, but I never completed that story. It's one of the few I didn't see the ending. My legend build is actually my first character from DnD a fighter barbarian build. There is no reason for it other than that it was my first player character. I however didn't make it to the end of this playthrough either because my computer at the time met it's end I never got motivated enough to do it again. Lich was a really specific build for me, Eldritch knight brown fur transmuter focused on critting every couple of hits with an esotic it was incredibly powerful and one of my favorite playthroughs. My swarm build was originally a traditional monk, but I did a second playthrough as a prophet of pestilence that I'm currently working on. My trickster build was entirely cheesy and I only recently started it, it's a titan fighter with scythes because it increases crit range ridiculously. I don't think I'm going to finish this one because I just don't enjoy the story as much while I love the concept it's just not for me so far. I may like it more if I can figure out how to make a fae style build. If you read all of this I appreciate you, and I especially appreciate Slander and all the wonderful content you have made
Rowdy Rogue is amazing with Trickster when built right. AOE Greater Vital Strike + sneak attack with a 6ft weapon with high crits like fauchard? 600+ damage crits get very common. And any metamagic user in your party gets busted when you add the -1 level metamagic to the mix. Selective Tsunami? Coming right up.
Is there another suggestion for Titan Fighter than Angel? Did Angel on my first playthrough, so I really wanna do something else for my titan fighter. Maybe Trickster?
I would have thought Chronomancer was a pretty strong thematic contender for Aeon. Also, resetting your Aeon's bane as well as Aeon spellbook is very useful.
-I personally hate aeon, but i thought im gonna put my oppinion here anyways --> Winter Child -Azata is not about zippy magic, zippy is the "troll/fun" mechanic, the double roll on spell dc's, the shared teamwork feats are what its at imo. also the theme of it is worth it on its own. I personally use azata for my questionable hybrid builds as it gives me the things i cannot get with those non optimized builds (and makes them unfair viable) -Demon Shaman is a GREAT combo and im happy to see you are the 2nd content creator who is pointing it out. but lets be real, if you are a shaman you are earthbound and you would NEVER follow a demon mythic path, so yeah.. its very immersion breaking. -Light Yagami with the new book class? Sir you are a genius! -ahh this is your idea to fix bloodseeker... i get it, add a broken class ontop of a terrible class. Problem is this: until you unlock legend, you will be HARDcarried by your party... what a legend XD. Honestly owlcat NEEDS to put the bloodseeker capstone into lvl 6-10 area immediatly, give it a upgraded version at lvl 20, add something useful to the archetype or just remove it and retry. i heard they were really excited about it becoz the designer is a big Alucard fan... but you see... Alucard is insanely strong... playing bloodseeker tho feels more like cosplaying as a mosquito. -Trickster is indeed terrible if you like game immersion. and giving it all the good stuff is a nasty move (i hate the fact only trickster can get kingmaker loot, i hate only trickster can get +6 equip, i hate only trickster gets CRAZY feats (looking at you improved improved improved improved improved improved improved improved broken mythic path) oh did i mention the fact you will retain 90% of those things when you decide to go for a even more broken path in legend??? what a fantastic design. As you can tell i hate trickster even more than you do XD
@@Rhuowaveand yet, thematically, it all works lol, the trickster ends up being a 4th wall breaking overpowered cartoon character in a story where one of those most certainly is immersion breaking
I bet that when you were making this video you didn't really consider Druid, Shaman or Ranger archetypes for any of the mythic paths. Sadly there is no path that suits them well. I even tried to inquire Owlcat if they plan to add a Mythic path for nature related classes, but there was no response. And something like becoming a Spirit Guardian for the lands of Worldwound could have been so much fun, attracting animals, beast, plants and elements to fight in crusade, while slowly becoming less of a human-oid being.
Also! Baron Von Rotten had plenty of mirth. Was it sick and twisted? Absolutely. But he took joy in destroying toons and found the detective's brother's death hysterical.
@@SlanderedGaming been thinking about this all day. Demon - GD makes sense to me from a redeemer point of view. Play demon in a way that you hate the powers you have and try to be better then you are.
so class wise i was thinking - Tortured Crusader who is on the brink of sending themselves to Phrasma after finding out they have demonic powers but through the meeting of 3 character's he finds the will to keep going and to forgive himself. These characters are Ember, Arueshalae & Hal
Lich also work with half spellcaster or melee one, you still have strong magic and abilitys as lich, i did one run with Oracle Lich it was fun :D also you Ainz Ooal Gown was better pick for Lich :D
Unless they patched it out, if you merge your spellbook before becoming a Legend, you get to keep those spells. Which means that if you went Lich, you get to keep Vampiric Blade. Makes it easy to go fighter -> wizard -> EK and heal yourself to full every time you full attack. And unless they fixed it, a single bard level removes arcane spell failure from shields (as opposed to just for bard spells like it says), so you can dip a single level for the AC and aesthetic.
For angel I like the Angel of Death. A dhampire priest of balance worshiping Phrasma alternating between channeling healing and channeling harming, Sabel company marine goes well with Azata letting you have both a griffin and dragon has animal companions The legond is the only way to make the mystic theurge work more so if you chose a arcane and Devine caster that share the same casting stat you can end up with l25 Devine caster l25 arcane caster
Warpriest is a mess of archetype but it goes well with Golden Dragon since it uses a lot of stats (str to fight, dex to ac, con to be in front, wis for spell and cha for channel). My first roleplay scenario is an priest of Gorum who goes a little crazy thinking that the Demon path thirst for battle is a sign of Gorum blessing but goes into a redemption path after realizing the abyss don't give a single fuck about Gorum "honorable war" (it's a good use for all the greatswords in the game and a really fun warrior learning that peace is an option tale). The other option is a even more ridiculous Nethys Warpriest that use all those "you can cast x arcane spell as a wizard" quarterstaffs and see the Demon path destruction as part of Nethys duality until it's go so bad he needs to hit the redemption button (it's probably a mess but I love the idea of a nerdy guy and his magical bonk stick turning into a giant dragon because he's out of spell slots).
Trickster’s crit cheese feats paired with the new fighter subclass sounds truly absurd, dual wielding estocs or scythes. Maybe dip into that then go something like bloodrider or cavalier to get a mount and ensuring that you’re always making a full attack as opposed to losing a ton of efficacy spending a round getting into position. Seems like it would make for a truly asinine crit fishing build. Not sure about the story implications b/c I’m still on my first (angel) playthrough, but knowing a bit of the trickster mechanics, I can see the potential to build something truly bonkers.
You can get a pet with trickster path with lore religion skill lvl2 you choose a domain … you might need one feat, but as a warrior you have plenty of them, try to get the capstone skill at lvl 20 from titan trickster, it’s absurdly OP … and even more OP … start as a titan trickster grab all the crit extra feats from trickster and the go into legend with the other new OP ranger with a griffon … I’m telling you, even without buffs in unfair it’s a wrecking ball of massacre and destruction. Enjoy !
@@SlanderedGaming First of all I cannot praise your approach enough: this exactly why I love WotR, the thematic builds. So some fun thematic ideas: Trickster: Herald of the Horn. Combo Ear piercing scream with Perfectly normal spell and Voice of the Faceless. You get spammable scream that scales. Just like Black Canary 😄 Gold Dragon: Brown fur transmuter into Eldritch knight. This is my Ancient One from Dr. Strange build where this young magician turns to dark forces (Lich) to saves the World from destruction but ín the end is unwilling to sacrify her friends and redeems herself. she is a great martial combatant with powerful spells. Demon: Shadowcaster. He uses his shadow spells to trick and enslave everyone and kill those who oppose him with horrifying visions (weird). Like Loki he is a wounded person who thinks every body wronged him. Just from the top of my head 😂
Nothing beats a Sylvan Sorcerer azata, with zippy magic, favorable msgic, best jokes and enchantment focus. Every single enemy is literally on the floor laughing, with a single cast 😂. Oh, and you have two pets.
I wouldve said Inciter works even better for Triackster both thematically and mechanically, you are taunting your opponents giving your allies sneak damage etc
WW fits more as an Azata than an Angel. She came from a magical island that revives women killed in hate crimes to give them a second life of peace and love to dismantle the injust laws of the men world.
@@SlanderedGaming Kalavakus gets free attack against target of combat manuvers, even if the manuver fail. Kintecist (and I just leaned that Wolf Shifters can do it as well) can get a free trip against attacked targets. Both of those abilities keep triggering each other, even if the attack miss or the trip fails. So... insta kill everything. Is it cheating? Kinda. Is it fun? oh yeah.
are angel and lich not roughly equal to azata in terms of magic runs? i mean yes you dont get the dc increase and no zippy magic, but who needs that if you are equipped with elven magic, spell focus bloodline dc increases etc. I personally can confirm you CAN easily play mage parties as a non azata and you are NOT gimped. on the other hand... azata is hands down the best mythic path for your soul and for fancy hybrid builds (free teamworks feats and proficiencies if needed). yes it is the best path
Ehh, I would say renegade aeon is spirit of the law, true aeon is letter of the law, and devil is corruption of the law. Or devil is using the law as a weapon for your own purposes rather than being a neutral arbiter. Like a true aeon is not going to stretch the law to do anything, it either says you’re guilty or not, no wiggle room, and the true aeon shouldn’t care either way, whether the verdict benefits the aeon is irrelevant. Edit: like the two types of aeon’s are like the two types of judges, strict textualists vs those that view the law as living document/subjective to an extent. A devil is a corrupt judge that is bribed or paid off, warps the law to make the innocent guilty or make the guilty innocent.
@@miavaughn2393 My argument is that the spirit of the law was to punish good and evil acts that break the law equally. Renegade might be more merciful on good acts and more harsh on evil acts.
For me personally, this is definitely one of those games that are more fun to think about playing or watch videos about rather than actually playing. You need a college degree in table top gaming to build your party in this game and its impossible to do from the start. Then you add in Mythic Paths and the weird ways to unlock them ontop of it...
Okay so after having a run with (almost) all of the archetypes (that are actually viable for Unfair), I think I can confidently state that each Mythic Path has a LORE-ACCURATE and LOGICAL choice (aka build that is Unfair-viable). This is my opinion only though so... take them with a pinch of salt. Warning long read if you decided to... 1. Aeon. Shifter (any archetype is fine). There is nothing much to say tbh being LOCKED into absolute Neutral is by definition, the CANON route for an Aeon and a Shifter to take. Wisdom prio means the cloak you get (that is mostly useless for other paths) will be absolutely INSANE and I mean hilariously OP and really fun to say the least. Aeon, Shifter they just make sense tbh. No arguments here. 2. Angel. Crusader. I mean what can I even say here? Motherless Tiefling Angel Crusader riding a boar with the Gravesinger is pretty much... the canon path for Wrath of the Righteous tbh. Iomedae worshipping with the Good domain for maximum roleplay value :)) I disagree bout Radiance btw Seelah should be the one using it, imho it is her sword after all. Again there is little argument to be have here Angel Crusader is the canon path for the game, and I dont think anyone can argue otherwise. 3. Azata. Primalist. Well what can I even say here? Azata Primalist is just the default and pretty much the ONLY viable martial build for Azata. There are like a dozen viable sorcerer/wizard builds for Azata (especially Magic Deceiver you will get a lot of roleplay value from Azata tbh) BUT only Primalist is viable for Azata. I would prefer Angelkin BUT I guess human could also work, same for one of the Tiefling archetypes. HOWEVER the default race should be Dhampir tbh it is really fun to play a mischievous undead joker :)). Feelsfree to think of a better fit BUT you cant change my mind about Dhampir Azata Primalist tbh it simply makes lots of senses and feels very very powerful to me. 4. Demon. Gnome Kineticist. You can try the new Kinetic Sharpshooter and abuse the brokeness before Owlcat nerfs it to the ground (there is a big bug that massively favors you which should be fixed really soon) BUT Gnome Kineticist makes the most senses to me. One of the few races which offers a bonus to your CON, and Pyromaniac should work fine with the mythic spells for Demon. It is simply the most logical choice for Demon tbh, nothing else to say. 5. Devil. Hellfire Ray spammer Wizard. Specifically Exploiter Wizard any race is fine though I believe Tiefling makes the most sense? But tbh Elf would be more powerful... Azata -> Devil while playing a corrupted Tiefling Exploiter Wizard seems like an amazing roleplay experience to me. Devil still sucks ass though so... Ehhh. 6. Gold Dragon. Oh there is not much to say here Sorcerer -> Dragon Disciple with Gold Dragon Bloodline it is as bland and boring as you can possibly get. Ofc you can try some sorts of Rogue builds with d10 Sneak Attacks BUT thematically speaking it is Sorcerer -> Dragon Disciple all day everyday. Anything else would not make senses tbh. 7. Legend. Lich Witch -> Legend makes the most senses to me. Full redemption mode starts really evil and corrupted then when Iomedae comes down you ask her for forgiveness. Very very powerful martial build you can either go Vivisectionist dualwielding or a charging Disciple of the Pike build with Legendary Proportion both makes a lot of senses and either is fine tbh. Ofc starts with Witch of the Veil to cheese the early game then takes levels in Eldritch Knight. Monk dip is highly recommended BUT not necessary really considering you will be invisible most of the times. There can be much argument here BUT Angel/Trickster -> Legend doesnt make much sense to me especially Trickster you do not have any mythic power in the first place, so what can you even give up? Angel is about mercy/retributuion so giving up your mythic powers doesnt make sense either, NOT to mention you really needs that Sword of Heaven... Again this is my PERSONAL opinion it is not a fact, and I dont think I can be correct all the times either so feelsfree to challenge my POV. 8. Lich. Wizard. Specifically Thassilonian Specialist focusing on Gluttony. Merging with Lich pretty much solves all your problems tbh then I guess you can go Dragon Disciple -> Eldritch Knight or just grab 10 levels in Arcane Trickster/Loremaster for a full caster build BUT I reckon for a Lich, a gish build would be much better. Again not much to say, TS Lich has always been a thing for the longest time and nothing could ever change that. You can pick ANY class with Lich BUT when you play TS, you go Lich as simple as that tbh. I think Elf makes the most senses specifically Blightborn BUT I guess Human or Half-Orc can also work. 9. Trickster. Go Legend! Pure Trickster can maybeee work but yeah I feel the entire path is just a prerequisite for Legend no jokes I think the only time pure Trickster can work is when you take the Wizard Spellbook trick on a Mutation Warrior or Instinctual Warrior to give them the level 9 buff spells... But yeah go Legend! Nothing else to say tbh. 10. Swarm-that-walks. Oracle Angel. Nothing else to say the path is really bad you only get full power at Mythic 10 which is like... at the very end of the game (unless you have the DLC) when there is like 1 hour left for your build to start blasting then I dont believe anything besides Oracle Angel could work. They should give 4 clones at Mythic 9 tbh 3 clones is a bit too few barely enough to beat the insanely boosted Gallu Stormcallers they will rip your entire team of 6 apart very easily on Unfair, and running to the Threshold with a team of 3 is pretty much suicidal to me. You CANNOT go anything else besides Oracle Angel, and I dont think there is much argument to be made tbh pretty much the only viable choice for Swarm on Unfair here. Again this is all subjective. Plzzz take it with a pinch of salt thanks you for making it this far it has been... quite a journey tbh :))
Your Judge Dredd playthrough still sticks in my mind. Your delivery of "THE LAW!" is spot on.
LOL Thank you!

But that might be unbalanced
Did I just get a recommendation on how to play Gambit?
AWESOME!!!!
Great video!
Yes! Thank you!
Personally, for theme, I would submit Magic Deceiver with the Chronomancy feature for Aeon.
See I thought about that but didn't like it because the Aeon doesn't deceive. So inherently I felt like it didn't work.
@@SlanderedGaming Fair
Would love to see another video doing this for companions, like the nenio thumbnail.
The way you pronounced kyoraku shunsui hurt me physically :D.
Especially since I just cosplayed that character this year.
Love your content! Keep up the good work
Thank you! Will do!
Any chance you could do a full video on the Crossblooded Lich?
I was considering what mythic path to use with my new Bloodseeker Slayer, Legend sounds perfect!
actually working on a titan fighter angel playthrough atm since all the dlc is out. going at least 9 titan fighter for the str scaling, thinking 3 hellknight, maybe more just for the flavor and how well smite chaos scales with attack quantity. kinda fast and loose with weapon types, used a glaive+shield for the early game to keep attack rolls decent, currently using 2 greataxe in chapter 2. later I'm thinking falchions for that tasty crit range but also toying with the idea of just going back to shield and taking shield bash feats. so many options but it's felt strong the entire way. all the benefits of 2h damage rolls while still pumping those attacks per round.
Hellknight with Angel?! Wow I never even considered it. LOL
Nice Titan Fighter and Demon should go together very well.
Great video. Got me interested in magic deceiver azata. Love your devil playthrough as well.
When you said nine tail heir was horrible, i freaking felt that. Played it during my first time when i didn't know better and, well, never again.
I need advice for Sneaky Quack. Do Healing Potions count?
Just my thoughts to share and builds I put together: (mostly commenting to boost the interaction)
Aeon I love kineticist.
Is this just me or you made a gangrel vampire in your legend build?
Ooooo yeah that works too!
Is there another suggestion for Titan Fighter than Angel?
Did Angel on my first playthrough, so I really wanna do something else for my titan fighter. Maybe Trickster?
Trickster would be great and Demon would also work really well.
hold up... do swarm clones get their own hag granny?
No the pet doesn't repeat.
Whats a good alternative to shifter + bloodseeker for legend mythic path? I want to play a bloodseeker but unfortunately cant buy the other DLC too
torrent
I would have thought Chronomancer was a pretty strong thematic contender for Aeon. Also, resetting your Aeon's bane as well as Aeon spellbook is very useful.
Considering the deceiving part of the class, I’d pick John Constantine for the magic deceiver azata.
Ohhhhh. I want to play as a magic user next run. I like that idea
-I personally hate aeon, but i thought im gonna put my oppinion here anyways --> Winter Child
-Azata is not about zippy magic, zippy is the "troll/fun" mechanic, the double roll on spell dc's, the shared teamwork feats are what its at imo. also the theme of it is worth it on its own. I personally use azata for my questionable hybrid builds as it gives me the things i cannot get with those non optimized builds (and makes them unfair viable)
-Demon Shaman is a GREAT combo and im happy to see you are the 2nd content creator who is pointing it out. but lets be real, if you are a shaman you are earthbound and you would NEVER follow a demon mythic path, so yeah.. its very immersion breaking.
Yeah it took a while but I've definitely come around on Shaman. Glad you enjoyed the Light Yagami choice!
My fellow trickster haters. I can’t stand it conceptually or how busted it is as well.
It's been so long since I've seen that movie but thinking back you are right good call out.
That's some nice content and video bro, keep it up 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thanks! Will do!
I think Dettlaff from The Witcher 3 is also a great candidate for a Bloodseeker playthru
what path would you use before going gold dragon?
Probably Angel or Aeon.
@@SlanderedGaming been thinking about this all day. Demon - GD makes sense to me from a redeemer point of view. Play demon in a way that you hate the powers you have and try to be better then you are.
so class wise i was thinking -
Tortured Crusader who is on the brink of sending themselves to Phrasma after finding out they have demonic powers but through the meeting of 3 character's he finds the will to keep going and to forgive himself. These characters are Ember, Arueshalae & Hal
Azura kinetic knight was one of my first runs. Still one of my favorite runs.
My swarm started out as a lich, lich spells carried me until until the swarm had grown. Then I didn't need spells anymore.
Hmmm I am honestly not sure if they patched that out.
Bleach thousand year blood war has been kick ass. I want to play a titan fighter now
I haven't watched it at all might need to catch that!
I'm going the Hag witch subclass plus lich.
The swarm with Gambit?! Don't mess with the Cajun.
😂
For angel I like the Angel of Death. A dhampire priest of balance worshiping Phrasma alternating between channeling healing and channeling harming, Sabel company marine goes well with Azata letting you have both a griffin and dragon has animal companions The legond is the only way to make the mystic theurge work more so if you chose a arcane and Devine caster that share the same casting stat you can end up with l25 Devine caster l25 arcane caster
Nice all great options!
Fiendflesh Shifter seems to be the obvious choice for Demon.
Enjoy !
While I don't agree with most of your suggestions I'm grateful for the video, really good choice 😂
LOL Thank you! What do you feel like would be some better combinations?
@@SlanderedGaming First of all I cannot praise your approach enough: this exactly why I love WotR, the thematic builds.
So some fun thematic ideas:
Trickster: Herald of the Horn. Combo Ear piercing scream with Perfectly normal spell and Voice of the Faceless. You get spammable scream that scales. Just like Black Canary 😄
Gold Dragon: Brown fur transmuter into Eldritch knight.
Neat idea!
Thank you!
Still trying to get bladebound magus to work kinda confused why “manifest black blade” doesn’t manifest a black blade though that might be user error
That's true but I think she also fits very well as an Angel because she's a symbol of peace and goodness.
Demon is Kintecist, of course. I mean, no disrespect to the options you suggested, but seriously, infinite damage loop just wins everything else.
Hmmmm what is the infinite damage loop with Demon?
@@SlanderedGaming Kalavakus gets free attack against target of combat manuvers, even if the manuver fail. Kintecist (and I just leaned that Wolf Shifters can do it as well) can get a free trip against attacked targets. Both of those abilities keep triggering each other, even if the attack miss or the trip fails. So... insta kill everything.
Is it cheating? Kinda. Is it fun? oh yeah.
Oho, I like this idea
Glad to hear it!
If you play a Legend Mystic Theurg you can be a 25/25 or 30/20 caster.... Nothing chide about it :)
And if you were either an angel or lich before that with merged spellbooks, the books stay mergerd (unless they patched it out at some point).
@@Syaniiti So basically a 30/30 ?
@@IKerensky You do lose the caster level but get to keep the spells if I remember correctly, been a few years since I did that.
dang nice video yall
Thank you!
2:03 "you also get gays"
😂
I just don’t always love having to go azata for every single caster basically.
are angel and lich not roughly equal to azata in terms of magic runs? i mean yes you dont get the dc increase and no zippy magic, but who needs that if you are equipped with elven magic, spell focus bloodline dc increases etc.
I personally can confirm you CAN easily play mage parties as a non azata and you are NOT gimped.
on the other hand... azata is hands down the best mythic path for your soul and for fancy hybrid builds (free teamworks feats and proficiencies if needed). yes it is the best path
I don't think Azata clears Angel or Lich. You should give them a try. :)
@@SlanderedGaming i actually have played them ;) not completed tho..im not getting warm with either of em
"A-on". E-on is an amount of time.
No the "a" is silent. It's pronounced exactly like eon. :)
Quick correction: The letter of the law would be Devil.
Spirit of the law would be true Aeon.
Hmmmm I don't think I agree with that. Spirit means that you decide whereas the letter means that the law decides.
Bananaz!
